Well, I sold the trumpet vases I put up here the other day so I figured I'd post a pic of the other ones to see if there's any interest in them.

These are huge tulip vases (check out the photo).

28.5" tall

mouth opening is 10"

can hold almost 4 gallons

Just like the other ones, these were part of our DIY flower project that fell apart due to lack of time. Our florist used a couple though (photo on the left below). I have 12 of these!

My finance and I are thinking of getting married in September or October with a $25,000 budget. We like outdoorsy/rustic (without being too Southern).
I (the bride) am Vietnamese and would like to do most of the traditions.

We are having trouble deciding the timeline with the intercultural wedding, finding an affordable nice venue that will fit about 350 wthin the budget!.

Any ideas on possible locations that would have a nice cerermony area and would fit 350 (again within the budget?)

DO NOT block rooms here! This is the WORST hotel!!!!! I blocked rooms months ago here for a cheaper option for our guests (we also reserved rooms at W-Midtown). They never returned calls, emails, faxes. It was horrendous.
Well, we still had the block so I put their information on my accommodation card and mailed out my invites last week. My friend called me today and told me that they are closed the entire month of May for rennovations and THEY NEVER LET ME KNOW! They told my friend she should contact me.
Ugh- do not work with this company.

Hi! I'm the sister of the Groom and my mom and I are starting to plan the Rehearsal Dinner for a July Wedding at The Georgia Club (just west of Athens GA).

We are not from the area - any recommendations for a great place (either restaurant or other catered venue)? Would be nice to have some Southern charm, great food, and room for about 50-70 people. Anywhere near or in Athens should be fine.

Since it will be July, inside is best! But would be great to have a nice view if possible.

If you're having trouble at YOUR tux vendor finding a matching vest and tie and pocket square, call around to find a place that has more selections. You don't have to get everything from one place and there's always the option of purchasing the vests (if you're using them) and ties for all of the guys. If coordinating the colors is important to you and you don't like the choices - there are alternatives!

BUT...my engagement is off and I would like to sell my dress. I live in Alpharetta, so I thought this would be a good place to put this. The sad part is, it hasn't even come in yet. It's due in May. Anyone getting married in June or later...keep reading.

Obviously, I never tried it on, so no alterations. WITH the exception that I am 6ft tall and I had extra length added. Its a david's size 18, which is around a 12-14 street size depending on your shape. If it helps, I'm a size 14, 38DD and the gown was big in the waist a bit. Photos really do not do this dress justice. I saw it on the hangar and thought it was pretty but it looks amazing on.

I paid $650 for the dress with the garment bag. I'm asking $550. Since I've never touched the gown, I feel like this is a fair deal.

I'm excited to finally find mine and my fiance's wedding venue. FINALLY we have found "the" venue for us. Anyone want advice, ask me, I've searched everyone in the metro atlanta area, etc. We are caterers and know tons of vendors enough to take care of us for our wedding, so we have been looking for a venue which will allow all outside vendors, low cost, beautiful place. I started to cry when we were walking around. It's what I really want and so nice. I'm happy to be officially going to book it on tuesday. I'm excited. All we really need now are save the dates, invitations, his ring, my band for my ring, bridesmaid and groomsmen outfits, and find a wonderful cruise for a honeymoon. Any brides have any advice on cruises let me know, or any of the above. I'm so excited! We're writing our own menu and a friend we know is cooking it with our catering supplies and equipment. I'm SO excited. ;) Anyone else just find their venue?

ATL caterers - HONEST opinions needed please!!

Hey all...our venue only gives us a short list of caterers we can use, and quite frankly, they have been pretty hard to work with/unresponsive/inflexible.That said, since we would like to serve more than cake at the wedding (though I'd be fine if we didn't!), we have to go with one of them. So I need some honest feedback from brides who have used any the following caterers:
- A Legendary Event
- Proof of the Pudding
- Bold American
- Affairs to Remember

Is there one that we absolutely should stay away from? One that's really amazing? Any advice would be appreciated!! Many thanks!

Hi all,

I'm helping one of my best friend's plan her wedding near Stockbridge. I'm her matron of honor. I live in NYC now, so it is hard for me to help her from a long distance. I got married in Miami, so I don't know where anything is there. I LOVED the Knot for my planning, and I've told her about coming on here. But, she doesn't know how to navigate the site. LOL

SO... that being said.. HELP! lol She is looking for a cathedral length veil. She is on a budget and can't spend a lot of money on it. I actually bought my shoulder length veil online for an awesome price and loved it. She is too skeptical of doing that. David's Bridal - where she got her dress, is too over priced for a veil with her budget.

Any ideas on where she could go in the south atlanta, or atlanta area, to look at some low-budget priced pretty veils??

Hi Knotties! I'm hoping you can help.

I'm looking for a luxurious feeling venue (ceremony & reception) anywhere from Sandy Springs/Perimter area north to Dahlonega as far east as Duluth and as far west as East Cobb. I know, widespread :)

I have a ton of food allergies and my fiance is Australian. I am looking for venues that will work with me on bringing food in to accomodate both food types or are able to create meat pies, pavlovas and foods I can eat. We're looking to have it indoors, but I would also love to have the ceremony with a lake/mountains background.

If you have any ideas please help!!
