I'm looking at Old St Pats and they seem pretty accepting of other faiths, but I would also love to get married at Holy Name Cathedral.  I just joined the parish and am not too familiar with their stance on interfaith marriages.  If anyone has experience with either (or a church I haven't mentioned), please let me know what you think!

We are trying to plan our rehearsal dinner for Oct 3 from 7:30-9:30 ish. We are getting married at Holy Name Cathedral (where the rehearsal will be) and our guests are staying at both Embassy Suites and The Felix hotels. We are really trying to find a place within walking distance (not too far for elderly) for the rehearsal dinner. The other problem: we are really trying for the food/beverage minimum to be around $1500-1600. 

So far, we have found that Jake Melnicks is within out budget and right across the street, but that's the same type of food that we were gonna have at the wedding. We also really like the idea of having it at Lou Malnati's, but that's up in Gold Coast and a bit of a hike for out-of-towners. 

Giordano's doesn't host on weekends and Rosebud doesn't have a private room.

Any ideas on other locations?

I work and/or have family in the north, south, and western burbs, but am willing to ship as well.

I bought three different small, ivory boleros, and am selling the two that didn't win out.  They are a very light ivory (my dress was antique white, and they all matched it beautifully) and still have the tags on.  $50 each or both for $70.

I have an extra "Little People" wedding set I had intended to gift to my flower girl, but ended up finding something that fit her better.  These are also adorable toys to have around to entertain children at the reception.  $15

I bought my shoes in two sizes, and am selling the pair that didn't fit - brand new, never worn. Beautiful 2'' heal sandals in a champagne color.

I live in Chicago and I am trying to locate a venue for around $4000-$4500. Does anyone have any suggestions, suburbs are fine?

My fiance and I are looking for an inexpensive wedding venue in or around Chicago.  We live in Edgewater Glen, but would travel for a good venue, preferably close to the city.

We have a guest list right around 100 people and are looking for a venue that has flexibility with catering.  I really dislike these venues that force you to use their caterers for $100 a pop.  Is it possible to get it cheaper than this?

I want my total budget at or under 10k, and would be willing to go on the cheap on everything else if I can just find a reasonable venue and food.

My fiance and I really loved the look and feel of the Ravenswood Event Center, and places like Salvage One or Architectural Artifacts, but all appear to be out of the budget.  Any place that has a vibe similar, or is happy and sunny and neat and unique... would be great.

If you have any insight please weigh in.  Is this even possible in this town? 

My fiance and I are planning an Oct. 2015 wedding and although it is well over a year away, we'd like to start looking at venues for our reception to get an idea.  Hoping to stay away from downtown Chicago and stay within the North/Northwest suburb area.  I have a gluten intolerance and with other members of our family who are celiac, we're looking at places that allow the use of outside caterers.  Does anyone have any recommendations on places to rent? Any caterers that were great at a good price? Gluten free bakeries?  Right now, we're estimating a wedding of 150.  Thanks much!  

Also, I'm getting no answer on the phone for Marriage and Civil Union Court, but my assumption would be that cameras would not be allowed in a court house?  As a photographer myself, I'd be heartbroken if I couldn't have pictures of the ceremony. 

Any help?

A couple of my bridesmaid are giving birth just a couple of weeks before my wedding. I am so honored they still want to participate and I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for bridesmaids dresses. They obviously won't know what size they'll be so I'm thinking we need to either find some amazingly comfortable dresses or a store with a GREAT customer service/return policy so they can get dresses in a few sizes and return the ones they don't want. 

Do you have any suggestions??? Thanks for your help!

I'm an old married woman helping my sister out.  She's looking for a venue that serves family style food in the western burbs (Think Downers Grove, Wheaton, Lombard, anywhere like that) that's about $60/person and can allow her to choose polish AND "american" food.  So far I've only found Carriage Greens in Darien that accommodates this (going to call and look at them next week).  Are there any places you all know of that are like this?   Anyone have any insight on Carriage Greens?
