I have been researching locations for the ceremony and reception and havent found anything that Im super excited about. We are having about 140 people about 1/3 are out of towners. I want a very nice wedding but as cheap as possible. I would rather my funds go to my new home and honeymoon. If anyone has any thoughts and estimated cost of locations that would be GREAT! Thanks!

We are looking at Sept. 10th, 2011 or October 1st 2011. I am living in Wilmington right now, he lives in the Morehead city area. Looking to have our wedding in Wilmington, but need to find some good sites. Ideally an indoor/outdoor setting would be wonderful, any ideas (on anything really since I have just started all of this! :) ? Any thoughts are appreciated!

I am from Northern KY but will be spending the month of July at my parents' newly built house in Southport, NC. My mom and I have planned to visit one of their local bridal boutiques in order to start the wedding dress shopping process. I definitely don't plan on buying my dress when I'm down there but I'm hoping this trip will help give me a better idea of the style of dress I want!

I am planning on going to Fountaine Bridals in Wilmington. Has anyone been there or know someone who has? They carry the designer of the dress that I have been eyeing (Allure Bridals) so I am hoping that it's a great experience!

Thanks for any reviews of the place :)

Ok, so sometimes I think, I have 11 months till my wedding I have plenty of time. Then other days it's like, holly cow... it's only 11 months till my wedding.

So I thought yesterday I would go ahead and give Olga a call. I already had it set that it didn't matter how far I had to drive, I wanted her to alter my dress. (she is the best after all) I told her my wedding date was May 21st, 2011 and I hope I wasn't calling to soon. she said and I quote "mercy no... i am already booking for next year, and this year is pretty much booked" Her first week-end date to see me and get a first look at the dress is October 16th. (not to scare anyone if your wedding is this year and you want to use Olga but have not booked her yet. She is so sweet and would work around the clock to schedule a bride) Just wanted to pass a little note that she is busy and stays booked.

I am sooo excited that Olga will be working on my dress, and I just want to say to all brides, it's NEVER to early. there is a reason certain people/suppliers are book far in advance. so if you know what you want, I say book-it-Dan-O!! No need to wait because time will fly!

sorry for the long post!

One of my friends is throwing me a shower in September and wants to have a Garden theme since we have just started gardening. We have a lot of cheap garden tools and could always use more (tools, planters, etc.) and I love this idea. She suggested registering for some more garden stuff so people have some optionsif they don't want to bring stuff on their own (seeds, planters...) I have a few things on our BBB & Target registries that are wedding related, but I can' think of a store that has more gardening stuff to register at.

I initially thought Home Depot or Lowes but after looking online for a bit it seems they have stopped doing wedding registries (let me know if you know otherwise!) Does anyone have any suggestions for places that carry garden tools that you can register at?
