I am thinking of having one, just curious your thoughts...

Well, I took everyone's advice and went to the Town Shop and bought a dress! After going to 5 different stores in Florida and trying MANY dresses I finally found the one. Giovanna (SP?) was my consultant and she was great! I've been in NY for 10 days and I am close to booking my venue, picking a photographer and florist. I have a DJ and am going to book my friend's band, Dr.Mudd. Has anyone heard of them? This has been a very productive trip.

Im new to the knot.. I heard this is a great resorce for brides...But I have had a few vendors tell me that all it is is other vendors praising them sleves..
I am looking for Everything and don't know where to start. is this a good place to get advice????

I just wanted to Thank You to everyone for the advice and information with regard to venues. We booked FEAST at Round Hill over the weekend!

The 'rents loved the grounds and the tasting, which is what I was hoping.

Booking the venue feels like one GIANT check on the list :)

I went to Angela at Touch of Style and loved her. She is super sweet and she did my hair nice! I will probably go back closer to the day to check another style. Thanks to whoever recommended her..

Wow - no wedding checks in such a long time!

Anyway, we finally got our thank you cards last night and ordered our album. Still have to decide on parent albums and individual pictures. But at least our album is done. AND we got our thank you cards! Hopefully I can have them completed by my goal of Aug 5!

Has anyone else had the problem of not being able to make up their mind about ANYTHING about their wedding? I seriously have 9 months left till my planned wedding and I am second guessing my ceremony/reception hall (The Full Moon Resort) and rethinking the dress I already put a deposit on. I keep going back and forth with looking at another facility with nicer accommodations (the cabins at the full moon resort dont have bathrooms for each room, some people will have to share), and something a little higher scale. I haven't signed a contract yet with the Full Moon and have put a hold on our wedding day for $250. Does anyone have any other ideas for reception places? My budget is $18,000 and if anyone has advice or has/is going through the same thing it would be nice to hear some advice.

Happy Friday!

I have a questions in regard to my reception decor. I have a lot of decor and items that I am DYI'ing. I am really unsure as to what role the coorindator that we are working with has. She mentioned to come in when I want to do invitations,,etc. However, I am doing all that on my own.

My main questions are...when can I actually decorate the room we are using (for a Fri evening)? Do I do it myself or do I drop it off and they do it for us?!

But if you get a card from somebody -

Do you write "thank you for the beautiful card" or just write "thank you for sharing our special day"

I had thought that you mention the card - but my sister says it brings attention to the fact that it was just a card.

(I am stuck on how to write this one!)

My wedding was on Saturday! It was a very sunny, but HOTT day!! I was okay with the warmth as opposed to rain. The day was completely PERFECT!! There was not a thing that went wrong that day, it was soo smooth!

I will write my reviews soon, since I do not leave for our honeymoon for a few weeks!
