So my fiancee and I are obsessed with tetris .... and of course he wants to incorporate our well know tetris fund into the wedding. So we saw these tetris ice cube trays and decided we'll make tetris shaped chocolates. Now we have bags and bags of melting chocolate, gift baggies, ribbon, the whole shabang .... EXCEPT THE MOLDS. Which are no longer made ... so our hope is that one of you fab ladies might know where we could get one ... or that I could purchase one off of you .... please help

My update
I got my invites in and I am not entirly happy but It was printed through vista print so I cant expect perfection but it is just a spacing issue and I can fix it with a pair of scissors so all is not lost.
Also I am talking to the lady that Molly had for her flowers and about to order those.Does it ever seem to anyone that their lists get longer by the day?

Hey girls I need some help. I am going to a bridal shower tomorrow for a person I do not know all that well. We were invited to the wedding out of respect for a friend that passed (its his twin brother's wedding) but I know the grooms side and not the birde. I honestly dont think I have even met her. First off I dont know what to wear since well its Maine and god forbid its warm on the days wehre wearing a dress would be nce. Second I dont know what to get her. Should I get her something off the registry or a gift card? if I got a gift card what should I spend? It is a lower class family so I was thinking like between 25-40 on the giftcard but I am not sure.

Engagement Ring Blues

This past week I was very ill and was home the whole time. I don't normally wear my ring when I'm sick because I can sometimes swell. Unfortunately I left my ring on my nightstand and didn't keep track of it all week and when I went to go put it on yesterday afternoon I couldn't find it. It looks like it might have gotten knocked into the trash bucket next to my bed and gone out with the trash yesterday morning.

I'm completely devastated for this to happen. I searched for over 2 hours last night and still have not found it. Unfortunately this was something I didn't think would be one of our problems while planning our wedding and don't have a whole lot of extra money. Does anyone know of any good jewelry stores around portland that we could go to and get another ring? I do have insurance on the ring I lost, but just in case they can't help us, I need an extra option.

Hi everyone!

I am getting married at fort williams state park in August. I am wondering if anyone has an suggestions for what we should do for decorations... the venue has these ugly blue pilers, and our colors are Pink and Orange. My MOH and I went up today to see how they would look with Tulle around them... the answer is not good. the blue just shows through the tulle. I dont know what to do!

Received my Bouquet along with my Bridesmaids Bouquets today- I was a little bit nervous ordering and paying online without seeing them in person first, but I couldn't be happier!!! When I was getting married 5 1/2 years ago, the knottie brides and brides-to-be were the BEST resource for ideas on vendors, locations, and everything else I was trying to make decisions about. Now that I'm a bridesmaid, I figured where better to go for help!? I am looking for the best places between Farmington and Lewiston/Auburn areas to hold a bridal shower. It will be a fairly small shower- say 25 guests. Someplace cute, with good food (probably just finger foods), but not crazy expensive. An indoor/outdoor option (depending on weather) would be nice. What is most important to me is hearing that others of you (whether it was your own shower or one you hosted or attended) had a good experience with certain places. Ok: GO! (and thanks in advance!!)

dress alterations in Bangor/midcoast?

Hey ladies, soooo I have re-done my centerpeice and I think its Perfect! buuuut I'd Like an outside Opinion too! what do you think??? a Friend of mine thought a Dark floating Candle to match the Dark rocks would be a more Dramatic evening look, thoughts?

annnd the Pew decorations! picture a dark purple ribbon tied around the top to attach it to the side of the pew. and My Mom is thinking of adding some Dried Lavendar, we will see! they were SO easy and cost roughly about 2.50 each

I am planning a Sept wedding on a tight budget. I Really want to be married up in Rangeley on the lake, I don't know if this is feasable with the money situation but we looked at the Rangeley Inn yesterday and found it to be a bit dissapointing in the decor...
If anyone has any ideas/experience in the area I would really appreciate the insight. I can't seem to find anything much online and the only other place I emailed had prices starting at $60 a plate!?! I'm more in the $20 a plate range.

registry wording

So I refuse to put the registry information on my invites but I am putting it on my website but I am not sure how to word it would out saying "get me this"
We are going to register at Target and Macys but we also LOVE Ikea but they do not have a registry so what is a nice way to put the places we are registered and also ask for Ikea gift cards if they do not want to do target or Macys?

here is what I was started to write before i realized that it sounded like i was saying "you better get me a gift"
We are registered at Target & Macy's
But if neither of these interest you then we would also love and Ikea giftcard.

does that sound like we are saying that they better get us a gift? I dont want to sound that way. How would you word this?

I am newly engaged, the first in my group of friends, and planning a Sept wedding this year on a Super tight budget. I don't even know where to begin and theknot is making me think I am crazy with their to-do list!
Looking for venues in Rangeley Maine, 70-80 guests, looking like a 5k total budget. I feel like this isn't doable after looking around but I really want to make it happen.
Any advice out there is welcome!!
