I've been helping a friend of mine shop for a dress for her wedding, which will be on October 27th. It's a small, fairly casual wedding (very short ceremony and dinner reception at Fulton's on the River), so she's not looking for anything incredibly formal. We were hoping we could just get her something off the rack or even a nice formal dress that happens to be white/ivory, but we haven't had a ton of luck.

So I just thought I'd see if any of you knew of any shops in or around Chicago where we might find something short, tea-length, or floor-length but very simple, that she could just buy and walk out with. We've tried Nordstrom and lots of other major department stores (Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Macy's formal dress collections) and are making an appointment with Macy's bridal for next week. I'm afraid that if we go to more of a traditional bridal salon, she'll have to place an order and the dress won't get in in time for her to get it altered before the end of next month. Am I missing some obvious options here?
Any suggestions would be very, very much appreciated!

New member here, though not planning my special day (yet). But I was hoping to get advice from Chicago locals. My brother is getting married next May (yay!) I'm very excited for him and my FSIL. However, I know she's been stressed out with balancing work, life, and wedding planning, and I wanted to do something for her in the week before the wedding to help her relax. I was thinking of arranging and covering a massage, facial, etc, just to pamper her, help her relax, etc. However, I'm from Florida and don't know which spas in Chicago to look at to arrange something of that sort, or if you ladies might have better suggestions (ie, what could an out of town relative do for YOU to help you relax?) Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Side note: I'm doing this early, I know, but the wedding is Memorial Day weekend, and I'm a recent grad on a budget- I need to get an idea of costs so I can save accordingly, and I can't do that without knowing of some places to check out. Im going to be married in December, my man grew up and still lives in Chicago, and I will be moving in with him after we get married. SO EXCITED! 

Anyways, I only lived in Chicago for one year..Im not too familar with the city at all, and i need help!

My wedding is garden themed, and will take place in Puerto Rico (where I currently live). Because we contracted a state-side photographer, my engagement session has to be in Chicago. We will take the pictures end of October which poses a problem.. Its fall then! xD Since gardens with nice blooms are out of the question, whats an indoor location good for a vintage, flowery themed session?? We dont have seasons here in PR, its spring all year around lol So id appreciate any suggestions!
