J & B Bridal or other Dress Shopping Suggestions?

Hi Ladies,
A friend of mine is getting married in May and bought her dress and the BM dresses from J & B Bridal. She loves them and highly recommended them. They were so nice and helpful when I called to set up an appointment. The problem is they're in Chambersburg...almost 2 hours from my house. Has anyone else been there? Is it worth it?

Can anyone suggestion other dress/bridal shops? I'm in Red Lion. I've been to Davids Bridal and Alfred Angelo. I've heard mixed things about Lilla's and Rennaissance Bridal in York.

I have 20 glass vases for sale. They will be available after 9/25/10. I looked at buying vases online but the shipping was so expensive that I ended up buying these at Ikea in Conshocken.

I haven't been on theknot in a long time since I got married in 2006 but I am helping my little sister plan her wedding. She just booked the country barn in lancaster. The knot was so helpful to me so I was wondeirng if anyone has been to a wedding or is having their wedding there.

Hi everyone! My fiance and I are trying to nail down our reception site (and caterer if need be). We just visited Front Street Station in Northumberland and both liked it a lot. The price seems to be right as well. I also know someone who used it for a sorority formal and had a good experience.

I guess I'm just nervous about making the leap and booking it. :-)

Has anyone here used them (or been to a wedding there)? Any feedback? Thanks all!

Does anyone know who can do a small amount of pipe & drape for cheap? We just want to cover these huge glass doors (about 10 of them) so we can have a candlelight ceremony. I don't want to pay too much!

Since they're not listed on WW, just a tasty tidbit if you're looking into this location. Be aware of the vendors working your event. We had attended an event here last night to which the mother of the son who owns the location was heavily meddling and upsetting the bridal party. She also hopped in her mercedes after the ceremony and almost ran over four of the guests making their way to the reception location. She snapped and bickered with other vendors and interrupted others from trying to do their job. Also avoid the "staff" DJ. He played incorrect songs and couldn't get the sound system working properly during the ceremony or reception. Lastly, thought it was a bit unprofessional for how the staff at the reception was dressed with shirts half untucked. Also the owner had brought out his inappropriately dressed kitchen staff to eat at the couple's buffett at one of the couple's set up tables. They sat there with the party they were catering for over an hour. Unsightly and unprofessional.

Does anyone have any experience working with Klose Photography? From her website my fiance and I really like her work -- I'm just seeing some mixed reviews on her. Some people mentioned it being really difficult to get in touch with her once the event has taken place, her making deals and then not keeping them, etc. Any personal opinions would really be appreciated.

beautiful white manzanita crystal trees for sale. they are already set in plaster in tall white glass vases. the flowers you see on them are real touch orchids and can be removed (they are wired on with white floral wire). the branches can also easily be spray painted a different colour if white doesn't work for your theme.
each manzanita tree comes with 5 long strands of swarovski crystals, each with a large teardrop shaped crystal at the end of the strand. we have 4 to sell (we did a combination of high/low arrangements on our tables). would be perfect as centerpieces or could also be used for a wishing tree, or to decorate a church or guestbook table.

We're having a very simple ceremony and reception, and I'd like to find a guitar soloist or duo to provide the music. I don't think I want a violinist, although I've found webistes for several of those.

Any suggestions for who could perform at a wedding in the Carlisle area? If not, I will start calling the music programs at local colleges.

We are thinking of getting room blocks at 2 hotels, one nicer hotel and one budget hotel so people have the option. We are getting married at Harmony Hall in Middletown (so, Harrisburg hotels). Does the 2 hotels idea seem reasonable? Anyone have experience with local hotels in this area?? I used to work at a hotel yet still have no idea how this works or what I'm getting myself into!

I was wondering if any of you know what the Hauser Estate Winery in Gettysburg is like as a reception/ceremony venue. I know that it can accommodate up to 100 guests (so it would be a small wedding) but wasn't sure how crowded it would be inside and what it would be like with a tent off the back (this is pictured on their website). So, if any of you know anyone who has held a ceremony or reception there and want to pass me any helpful information, that'd be great :)

The worse part is no one seems to be able to help us out on it either :P so I call upon you Knotties for your help and expertise lol .. Hey knotties! I'm going to tour Colonial Golf & Tennis in Hbg and Spring Garden Conference & Reception in Middletown in August for potential vendors for our reception. I was just wondering if anyone had any feedback about how easy these vendors are to work with and/or any overall impressions from anyone who has had their wedding there or been to a reception there? Both have their own catering, too, which I like b/c I'll be planning this wedding from Virginia.

I'm really really excited to see these final two places and hope to lock down my reception venue by the end of the summer!!! So, ANYTHING that you know of these two places would be immensely helpful!
