My wedding is scheduled for May 2011. I've just moved to Stokes County and I'm about 20-30 min north of Winston Salem. I'm looking for a reception site in the area.

I would love to have a venue with a great view of the mountains and both indoor/outdoor options. Prefer a B&B, vineyard, orchard--no country clubs. Can anyone offer any suggestions or recommendations?

Thanks so much!

So I had to go elsewhere.
English's Bridal in Clemmons.

AWESOME!!! I have a Maggie Sottero gown which has A LOT of detail and tulle. I had to have it taken in 2 inches and a 10 point bustle put on. She did absolutly amazing. and the price was even better.

I suggest that you try them. I could not be any happier with my gown. Im so excited!!!

Well, the families have just left for the hotel. Everything went great. Our wonderful neighbor made the meal. Everyone got along and the kids played nice.

Only snafu of the day was with Massage Envy. Apparently, if you book a massage with the intent to use a Groupon...you can't have an 8am slot. Now, I booked this weeks ago and I got the call this morning. I booked the massage for my Mom and me to be the first thing we do before the madness of wedding setup began. Well, it brought me to tears. Sadly, I didn't win. We have a massage at 11. Not cool we are going early to Snipes to start the setup and then leave everyone to get the massage and then head back to Snipes. I am not impressed.

Anyway...just hoping everything goes smoothly and we don't forget anything in Cary before we head to Chapel Hill!!!

Hi girls!! I hope you all are doing well and had a wonderful weekend. So FI and are are coming up on our 1 year mark next week! Im sooo happy!! This year is going by sooo fast! So we are doing pretty good with planning and have major checks!! So I was trying to figure out how much we would set aside for the honeymoon, but I think its important to think about where we are going first. I have no clue where I wanna go. FI and I have never been on a real vacation before, so I want this to be something special and fun. If you girls don't mind, I would really like some recommendations. Thanks!

I'm not super stressed. Two guests are arriving tonight. This morning I dropped off the OOT bags at the hotels. Family arrives tomorrow....

Biggest issue is with the programs and one of our groomsmen. I just heard yesterday his father is very sick. He has been in Boone, NC with his father since Wednesday. The doctors think it is liver failure. I told his wife to focus on the family and not worry about the wedding. She is going to keep us informed.

So my question - Do I print the programs listing the original groomsmen? Do I wait until the last second to print in case we go with our backup? Again, my stress is small compared to their families.

Hi Everyone! I posted a few times earlier this year bc I was the MOH in my sister's wedding - well now it is my turn!

My name is Rebekah and my Fi is Nathan. I'm 26 and he's 29. I own an interior design and remodeling company that specializes in kitchens and baths and Nathan is an insurance broker. We live in Raleigh and have two yorkies, Tucker and Tink.

We got engaged Thursday night. Nathan sent Tink (who is only 3.5 lbs) into the room and she jumped in my lap and I noticed she had a collar on (she normally does not wear one) and I look at it closer to see the words "Marry Me?" in rhinestone letters. Nathan walks around the corner all dressed up, took the ring off the collar, and got down on one knee. It was PERFECT!!

I look forward to getting to know all of you and sharing ideas and such! We are thinking about getting married next June, here in Raleigh.

Hi Ladies! I used to post on here all the time (as jessica82799), but haven't been around much since my wedding last year. Congratulations to all the new engaged ladies and happy planning! I was hoping yall might be able to help me out: I'm trying to remember all the places you can get discount bridesmaids dresses. A friend of mine is trying to cut costs and for the life of me I cannot remember a single place besides Pearl's Place. Isn't there a similar type store that sells dresses for less in Charlotte? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I hope everyone's planning is going great! A big wave to all my fellow 2009 knotties who are still hanging around! I hope you guys are loving married life. I can't believe how time flies!! =)
