I just got officially engaged on Saturday and my fiance and I are moving to Herndon, VA, but my mother is very keen on me getting married at the family church in MD. Are there any complications involved in getting married in another state from where we live? Anyone dealt with this?

There's some urgency around me finding a gown for a wedding I'm in (July 09). The bride is "visual" and needs to see me in a dress so she can choose it. Do you know of ANY shops that have plus sized gowns that I could try on... preferably in Baltimore, MD.

Depending on the cut & designer, I'm between sizes 1x-2x. Your help will be greatly appreciated b/c I'm tired of crying after phone calls.

I have never had my nails done, done any sort of manicure, had anything fake put on, nor even stepped foot inside a salon.  However, for my wedding I would like to get some nails because I work at a hospital and always have short nails. 

Can anyone recommend a good nail salon and what I should ask for?

I haven't posted here before, but I was hoping to get advice from others who have had or are planning a wedding at Herrington on the Bay.  My fiance and I are still trying to decide our location.

From what I have read about Herrington, I've been impressed.  I hope to do the site visit within the next couple weeks.  However, because we have family coming from Pennsylvania and California, I was hoping to get insight on the hotel there and beyond.

Specifically, did the Herrington Harbor facility work well with your wedding?  Did they offer discounted rates for the wedding party?  Anything good /bad about the facility?  Are there any cheaper options close by?

From my google map search it doesn't seem like there are any hotels nearby, and the cheaper options in Annapolis are 25 miles away.  On that note, has anyone used the Annapolis trolley on longer distances, and how was the service/value?
