They did our wedding cake almost a year ago and were supposed to do our one year anniversary top tier cake but when I looked for their website it was no longer there and their phone number is no longer working...

Hello Knotties,

We're looking for an officiant in the Atlanta area (or anywhere our venue in Roswell, GA). My fiance and I are from different backgrounds, we both believe in God but our beliefs are slightly different (our parents and family too), so we don't want to offend anyone, we want a non denominational ceremony. We are on a tight bidget and prefer to not spend more than $100 if thats possible. Can you reccomend anyone that you think is awesome that can do our wedding for that price or less? We thought about getting a close friend or family to get ordained and do it but we decided to not go that route. Your help is appreciated!

Venue Pricing

Hey. I can't find pricing for King Plow, does anyone know how much they charge? Can you bring your own booze and catering? We would also be getting married there as well. I searched the forum for venues, but could use some help. We would like to bring our own caterers, keep it under 2 grand, and supply our own booze (if at all possible!). Getting married in the ATL is pricey!! We will also have tons of out of town guest and want to stay somewhere in the city, downtown if possible. Thanks!

Do the bar package or pay for liquor by the drink

The bar package is expensive. It would pay for 7 alcoholic drinks per person for the entire night. I am leaning towards a price per drink. I know I may drink 3 or 4 drinks on a wild night, but then I would drink soda or water. Usually I just have a couple of alcoholic drinks and then a glass of wine with dinner and sodas. I'm thinking we will come out ahead by doing a per drink charge. Any thoughts?

Hair and Makeup - Stylists who know how to work with flowers?

I'm planning on having my hair down and wavy/curly, maybe a small braid, but I definitely want flowers in my hair, purple or white orchids to be exact. Do you know of stylists in Atlanta who know how to work with live flowers in a down-do?

Bonus points if the same salon also has a make up artist for hire!

It's hard to find a good hair salon when there are so many to choose from. I'm interested in a salon where the stylist doesn't double and triple book because I hate staying in salons longer than I have to. Any recommendations? I have a relaxer in my hair so i'm basically looking for someone to maintain my hair. Suggestions please?

I need to find a place to get flowers in bulk roses, carnations, etc in good shape and cheap. I need to make enough centerpieces for 15 dinner tables, 10 cocktail tables, bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, and ceremony arrangements. Anybody know of any locations in the Atlanta area?

Our wedding was just 2 weeks ago and I would highly recommend the following vendors if you are looking in the Atlanta area:

Olde Towne Athletic Club for a venue. Bob Cooper was a great coordinator.

Avalanche Entertainment for a DJ. Joel McGuire is awesome! He has us on the dance floor all night!

Amy Hoga for a photographer. She is great and has awesome prices. She also takes awesome maternity and new born photos. You pretty much need her around for every phase of your life! :)

Thanks to these people our wedding was everything we could have wanted and more!

I am new to the area and struggling to find someone to do my hair and make up for my wedding on oct 30th!

Some places have trial prices almost as much as ontheday and i cant afford it, especially if i dont like it...and i dont know who to try/where to start...

the cheapest i have found is a guy my photographer recommended his trial is a great price at $45, and ontheday is $140. I just wondered if anyone on here knows anyone they can recommend...Im not looking for anything fancy just a simple up-do and basic natural make up. Everywhere is so expensive!!!

Hi! I bought my wedding dress about 6 months ago and since then I've went down two dress sizes. Needless to say, my dress (which is very detailed) needs to be taken in. I need a fabulous alterations person because I'm in love with my dress and I don't want someone to mess it up! People with personal experience would be very helpful! If you could tell me what they did for you and how much they charged that would be even better.
