Hey ladies, I have extra candy buffet items I don't need for my wedding.

The only things not included in the sale are the two cookie jar looking jars and the basket. I don't have the sign either. Everything else shown: jars, scoops, bags, tulle, etc are being sold as a set. I'd like to get around $100.00 for it all.

I am getting married on New Years Eve on a carriage ride downtown Milwaukee. This is a second time for both of us and we didn't want a wedding. I'm 25 and I'm debating if I should wear a wedding dress. A part of me wants to and the other part thinks I shouldn't. If I don't, I was thinking just a ivory sweater dress, leggings, and boots. We are only have 4 friends with us...no reception. Thoughts?

Bridesmaid Shoes

I need some help when it comes to finding shoes for my bridemaids. I want them all to wear the same shoes and I would like them in dressy flat sandals. I found a picture online that I really like the sandal but I cannot find the sandal for sale, go figure, see picture below. Anyways, the girls are wearing purple (lapis from David's Bridal) and I want the shoes to be silver with rhinestones or both rhinestones and pearls. Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated :)

I need help :) I want to throw together a hotel goody bag for my out of town guests. I would love to include little things that have to do with Wisconsin, and cheese of course comes to mind!

So my question to the Wisconsin local board is if anyone knows where you can buy cheese in bulk, preferably individually wrapped and reasonable? And of course, Wisconsin cheese would be preferred! I'm thinking a small little chunk of cheese, vacuum sealed.

The Radisson in Menomonee Falls is available Saturday June 8, 2013! Its a beautiful and modern hotel! We originally booked June 8, 2013, however, when the hotel was going through some financial issues, we booked another venue for the same date and since we can't have 2 reception venues... the Radisson is available! I've got pictures and plenty of ideas from when I was planning our wedding there!

Wisconsin Resort Wedding - Help!

HI All!! I am new to everything. I am new to TK, and new to this whole planning process. I need some help finding a cool resort to have our wedding. We live in Chicago and would love to do a destinations wedding, but since our families are too large that is not a real option. We would like to do a resort that is some place between Green Bay and Chicago that has "resort" feel. Also, we want to have the ceremony in a catholic church near the resort.... Does anyone have ideas of cool places that I am missing? We would probably invite about 200 people (I am sure a lote less will show). Ideas....?

I'm thinking of getting airbrush makeup for the wedding but I'd like to try it out before that I think. Has anyone tried anywhere local (MKE)? Do you know if it is ok to just have a "trial" appointment and not an actual appointment? (I'm getting married in CA so I wouldn't be using anyone local to MKE and wouldn't really be able to go do a trial out there)

I have just started the wedding planning process. We are on a budget, and are trying to find a venue in Wisconsin that allows for both ceromony and reception at the same place.

I am interested in:

1) Rustic barn like cermony and reception

BUT will expand my interests for the right price

They did not return calls all week. Drove by and met someone coming out, stated they are closed as of Tuesday. Anyone hear of this?? Glad they stalled as wanted to put down deposit on date in 2014.

Hi all! So I'm having a hugeeee problem finding a church for my wedding ceremony. I have already booked the reception hall (Davians in Menomonee Falls) but I can't seem to find a church to fit my needs. I have a church home but it's honestly to large and doesn't give the type of feel I want. I am christian (but not Catholic, which pretty much exes out most Catholic churches that require you to be Catholic to marry there) I would love a beautiful church that can hold at least 250-300 people. I'm scared to have an outside wedding because of unpredictable weather. Please help anyone!!

Tomah Area Venues

Hello! My FH and I are getting married in Nov 2014, so I know I have time but after the holidays I want to start looking at venues and setting budgets and just start tentative guest lists(already reaching the 300+ range with his family/friends). I am having a hard time figuring out where to hold our wedding. We have two options and my FH isn't really helpful because he doesn't really care(I think if it was up to him, we would rent tents/chairs/tables and have the wedding in his grandpa's backyard and have over 1000 people there!) where it is held. We live in the Milwaukee metro and there are beautiful venues all over down here and we won't have to have hotel wedding(which I hate) but he is from the Tomah area and all they really have are a couple hotels and the American Legion/VFW. The American Legion/VFW are both rather small so we'd have to cut our guest list. My hometown is a combo of 2 which I have no ties to either place(one I lived in as a child and one when I was in middle/high school age) and my parents live in the south now. I wouldn't mind having the wedding in the Tomah area since my FH and I both have strong ties there, I just don't know of many venues outside of the few hotels and the American Legion/VFW. With that being said, I also don't know if either the Catholic church or the Lutheran church(s) in the area will allow us to "rent" the church and not use the clergy from there, as we will be bringing in our own officiant. I would like to find a place that has the capabilities to hold a ceremony, cocktail hour and reception without having the guests having to see the place turned from ceremony into reception if they have to be held in the same place(so a 2nd room for cocktail hour where the other room is locked while being changed). Any suggestions for places would be awesome.

My reasoning for disliking hotel weddings is that is hard to prevent unwanted guests(wedding crashers) or being disrupted by other events/people in the building. I have been to many weddings in hotels and there have been people who came in to get the free booze because another wedding in the other ballroom had cash bar vs open bar, the music from the other wedding was loud and disruptive during the dinner/speeches and hotel guests just walked in to one and started eating dinner with the guests(it was a buffet dinner). We will probably be inviting over 300 people and I really don't want to be feeding or serving drinks to another 50 random people who are attending a different wedding or are staying at the hotel that I'm holding the wedding at. I know that wedding crashers can happen anywhere but at places that are closed to the public during private events, I feel that they have less of a chance of happening.

We first met Dennis at the Wonderful World of Weddings show this past January. We still hadn’t booked a photographer and after browsing numerous amounts of photographer booths (most of which started to blend together), only one stood out and that was Dennis Felber. After looking at the photographs he had displayed and briefly speaking with him, we knew he was the right match for us!

Dennis’s work speaks for itself. He has a very unique eye that captures beautiful moments that you don’t even realize are happening! He thinks outside the box and is willing to do anything to get a great shot (climb up a tree, lay down on the pavement, etc)! He made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera (which takes a little getting used to!) and gave great direction. He listened to our suggestions, yet surprised us with his own amazing ideas. He was very quick to respond to my emails, and we were able to view our photos within a week or 2 of him taking them! He also got us discs of all our files from the engagement session and the 500+ wedding photos within a day or so of me asking! We are both to thrilled with our wedding photographs. Photography was one of the most important details of the wedding to me, and he did not disappoint! Every penny was well spent on Dennis and his amazing talent. We can’t wait to see how our wedding album turns out!
