So my sister designed and did my programs from her home and just sent the attachment to me which came out fabulous. I just need to know where is a good place in Charlotte to get them printed out in color on program paper at an affordable price? Anyone do this as well?

Raleigh Ceremony Site Recommendations

Hi!

My fiancee and I are looking for a ceremony site near/in Downtown Raleigh for our Oct. 22, 2011 wedding! We have checked with a bunch of well known places and they are all either booked or way too expensive ($1800+!). We are having our reception at Marbles Kids Museum at 6pm, so we only really need a spot to get married in during the late afternoon. We would love to find something a little unconventional, and I was hoping someone may mention a spot I haven't heard of/thought of yet.

Wilmington Area Wedding Coordinators

Happy Easter ladies!

Does anyone have knowledge of wedding coordinators in the Wilmington area? I really want to fit a coordinator into our budget since my FI & I are in Raleigh and super busy. We met with one yesterday and nearly fainted when she showed us her price! I can only afford to spend about $1,500 for a coordinator and am finding it really difficult to get prices from the vendors I've contacted. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice? Thanks!!

At two months out I just wished it would hurry up and get here. At one month out I wish we would have just eloped. Is it just me, or is anyone else finding that their vendors are more reliable than their guests?!

Mother of the Bride Dress

Ladies --

Need some major help finding my mom a mother-of-the-bride dress. She is 60 years old, doesn't want anything too revealing such as halter or strapless, but doesn't want to have an old lady dress/suit. She is a size 8.

We have exhausted the department stores and have tried a few boutiqes in Raleigh -- Kannons and North Hills stores -- but everything she likes there is outrageously expensive ($600+). She also wants a short dress.

My question -- which of the bridal boutiques around the Raleigh area have a good selection of mother dresses? We have found a few mother dresses through bridal lines such as Jasmine, but most bridal stores we have been in carry very few MOB dresses. My mom will not be able to order something she has never tried on if we can't return it, as she is hard to fit in some areas :)

Any suggestions would be great.

Glass Vases For Sale!

Hi everyone! It has been a while since I have posted but I have checked in from time to time...anyways, I will have many tall glass vases we are using as the centerpieces available AFTER JUNE 25th!

Here are a few pictues - all are between 23.5 - 28.5" high and have an approximate diameter of 7 - 9" (I can give you the exact if you ask about a particular one).

They are all for sale for $20 each and will make a deal if you want more than one. Since they are so large, I would prefer not to ship since they shipping would probably cost as much if not more than the actual vase. So I am located in Raleigh but travel for work all over the triangle and surrounding areas so would be happy to accomodate anyone up to an hour away.

I have 3 of the hour glass, 2 of the one with the curved opening, and the tall tapered one, I have 2 but they are different heights.

Less Than A Week 4/30 Ladies!!

I have missed everyone here (though it seems quiet!), but things have been wild around here. And our computer died as well, and was just replaced last week, so that contributes to things!

We only have 6 days left ladies -- anyone else starting to panic (or in dates close to this!)? I am always thinking I have everything fairly done and I realize 4 million more things to do. Just got my programs done and assembled tonight, writing thank you notes from early gifts/showers and have pretty much got my "day of" bag packed. I'm in Raleigh til Thursday morning and then we're off!

I am very excited for the wedding, but am ready for all of the planning/stress to be done with -- and I'd say the FI is ready for me to get back to normal.

I need to post some of my bridal portraits.. we'll see if I get that done in the next 3 days :p

Congrats to all the ladies who have already gotten married this spring -- and best wishes to those coming up oh-so-soon!

(sorry for the rambling... The FI is asleep and won't talk to me!).

Help finding a specific dress

I've picked out a dress online from Eden Bridals that I like a lot. Unfortunately, none of the boutiques I've looked at in the Triangle and Triad areas carry it. Most don't even seem to stock Eden dresses in the first place. Naturally, none of them are willing to order the dress unless I pay for it first, but I don't know if I want to do that until I try it on. Does anyone have recommendations for boutiques aside from the usua lDavid's bridal, Bridal Mart etc. choices that I can try?

The specific dress is style #2396, if that helps anyone.

Venue Help As Well....

I am having a hard time finding a venue that is not an arm and leg for both my ceremony and reception. My date has now changed to October 1, 2011. I have a caterer, an officiate, flowers, cakes but no venue for it all. Is there anywhere in the Durham/ Chapel Hill area where I can have a little over 100 guests, serve my own alcohol and have my own caterer? I know this is last minute but my guest list grew thus forcing me to find another place. I'm hoping I don't have to postpone our wedding!
