FI's ring arrived from tungstenaffinity.com - freaking fast!  I ordered on Friday, got it the next day!  :)  FI' happy with it so so am I. 

Tested the favors over the weekend to see if they would work and it does!  Gotta order the muslin bags for the tea and will see if nearby BM can come by to help putting them together. 

Received our marriage license in the mail from Snohomish County - I think it only took them a week to get it out although they do say to allow 30 days.

I SUPER recommend Pete's Wine.  It's the only place I've seen where mentioning the word "wedding" gets you a bigger discount (instead of a drastic mark-up!).  I think they only charge cost + 10%.  Nice!

Since not many of our family and friends are from here, my idea was to take engagement pictures at cool spots around Seattle and use them as "table numbers" (table 1 - space needle),etc.

First up - tissue poms.  FI looked into our different options for canopy and we ended up changing from the epic style to the standard frame which looks like


I still plan to do the alternating lanterns and tissue poms, but none of the reds in tissue look right.  So, question is do I do all the tissue poms in white or should I do lavender/lilac which is an accent color?  Lanters are the white Ikea ones



Second question: CPs, I know will be the floating bowls with river rocks and 3 floating candles and 3 floating orchids in it.  I know I will have monstera leaves under the bowls.  Question is do I do 2 or 3 leaves?

Has anyone else been wanting to turn away from wedding and start nesting? We have decorated our house but its never been perfect you know. Like always half done. So since I have been getting all these great things for the house from our registries I have been wanting to decorate. I redid my entire kitchen last week when I should have been wedding DIYing. And today I bought a decor piece on sale at joanns for $20 when I went for 3 more Styrofoam balls.

I wrote a poem to go with the STD magnet -  I hope you'll be able to read it when you click on it. I decided to hand write it because FI thought it would look more personal and convinced me that I had fabulous handwriting (not sure about that, but it was sweet of him to say so). Oh, and I sprayed gold glitter onto the black paper that doesn't really show up in this picture.  I'm so happy that they are finished! What a big accomplishment!

1. I was super stressed because I had failed to put everything together in time for the wedding so there were no centerpieces.

2. I had forgotten the table runners I bought so the venue put down some wicker-braided tablecloths instead.

3. I didn't get a nice guestbook so there was a random one there that was from like, the dollar store. The pen holder had a giant rubber band on it so you could wrap it around and secure it to the table.

4. My bridemaids were wearing traditional African clothing. (I chalk this up to last episode of My Fair Wedding that I watched). But then all my guests were wearing the clothing from whatever culture they are from.

5. FI was cryin' like a baby! And it was super crowed!

Wedding bands - check!  We ended up getting our bands at the same local shop where FI bought my e-ring.  They were the most helpful, informative, and the salesperson already had a rapport with FI.  She even knew that we wanted a band for me that I could wear camping.  :)  This is what we got -
