HELP!! Need a ceremony venue for Sept wedding

Hello Everyone!!

My fiance and I just booked our reception site and need to find a ceremony location. We would prefer an outdoor wedding because our wedding is in September but are pretty open to anywhere. We would like to stay under $1000 and have 150 people attending. Please help us!! Lol

We are getting married at an amphitheater and I'm thinking it might be nice to have some sort of altar. Does anyone know where you could rent one by chance? FI would probably make one, but that's a lot of work and I'm not sure how we would get it there.

So, we finally decided we are going to have our wedding in 5/11 in Florida, and have a party/reception back here, probably in June. It will be small, less than 50 people I'm guessing, and nothing fancy. I was wondering if anyone out there in Knottie Land has any experience with the Blacklick Woods Golf Course? Either directly or indirectly? Any input would be much appreciated! Or if anyone has any other ideas for a place for a small, informal reception....Thanks!

We're having a vintage style wedding. I'd like to use peonies/gardenias/calla lillies/anything of that sort. I really don't want a lot of flowers (it's not something I can honestly see spending more than $300 on, at MAX) -- probably just my bouquet and my bridesmaids. I don't particularly want to DIY my flowers. It is possible to get them in my price range? Do you guys have any suggestions for cheap florists in the area that are reliable and easy to work with?

EDIT: I obviously need a place without a minimum spending requirement :)

I'm not sure if it makes a difference for flowers, but my wedding is on a Friday.

Anyone know where I can affordably find these locally? I was all ready to get them from the saveoncrafts.com site that is listed on the DIY boards, but the shipping from California for one branch and some crystal garland is almost $20 dollars, which is more than the merchadise costs itself! I'm trying to recreate the centerpiece below. If anyone has any ideas on where I can find these branches I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!!!

Opinions about video

We are struggling to decide between 2 photographers, one is Rose DeVore who did my friend's wedding and she had amazing photographs and she is reasonably priced and very personable. The other is picture perfect portraits and they offer a package that includes 2 photographers and 2 videographers for around 300 dollars more than the other photographer.

We are struggling to decide if we will actually need video and view it or if pictures is just ok. Please let me know your opinions becuase honestly we have no idea what we are going to do.

Rehearsal Dinner Help

My FI and I are trying to plan the rehearsal dinner. We have hit a few bumps in the road with his parents suddenly deciding that they didn't really have the money to help with our wedding any more we are trying to regroup. We have an extremely large wedding party and our rehearsal dinner would be about 60 people. His parents aren't willing to help research places so now the rehearsal dinner is really falling on us. We are looking for something very inexpensive but something fun and nice. Any suggestions and help would be so greatly appreciated.

1. I am mailing my invitations this weekend! I'm so excited to get them out! 2. My aunt is throwing a bridal shower for me next weekend and I don't know what to wear. I've actually only been to one, and the bride wore a skirt. Is this common? Or should I do a nice top and pants? 3. I'm still trying to recover from the OSU game last night. Delayed honeymoon?

Fi and I have been going over our finances and we hit a bit of a freak out point the other day in regards to available funds (or lack thereof) for a honeymoon. We were contemplating doing a registry in order to go, but Fi says unless the ENTIRE HM is taken care of with the registry, we can't go. I feel like I totally missed the boat on that one and it was kind of a shock to me that he said that. So we started discussing options and the possibility of delaying our HM.

Did anyone delay their honeymoon by a few months? A year?

We just have some major life changing stuff coming up right after the wedding (moving to SC and me starting grad school) and I don't know if our honeymoon would be worth it dab smack after the wedding and right before we move. There would essentially be a 2-3 week time frame after we return from the honeymoon before we move south.

Am I loosing it, being a baby about the whole thing, or justified with finances and timing?

I could reaaaally use some outside opinions/comments/ideas.... thanks ladies!

Live Band recs? Next Exit?

Hi Knotties! I've seen many posts on DJ recommendations, but not too many live bands. I am really interested in having a live band -- definitely one that plays cover and does a little of everything, especially oldies. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, has anyone ever used Next Exit - they are a live band that seems to play this type of music at weddings, but they also perform live around Columbus. Any and all recommendations would be amazing!

We have one of our final tastings today! We are meeting with our coordinator at 11:30 at our Venue (Pinnacle) to go over details and all that good crap! Im so effing excited to eat a great lunch and figure out what we are getting. I think we might also be going over the more detailed details like cocktail hour (specialty cocktails?), kegs versus bottles, salad options, vendor times, etc etc.

Alterations - Vendor Rave!

Hi girls! Just wanted to mention that I recently used Linda Hine for alterations to my wedding dress, and was SO pleased with her work. I went in yesterday for my final fitting and the dress was absolutely perfect. Linda took in the back and sides, hemmed the bottom, added sew-in bust pads and even created a sweep train and bustle (the dress originally had no train). I was totally impressed and love the dress so much more now.

I would recommend her without hesitation!

I need to rent chairs for my outdoor wedding ceremony and I'm not trying to pay an arm and a leg when doing so. I've been doing some research but everywhere seems pretty expensive! Has anyone found any good deals to rent chairs? I'm going to need betwee 175-200 chairs, maybe less.

Wedding Dress Shopping! Referrals?

So, I know there are several dress shops in town. I'm looking for more of a boutique experience...so I'm probably not interested in David's or Wendy's. Haven't been anywhere else and don't know where to go. I've seen ads for Elegant Bride, Big Rock, Girls in White Dresses and a few others.

Any recommendations? My budget is $3,000. I want a great "experience"..as well as a gorgeous dress! I LOVE Claire Pettibone designs...but no one in Columbus carries her :-(

Wedding Rings

FI and I are finally getting around to looking at rings. Neither one of us is really in to jewelry, so we really have no idea where to go look Saturday. One of his boss' brothers made my e-ring, but he is pretty far away. Does anyone have any good suggestions as far as where to go? I'm looking for something with small diamonds to line up with my e-ring (since I can't wear it to work, I'd like a nicer band). He just wants a basic gold band.
