So after reading many recommendations for airbrush makeup at Spa Bleu, I decided to make an appointment there for my wedding day. I called and specifically requested the highly-recommended makeup artist, Lynn Quann. Apparently, Lynn is the former owner of the spa. When I requested her services, I was not told she no longer works there. Instead, I was told that the receptionist would need to check Lynn's calendar and get back to me. After making several follow-up calls (because I wanted a trial run for the one weekend I'd be in town prior to the wedding), I was told that Lynn was unavailable but that someone named "Lindsey" (I think that was her name) was available to do my makeup. Well, we made an appointment for a trial run and she cancelled on me the day before my trial and for my only weekend in Savannah. FINALLY, I tracked down Lynn after doing some online research and learned she is no longer with Spa Bleu; however, Spa Bleu had assured her they would refer any brides who want airbrush makeup. Well, this did not happen for me and I want to warn anyone who contacts Spa Bleu for airbrush - to my knowledge they do not have an experienced makeup artist who handles airbrush makeup on staff. Regardless, their receptionist or whoever I spoke with LIED to me.

If you are interested in contacting Lynn Quann (with Savannah Makeup Professionals), this is her website.
http://www.savannahmakeupprofessionalsbylynnandcompany.com/about.html

Good luck and hope you do not encounter crazy issues like this!

I'm an old knottie from June08/Florida, and I recently moved all our stuff out of our old storage place in Florida. I found TONS of natural coral, mini shells and capiz shells (probably about a bog size rubbermaid container full) I have a couple of starfish, about 10 bigger pieces of coral, many sizes of capiz shells, andover 20lbs of broken coral.
I want to sell it as a lot, but will be willing to sell parts of it.
If you are interested, please email me at nani 8 nani at yahoo dot com

Hi! I am a North Carolina girl planning a small wedding in Savannah this upcoming February. We have a great reception site, in the North historic district. I need a ceremony venue somewhere near so that driving will hopefully not be necessary. All the pretty, historic venues I've found in the area are either really expensive or are outdoors. This will be February, so I need indoors. Any tiny chapels? Perhaps a small theater or other space, maybe associated with the SCAD? Perhaps outside but pretty and covered? I'm hitting a brick wall and would love some help from locals. The ceremony will seriously be 20 min, in and out, and I can't really justify paying a church 2500 for that. Any suggestions? Thanks, folks!

I have researched and visited several inns (Kehoe, Gastonian, Forsyth Park Inn, etc.) where I was hoping to do an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception, but they are all too small or they require a two day rental of all of their rooms- which I definitely can't do since all my guests live within 30 minutes of Savannah. I was hoping for something more rustic (with air conditioning and a roof! :) but I am willing to consider outside the box- museums, rental homes, etc. Any recommendations? Thanks so much for your help and ideas. I appreciate it very much.

I am having the HARDEST time finding elopement packages in Savannah! I've checked several places and their "elopement package" doesn't include what we need - which is an officiant who will use the ceremony we wrote, a kid-friendly location, and filing all the necessary paperwork. Everything else you have to pay out the wazoo for and our 3 person wedding looks like it will end up costing us about the same as if we had invited 20 guests. Anyone have any ideas?

I am coming to Savannah after our wedding in September and I REALLY want to take some 'trash the dress' pictures in Savannah. Like... more specifically in the Forsyth Park Fountain... etc. Can someone recommend a photographer that they believe would do something this risky for some really great photos?! ;)

Thanks in advance!

My FI and I are getting married on Tybee in just over 1 month. We had planned on reserving tables at The Dolphin Reef--they are booked for the date and time we need. What other breakfast places either on Tybee or in Savannah are good and can hold a 25 person party?? We dont really want to do a full reception mainly because we dont have the time to plan it all out. :)

Hello everyone!
My name is Lacy. My fiancee Daniel is currently deployed to Afghanistan right now. We have our wedding date set for 05/05/12. He is from Atlanta, I am from central MO- but currently reside in TX. We are planning a wedding in Savannah, GA. I'm having a hard time finding venues, especially since I've never been to Savannah & I am SO far away. If there is anyone out there who is from Savannah, or had visited the area I would greatly appreciate any tips. We want to be married outside & would love something with a little character Big old trees, arches, unique lighting...anything. We are planning an evening wedding & are hoping to rent a venue for 1000.00 or less. Thank you in advance for the help! :)
-Lacy

Hi Ladies!

My fiance and I have decided to have a destination wedding in the Smoky Mountains. We would ultimately love to move down there......but one step at a time :)

I have looked at the following venues:

Brasstown Valley Resort (Young Harris, GA)
Chota Falls (Clayton, GA)
Samson's Hollow (Townsend, TN)

If you are from the area or you are getting married in the Smoky Mountains and know of some great venues for 50 - 75 guests, will you please let me know! We are planning a vacation to the Smokys at the end of this month and will be visiting the venues we are interested in. We would love an outdoor wedding and indoor reception, but could settle for an outdoor reception if it was tented.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks,

Cassie
