Booked my Videographer.

    I wasn't going to get a videographer because I know how super expensive they are but I was able to find someone that is just starting out her business so right now she has a beginner's rate. I was just going to buy a video camera and have someone tape it but after talking to her I got really excited to have a video.
    She will be taping all day and will give me 3 high def. Dvds. Right now her price is $500 but I am pretty sure it will be going up after she has been doing it awhile longer. She hasn't done a wedding yet until August but I really liked her anniversary video that she has on her website. I am sure her weddings will be alot more exciting than an anniversary video too!

How would you feel about using a port-a-potty?

Honestly, how would you feel? I'm having an outdoor wedding next september, the farm house has two bathrooms, I don't want to overload that plumbing system so i was thinking about getting port-a-pottys. I would of course have a nice table with a cute pitcher and water basin, fresh towels, purell, lots of purell, wetnaps, and other assorted things. I know it's not the best situation, but anyway i can make it better?

Alterations in Ames/DSM area

Anyone have suggestions for a good place to get my wedding dress altered in Ames or DSM? I'm sure as heck not going to DB, they were a big enough pain just to get my dress ordered. Everyone I ask always says "Oh well I got mine done at so-and-so... but I wouldn't recommend them..." I'm less than two months away from the wedding so I need to get this figured out fast!

iced tea rip-off

I just need to vent and have my feelings validated. Just got word from my caterer that if we want iced tea at the reception, it's $15 a gallon. Seriously? That is overpriced, right? We'll pay $1 per beer but a gallon of iced tea is $15.

Centerpiece idea

This idea came to me this weekend. We originally wanted to do 3 birch wood tea lights as our centerpiece BUT I am having a hard time finding mor trees to cut down. So, This is what I my FMIL and I came up with this weekend.

Hey! I know there is a HM board I just wanted to let you guys know I tried Priceline for the first time and scored big!!! Whoohoo!!! We got our hotel in Puerto Rico for $110/night and its reg about $160/night :) Its sooooo niiiccceee (and on the nicest beach in San Juan!!)

How many M&Ms for favor boxes??

I'm trying to decide how many M&Ms I would need to fill 125 or so favor boxes. I wouldn't want them totall full, but with 10 or so M&Ms and a couple Hershey kisses.
Anyone know how many actual M&Ms come in a 5 pound bag?? I should probably just buy a 5 pound bag and see how far it gets me; there's still time to buy more if needed. I'm going to buy the personalized ones you can make - they are just SO cute!

I get along with everyone at work but one person. In my office there about 21 people I work with, including other nurses, doctors, my manager and office staff. I get along with everyone but one nurse. She starts a lot of un-necessary drama and is very selfish and immature. I talk to her when I have to but otherwise ignore her as much as I can.

Well people of course ask me about my wedding and I talk about it to them. I don't say anything to her but she might occassionally be around when I talk with others about it. I do not want to invite her but everyone else will be invited. However, I know that if I do exclude her from my guest list she will then just be really annoying. She'll talk about me even more and be nasty if I ever need anything from her.

Ok, we are getting married at his parent's place and we need to rent chairs or borrow chairs. If we rented the white chairs it would be about $500.00 OR we could borrow the metal folding chairs for free. I know that I shouldn't be picky and should probably just take the free metal folding chairs and come up with a way to decorate them because, it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things right??

I am soooo excited!!! We met with Jason from Moonwell Photography and he went completely above and beyond! He was CLIMBING walls to get good angles, went in the water to get shots of us splashing (and got soaked!!!), and was literally running all over with different lights and flashes. I can't wait to get our pictures back!!!
