Hi everyone,

After much consideration, I have finally decided to sell my wedding dress. It is a beautiful Augusta Jones dress with a sweetheart neckline, rouched top, and an A-line skirt made out of taffeta. The dress is lined with a corset for a tighter fit, and the back is lined with buttons. It also has a short train that is able to bustle. It has only been worn once for my wedding and afterwards I dry cleaned it and stored it in a garment bag.

Here are the specifics on the dress:

Color: Off white

Size: Label size 6 (street size 2)

Bust: 34

Hips: 38

Waist: 26

Height with shoes: 5'4

The only alterations done were to shorten the length of the dress slightly to fit a height of 5'4 and to add a bustle. I paid $2000 originally and am asking for $800 or best offer. Feel free to email me directly at ksathi06@gmail.com for more info or if you would like me to send you pictures.

I am selling A BRAND NEW, with original tags, never worn, absolutely stunning, unique Modern Trousseau "Hattie" bridal gown. New from the 2013 bridal collection. Label Size 12 (Dress size 8/10). No alterations have been made. Purchased two months ago for retail price of $3,395. Asking only $2,900!!! You save $495 on a brand new dress!!!

As described from the Martha Stewart dress guide: "A soft breeze will appear to surround you in this strapless, fitted gown featuring a unique tulle overlay covered in tiny bows that blow across luxurious Thai silk."

This dress is truly breathtaking, figure flattering and comfortable! I also had the designer add (easily removable) delicate tulle straps to enhance the neckline. I think the straps make the gown even more unique, but they can very easily be removed to retain the original strapless neckline, if desired.

No bad karma here - I absolutely adore this dress, I just never had the opportunity to wear it because we decided to go in a different direction with the wedding.

Trust me, I looked at many, many dresses in my search for the perfect gown - and this one will not disappoint! Look no further, this is THE ONE!

Dress is still safely in original packaging as shipped directly from the designer. Gown is currently being held at independent Bridal Salon from which it was purchased.

http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/dresses/view/80148/Modern-Trousseau-Size-8.html

Has anyone used them before? The only pricing on their website says they start at $450 so they seem very affordable, but I want to know if they are good. We are having a day time wedding (1 - 5pm reception) in a room that lets in lots of natural light so we can't just turn down the lights and pretend we are in a club. So we need a really good DJ to make sure everyone is dancing! I would appreciate any other recommendations for DJs as well, we are trying to keep the cost to under $1000.

I am an out-of-state bride. I will be in town next week and wanted to meet with my DJ again to go over some details. I called the two telephone numbers on his company's website and one has been disconnected... the other says to call back later. The name of the company is Makin' Entertainment and it is based in Lowell, MA. Michael Dinsmore is supposed to be our wedding DJ. We have put down a deposit and I am REALLY nervous that we have been swindled. I can't believe it though, because I attended a wedding for my friend that he DJ'ed! Should I be flipping out? I found him on Facebook and sent a message to him that way so hopefully he gets that. It is three months until our wedding and I don't know if I can find a good DJ in that much time! Does anybody know anything about this company? HELP!!!

I am hitting a wall with searching for venues.
We are looking for a rustic/scenic reception venue in MA (preferably central) that doesn't break the bank but is a bit more than a campsite. I is looking like our guest list will be round 130. I have looked at all ten popular and beautiful places like Zukas and warren conference center but it seems like they are both over our budget. I would like to stay under 9,000 for the reception. The idea of paying somewhere 5,000 just for the space is not sitting well with me but it seems like the only option aside from that is getting married in a backyard or campsite. Is there anywhere in between ?

Thank you!!

Hello everyone! I just recently got engaged and think the wedding will be in MA in the fall of 2014. I have two questions, the first is how do you get started in what you are looking for in a wedding? I'm not sure to even start with the knot. Is it best to browse pictures and just see what I like? And I'd also love to know if people have MA wedding planner recommendations with websites. Thank you so much!

Hey girls! If you have thought about using a calligrapher for your invites but were on the fence - I highly recommend it! It adds such a nice touch and they look gorgeous! I used Sue Rossini from W. Quincy. She was amazing and totally reasonable. She was super helpful and even took my address list and organized it into a huge spreadsheet for me to track all my shower gifts, thanks yous, RSVPs and food choice. She also helped me create a seating board chart so I did not have to purchase and write out every seating card. It was a huge savings for my budget and time!!

If anyone is interested please contact Sue at srossini777@gmail.com.

Good luck planning!
