My mom came across an all-inclusive company that has its own catering, flowers, photography, etc online and has talked with the person many times " 5 Star Corporation of Companies" . However, their website is unimpressive and I can not seem to find any information about them online or in any books. Does anyone know about this company or companies they work with because I don't want a scam :( ?

We just went to look at our first wedding venue this weekend and both fell in love with it. It's what we had pictured and the location is only 10 minutes from my house. I'm a little cautious about booking it without looking at other venues first to be sure it's what we want. The other venues I have looked at online look very similar to the one we visited this weekend, but we would have to drive 30 minutes ore more to the other locations. Is it ok to book a venue without looking at others, or should we shop around first? The lady has 2 other brides who want our date who are coming to look at the venue this week.

Has anyone used The Pros for wedding photography or videography in Atlanta? What was your experience with the photographer/videographer? What did you think of the quality of the photographs/video? What were the photo albums like? We are thinking of using them because they are very economical, but I am hesitant since we can't meet or even speak to the professional before the week of the wedding. We also can't see actual examples of an album. Thanks.

Ceremony and Reception venue together?

I have been looking for a place online that accommodate up to 130 guests where I can have my ceremony and then immediately have my reception, preferably not a church. I like the look of a lot of the old historical houses around Atlanta but they can hold 200 guest for a reception if they are standing and 125 guest for a ceremony if they are seated, but not both at the same time.

How do I do both without making my guest wait while they break things down to make space? Or does anyone know of a space big enough to hold a crowd of 130 that would need to sit for a ceremony and then immediately move over for a reception? My budget is around $1500 for the venue.

I'm getting married at The Biltmore. Using 1 ballroom for ceremony & the other ballroom for my reception. I don't plan on having a lot of flowers for the ceremony & whatever I do have I'll reuse in the reception. To give you an idea I'm having a total of 9 high centerpieces on tables. I have 7 BM, 7 GM, 2 FG, a ring bearer & probably a total of 4 ushers. Also 2 moms, 1 dad, & 2 grandmothers. Can anyone help with an estimate of how much it should cost. I'm thinking hydrangeas and/or calla lillies with bells of Ireland for reception pieces.

I'm getting married on Oct. 9 of this year in Dahlonega on a Sunday. I had my budget for DJ at about $500. As I've contacted several in the past couple of days it seems most of the packages start around $1000. Anyone know of a good lower cost Dj or do I need to look at cutting something else so I can spend more on that? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

Hey y'all! So I've got a question. My wedding is in May, I need to decide on save the dates ASAP to get them sent out. We are already at the top of the budget without things like the dress, flowers, dj, limo. Have y'all found that it is cheaper to make save the dates and/or invitations or order them? I don't know what to do! I almost think too that it would be cute to make save-the-dates and order invitations because of the ones I've seen (and believe me, I have not seen many) the classic ordered invitations look a little more classy than some that have been homemade. What do y'all think??? Help! I need to send out like 250 invitations so it's going to get pricey! Any advice you have would be great!

I was looking into Events by Dezine (in Cummings, GA) and Sun in my Belly.

Have you used or know anything good /bad about these vendors? I am in contact with Jennifer from Events by Dezine and she quoted me around $3K for 70 people. This is inclusive of Passed hor'deouves, buffet dinner, deserts, bartender...While Sun in my Belly is around $5K. Events by Dezine price if of course better but I wonder why it's low. OR is it because Belly is high?What is the estimate price range in ATL?

I've narrowed down my list of possible wedding locations, and Agnes Scott's Evans Hall is near the top of my list. They do catering in-house, and I heard from someone that their food wasn't good. The source isn't all that reliable, so I'm hoping someone else has tried it.

Has anyone had an experience there? One of the biggest things I want to avoid is spending thousands of dollars on bad food.

so we had to postpone till next fall since fh got deployed. the photographer we had booked is not available on our new date and thankfully was nice enough to give us our deposit back. soooo... looking for a photographer all over again and im not having any luck. i email several photographers whose work i like for more info, and got a lot of no responses and the few that responded didnt really give me any information or were completely out of my budget. sigh.
so any of you fabulous atlanta ladies have some photographer recommendations for me??? the wedding is in october 2011 in atlanta and my budget is in the 2k range.
