Nazareth Hall - hotels and transportation

I haven't seen any recent forums on this subject so wanted to ask...
For those of you who have or are getting married at Nazareth Hall...

1) What hotel did you use for your guests?
2) Did that hotel provide transportation?
3) Did you provide any transportation for your guests before and after the wedding?
4) What did you do for the rehearsal dinner? At Nazareth Hall or at a nearby restaurant?

I'm just worried about it since it is kind of in the middle of nowhere. Any tips of hints on the venue would be appreciated as well (best food, food to avoid, etc.)

We are getting married in the winter so we will be in the chapel and LadyGlen ballroom - around 250 guests.

Hey everyone! I'm coming up to my 1 year mark until my wedding! yay! I am looking for different. untraditional, unique wedding favors for my guests. I would love to do two so that everyone of all ages is included. My wedding and reception is in Midwest Ohio in the Lima region (if that helps). We discussed doing a cigar bar but have no idea of where to start! Our venue allows it as they have a huge patio to accommodate. Also, we aren't sure if we want to dish out for a typical photo booth or to do the standard (in our area) koozies that everyone in our county and surrounding counties do at their wedding. We need help and would love your opinions! Also, any DIY tips for decorations for bohemian style wedding, let us know! Thanks in advance!

I bought these signs for my wedding last month and never used them. I forgot to bring them to the venue. I think I paid around $85 for both. They both work, run on batteries and I have extra bulbs. The LOVE sign is 7.5" tall and 24" wide. The BAR letters are each about 9" tall and 9" wide. $20 for both.

I am looking for an affordable photographer in the Toledo area. I did have someone but unfortunately they no longer can fulfill this, and my wedding is in less than a year so I feel like I'm behind now!

Probably looking for someone who does photography on the side or is a student, since their prices seem to be more reasonable than professionals or photographers with companies. Just want someone who takes good quality pictures! Would like someone who gives copyrights for pictures to have them printed yourself, and would love if I could find someone who does not have time limits as I am not sure of the exact schedule of the wedding yet!

I went to see the venue the other day and it is beautiful, however, I can't imagine how to set up the chairs.
I've emailed them a few times asking but I haven't had a single reply.

Bachelorette Parties

It's been awhile since I've been on this board!! I'm even surprised that I could remember my password!

I'm in a wedding this June and we are starting to plan the bachelorette party.

The bride's daughter is the MOH and is almost 19 years old, and the 2 bridesmaids and guests are in our mid-late 30s (some older, younger, and in between).

Thinking a possibility of 12-15 people. The bride's 19 year old wants to go to PIB but, we are not sure about that. Want a good turnout and it may be difficult to do an all day event since most of us are moms.

We are thinking about staying local. I may suggest a night in Levis Commons... That's what I did for my bachelorette party. There are so many options in that complex...

What are you planning for your party?? Has anyone done one of those wine and paint activities?

Church in the Surrounding Toledo Area

My FI has expressed that he doesn't want to get married in the actual Toledo zip code; we're thinking the surrounding areas like Sylvania, Maumee, Perrysburg, etc. We also have conflicting desires when it come to the type of space, so I'd be nice to see either type or something that meets in the middle. I want something bright and open with high ceilings - more of a modern ballroom type of venue. He wants an old stained glass church. I'm open to a church or not-church, but he'd really prefer a church. I know they're pretty different, but I'm hoping we find something we can agree on

The wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors, September 2015 with about 100-150 guests. Budget is still unknown so throw me anything!

Wedding Ceremony Site

I'm looking for ceremony location suggestions around the Toledo area. Ideally, we would like to get married in a church, however the church we belong to doesn't allow couples that are living together to get married there. Does anyone know of any churches that allow ceremonies to non-members? We do have our own minister, just nowhere to actually host the ceremony. Also, if anyone knows of any indoor ceremony sites, those would be helpful too. We are getting married in May, so obviously weather is unpredictable and would rather not have to deal with the stress of a rain plan.

Hi! I am trying to plan a wedding on Kelleys Island for September 2015. Very small and informal, only around 30 people total. I would like to rent the group camp possibly, or a section of campsites and have our whole party there for the entire weekend. I'm having a really hard time finding ANY vendors. I've contacted the Brewery, the Pump, and the winery. Does anyone know of any officiants that will do a non church ceremony or of any good places for an outdoor ceremony? Thanks in advance!!

Anyone have any tips or suggestions for a Put-in-Bay wedding? Or, Is anyone out there also trying to plan a late summer/fall Put-in-Bay wedding or have been to one in the past? I haven't met anyone that has attended (or been in) an island wedding and wish there was a PIB wedding blog site! I'm not sure what to expect and having a hard time narrowing down (and obviously can't site visit yet!)

We're hoping to pull off an outdoor ceremony (near water) and (hopefully) outdoor reception that isn't too crazy expensive for us and for our guests staying overnight

Hello Ladies!! Does anyone know where I can get my wedding dress steamed in the area? It will need to be done in a short period of time as I live in Texas and won't fly in to the area until 4 days before my wedding. I don't trust shipping my dress, so I'll be carrying it on the plane with me. Also... I'm in need a of hair stylist.
