Hiya,
I'm looking for possible printers for my invites--I'm not into doing them myself unless I have to (not at all computer inner workings inclined beyond cut, copy, paste). Is there a school around southern Maine that has a printing program that anyone knows of or has used? I also am ont into spending great flipping wadges of cash on invites, I'm only mailing out sixty or so..
TIA Maine knotties!

So I was a regular around her for a loooong time and I always said I wouldn't be one of those girls who got married and then disappeared completely, but of course, that's exactly what happened. The new format over here is very strange to me and up until recently my computer would always freeze when I tried to access this page.

Anyway, I just thought I'd stop in and say hi and see how everyone is doing. For those who don't know me or are looking for vendor info, I used the following vendors for my Sept. 2009 wedding:

Andrea's Bridal, Jamaica Point Lodge, Tess Johnson of Tess J Photography (boudoir and wedding), Mike Davis Entertainment, Are You Ready to Party, The Senator Spa (manicure and pedicure pre-wedding), and Mum's Florist. If anyone is looking into any of those vendors and wants info, I'd be happy to give my opinion!

So, I have like 89 days until the wedding, crazy! The stress must be getting to me: I had a crazy dream last night that FI was marrying one of my bridesmaids, and I was HER BM. But FI broke his leg and couldn't make it to the wedding, so I had to reorganize everything and move the ceremony to the hospital, and I was running around trying to gather up all the decorations so I could decorate the hospital room! Random, huh? I remember in my dream saying to someone, "Well, I'm a bridesmaid, so I gotta do what I gotta do!"

Anyways, FI is laid back, and I've been trying to push him to take care of stuff earlier, but he's now finally realizing how little time we have left. He actually asked ME if we could go to Men's Wearhouse this weekend to pick out the tuxes. I was so impressed! I didn't even have to harass him. :)

How are your FIs doing with wedding planning?

So, with three months to the wedding, FI has decided he wants to ask his sister to be his fourth attendant. She was hurt when I didn't include her as a bridesmaid, so I'm hoping she'll be happy to be included, and not offended that it seems last minute (FI was very slow in picking all his groomsmen!).

I was hoping you ladies had suggestions about what she should wear. FI thinks she should wear a black dress to match the black tuxes. I know she has a black dress from another wedding she was in, so I thought that would also be easy for her to do with such a tight deadline. The bridesmaids are wearing clover green dresses, so I was thinking she could wear a green sash with the black dress. Or should she wear the same dress as the bridesmaids? Or a dress in the same green color?

Also, should she carry a bouquet like the bridesmaids? I don't think she should wear a boutonniere like the guys, but she could have a wrist corsage like the moms. If she does carry a bouquet, I was thinking of making her bouquet slightly different from the bridesmaids, but I guess I'm worried she'll feel like she's being singled out or otherwise be bothered that she's not being treated like one of the bridesmaids. I really like her and felt really bad about my decision not to ask her to be a bridesmaid, so I just want her to feel comfortable and happy!

I'm sure there aren't hard and fast "rules" on this, but if anyone has suggestions, I'd appreciate them!

Hi everyone!
So my Fiance and I changed our honeymoon plans...we were originally going to go to tennessee and then we decided on florida. I spent so much time looking for deals either in disney or in kissimmee so we finally found an awesome deal in kissimee and were just getting ready to book it when my fiances dad calls us and tells us he won the cruise from rite aid and he's giving to us!!! So we decided that were going to go stay at disney for 4 days then leave from orlando and go on the crusie to the bahamas!!!! So then we started looking at deals to stay in disney and we found an amazing one that I wanted to share incase anyone else was planning on going there...If either you or your fiance are in the military (my fiances in the airforce :) ) ..it can be retired, active duty or national guard, there is a place thats in disney called shades of green. Its a beautiful hotel that is right in disney with shuttles that run all day around disney and you get the same benefits as i fyou were staying at another hotel there (like the extra magic hours). it looked amazing so we emailed the info on when we wanted to stay and sent them his information and they sent us the confirmation back..It came back at only 95 dollars a night!!!!!!!! Im so excited and on top of that, they are running a special so that when we get there we can pick up our 4 day park hopper tickets that will only cost us $250 total!!!! originally they wouldve run us well over $600
Im so excited and just wanted to share, incase anyone else was planning on going there

While picking out a veil she told me about how she wore her veil over her face while she walked done the aisle and before her father gave her away he lifted the veil. I thought this sounded very sweet and it seemed like a nice tradition so I opted to do the same. My sister and a couple other friends said it seemed too old fashioned and it would be silly to do it.

Does anyone have any recommendations for florists who could do a Rockport wedding? I am having a terrible time trying to get florists to either call me back or give me a straight answer about cost.

Also, I'm interested to know how much you are spending on flowers. I am doing bouquets for me and my five girls plus boutonnieres/corsages for the ushers/moms/dads but I'm planning on cheaping out and doing non-floral table decorations. How did you guys do this?

Any advice would be great!

Hello :]
FI and I have just done a 180 in our planning process and decided to switch from a venue that includes everything (food, tables, chairs, linens etc.) to renting a space/tent and doing everything ourselves. I am having a hard time figuring out any pricing at all for a caterer. It could be $2,000 or $20,000, I have noo idea! We are having about 130 people in September of 2011. The venue we almost booked was about $38 per person for food only. How can I figure out if we would be saving money, or spending much more. Has anyone worked with a caterer recently? Who did you use? How did it go?
Thanks!

A lot of friends are willing to provide services for us like cake, invitations, favors, music and photography. Is there any way to pull off a reception for 300 with only $5000?
