I'm hosting a bridal shower there at the end of the month and would love to have a connection for some delicious, iced cookies to give as favors.

Hi All! my boyfriend of 4 1/2 years popped the question on Christmas Day and I could not be any happier. I live in Coral springs, and my head is around spinning with of wedding stuff. we don't have a date set yet, but I just like to look to see what is out there and get ideas of what I like. For those who are on here who are planning like crazy, can you give me some tips on unqiue venus, my FI doesn't want a beach wedding, like actually on the beach, but he does like an outside wedding like on the inner coastal. All ideas are welcome, I would just like to look and see how the venue sets up for weddings.

Rehearsal dinner Miami Beach/South Beach

Hi Knotties,

Can anyone recommend a restaurant or venue for a rehearsal dinner on Miami Beach or South Beach? That's where our wedding is and we have a lot of out of towners. If we consider Brickell or elsewhere, we would have to provide a bus.

The place needs to have a large enough private area to accomodate 100+ people.

I'm open to casual places and fancier places, to have options to choose from.

Any suggestions?

Has anyone rented a bus for 40-50 people to and from a set location in Broward? Either to transport guest to and from a reception or bachelorette party or something? Any idea what this would cost? I would need one for about 1/2 hour each way, but the party in between (I guess the bus waits? ) will be 4 hours. Thanks!

Hi my name is Latira and of course im a South Florida girl to my heart..I got engaged May for mothers day and ive been in plan mood every since...our date is 8/16/2014, which gives us ample time to do what we would like to do for our wedding but now im in venue search and i want to book it by Jan/Feb of next year.. Has anyone heard of the Fire Tower Miami in Doral??

I saw the video on Youtube but i want to knw from a personal side how is the place, im gonna go there sometime in Jan to take a look at it but its either that place or Miami Springs Country Club (which is still nice)..

South Florida reception venues allowing outside catering

Hey ladies I am having my wedding Feb 2014 with an estimated guest count between 250-270 including bridal party and FI and I. Our ideal location is Broward county south of Plantation, FL and Miami, FL. The reception will be buffet style with hired waitstaff who will be serving a family cooked menu that my FI and I have created and provided the cooks on both sides of the family. The places that I looked into did not have enough capacity but did allow homecooked meals WITHOUT the need of a caterer's license which is what I am looking for. I am even willing to use university ballrooms or halls.

So I went and checked out Curtiss Mansion yesterday and I do have to say this place is beautiful. This venue is already beautiful enough so any bride would need minimal decorations. I did fall in love with the venue, but I didn't fall in love with the rental fee. Due to their upcoming rennovations their rental fee is going up to about $6000. I thought FI was going to fall over in his grave when he heard that. For other brides that have more of a budget to work with I highly recomment the venue. The events coordinator was amazing, helpful, and honest. For any of you other knotties that are interested in the venue I HTH!

Have any of you ladies checked out the Thalatta Estate? That's the next venue I'm looking into. Thank you

-i love rusty pelican but their post-reno prices aren't an option, i don't think
-anyone know anything about trio on the bay?
-my other dream location is the bath club, but again, prices might not be an option

-similar ideas to the bath club (private, unique space, waterfront) and rusty pelican (unbelievable views, don't have to worry about tables/chairs/linens, waterfront)

Hey Guys, This is my first post here! I'm trying to get some info about the Miami Springs Country Club as a venue for wedding and ceremony. How flexible are they in terms of bringing in your own menu and decor? What is their rental fee liked, etc? I'm a big DIY girl and actually like the hunt and chaos of planning, esp when things go right! My budget will be about 6 to 8,000 dollars total. My family has hosted events for 250 people for way less than that but I want the sexy wedding feel as well so linens, chairs, flowers will cost. But in my mind, if the venue has white linens sexify it with rented blue sheer overlays. I planned my nursing school pinning ceremony a few years back and know of a few places to really shop on a budget. We would like to have it in July with as many guests as possible. I want it to be beautiful but most importantly we don't want to leave out anyone because we are stuck to 80 or 100 dollars per person. I want real Jamaican food cooked by my family, and a real party and dance the night away celebration. I looked at parks and you have to be out by 11pm and that too early. We want a sunset ceremony as well. Any info about this venue would be great! Thanks in advance folks! Happy New Year to all!
