Thoughts on KM Photography & Dress Shopping

Hey ladies! I haven't been too active on here since it seemed like our wedding was forever away for the longest time, but now that we are really starting to plan I need some advice. Has anyone used KM Photography? We were originaly going to go with Tony Hoffer and figured that 15 months in advance was enough to book a photographer, but apparently it's not! So we are on the hunt again and found KM Photography on our venue's website as a preffered vendor but it doesn't seem like too many Knotties use them and I wasn't sure if there was a particular reason why.

On another note I start dress shopping next week and have a few appointments but I have a silly question... did anyone bring the approrpriate undergarments with them or do they have them there for you to try on with the dresses?

Any thoughts/comments/advice is greatly appreciated!

hunting for shepherds hooks?

I just wanted to share with anyone that was hunting for shepherd's hooks. I was at JoAnn Arts and Crafts in Lemoyne last Friday and they had the smaller shepherds hooks (plus a bunch of bigger ones that I didn't actually look at) on clearance in the front of the store by the window, near the registers, for 70% off. I scored 12 little, maybe 3' high double shepherds hooks for $1.49 a piece (regularly $5.99) I'm not sure if they still have them, but it's definitely worth heading to your local JoAnn to check it out and see!

I know they have boards about getting in shape--but it isn't local. I belong to LA Fitness in York and workout a few times a week. I was hoping to meet someone who also works out there or would be interested in meeting at a local park or something to walk/or run sometimes too? I just want some motivation and it'd be fun to do it with someone else who wants to get toned up for their wedding! Let me know if you are interested!

Premarital Counseling

My fiance and I may work with an officiant he knows who is a retired minister. We just found out that this person requires couples to go through premarital counseling. He could do it, but we're not sure our schedules will work together. Also, we are not church members, so we can't take advantage of premarital counseling offered through that route.

Does anyone have suggestions for premarital counselors from Camp Hill to Gettysburg and anywhere in between?

So despite the fact that I've been engaged for over a year and a half, the time is just CREEPING up on me!! I feel like there are so many little things that failed to come to mind until now.. My to-do list seems to be growing insteaf of shrinking.. AHH! :)
Also, Whats with EVERY person I know asking me "do you have everything ready to go?"

I thought I had a photographer locked in for my June 18, 2011 wedding, but there was a mix-up in her paperwork and she was double-booked, and I am now searching again!

I am looking for someone that does fun, modern photos without a ton of editing in the $1500 price range.

I need serious knottie help!

I made plans with a hair salon the week I got engaged and they "penciled" me and my girls in. Well I call today to get the appointment times, and they are inflexible and won't work with our timeline. Needless to say I am Pissed. So I need some help finding a new stylist, 2 months out from my wedding :( I have 5 BMs who need to have their hair done that morning (I'll still be going to the other place because I like my stylist). I currently live Jacksonville Florida and I was looking at photographers in our area. After seeing the prices and their work I was looking for someone " fresh" with a different view on our area. To make along story short I have some family in the central PA area they recommended Eby Photography. My family had met him at another wedding and said how delightful he was to talk to at the reception. After hearing this I want to make sure he was legit so I gave him a call , after finding his info on "The Knot". After a very long conversation about my wedding day I decided to come up to PA and meet him in person(3months later). I was so impressed that I booked him !!! I flew him and his wife down to FL for a long weekend. The best is yet to come !! He called me Thursday morning the next day and asked if I had any engagement pics?? I said "No" he offered an engagement shoot at the beach where I got engaged (no charge) I was thrilled and my husband actually liked the pictures !!! He showed up to the rehearsal Friday night an d took some candids of the everyone, they were awesome!!! Wedding day went smooth we had such a good time and the pics were awesome !! The only thing that was bad was the weather HOT HOT for a May 1st wedding in FL. Thank you Eby Photography for making my wedding wonderful !!!

When you are drinking beer, what kind do you drink? We are proving our own alcohol, just beer and wine, and are trying to narrow down the type of beer to provide. Neither of us like "light" beers.. so we're not planning on having those.

I am getting married in the Hershey/Harrisburg area and am looking for suggestions regarding hiring a DJ... It's difficult to tell who is good and who isn't and since the DJ can make or break a reception, I want to be certain that I find someone who can read and work the room.
