Violinist/Cellist - Lake Geneva Ceremony Music

We are getting married on Lake Geneva Cruise Line. Sure, to save money we can plug in an iPod for our ceremony music, however my dream (if affordable enough) is to have a violin and/or cello playing. I am at a loss! The String companies found at bridal shows or on the knot are just too expensive for us. The ones that do fit into our budget aren't available (we're getting married the Friday of Memorial Day weekend).

Can anyone recommend a musican(s) that play the violin?

I just came across a great website while looking for transportation for our quickly approaching wedding day. You can literally type in what your searching and your area and a list comes up. Its nice because it automatically lists them in best to worse order and most of them include rates and answered a lot of my questions up front without me having to pick up the phone. mini-moon cabin help

My FI and I are taking a mini-moon after our June wedding as the honeymoon will be in September.

We are interested in renting a cabin for a few nights that's secluded, but also is close to a town or something. We'd like to canoe to bars, and grill on the deck, go for a hike, maybe hang out in town a bit.

Any recommendations? I heard Bayfield is nice...any particular resorts? Other areas?

I'm looking for some place that would alter a veil at a reasonable price. I want to wear my mom's for something old but it's three tiered and only really want one. The wedding is in Sheboygan, I live/work in Milwaukee, and my FI is originally from Green Day so my options in terms of locations is pretty wide. I'm just looking for some recommendations.

1st Wedding Stressor!

Getting married in 3 months and just got a call today that the flower girl dresses I had picked and ordered a month ago are no longer being made thanks to China. Kinda having a panic attack because these dresses should have been in within the next 2 weeks and now I've got to go back to the basics of picking another dress I think, and most likely both girls will love and hoping they come in with enough time to do alterations. I'm more annoyed with the fact that the moms paid in full for these dresses and I'm having a bit if difficulty finding other dresses near or around the same cost.

On the bright side, I do have their measurements on hand at the bridal store so the girls and their mom's don't have to make another trip, seeing as they all live at least an hour away. So streesful!

Wedding Cakes near the Dells?

I am having a really tough time finding wedding cakes near the wisconsin dells, which is where we are getting married. I live basically on the WI/MN boarder so I am about 3 hours away from the dells. We are having a small wedding so we don't need a huge cake but this is one of the last things I am stuck on. FI and I were thinking of having a small cake that we can cut into and having a cupcake tier for the guests.

Any suggestions?

I am getting married in two months and we are trying to decide on a rehersal dinner location. We have about 40-50 people so we wanted to have it at a place that is not so expensive and really laid back. We were thinking Carvettis for the outside patio. I have heard good things about them, but have also heard some bad things. Anyone have any thoughts on them or other suggestions!!!?

Does anyone have suggestions on where to find affordable flower girl dresses in Milwaukee? I’m not looking for anything crazy..simple off-white/ivory dress..I like the taffeta skirts..maybe a sash around the middle? I have found some online, but would prefer to see it in person. So originally I posted on here to get opinions about Impressions by Esther (below)..and the feedback was very helpful. I knew she eventually would call me back and she did. I had an initial meeting with her on Jan. 17^th and despite everyone’s warning that you need to make an appointment once you are with her, I did not because I wasn’t sure if I was going to use her. A couple weeks later, I decided that I would use her and left her a message to tell her that and asked her to call me back to confirm. My wedding is Oct 1, so we will have about 6.5 months but she has yet to call me back to confirm that she has me in her schedule. I have left about 5 messages since then because I am starting to get nervous that she has booked someone else and I won’t know and by the time, she calls me back, I won’t be able to find a florist. I think I might be worrying a bit too much, but anyone have any words of advice?!

Ben and I went on our first date on April 2nd, 2005. Got engaged April 2nd, 2010. Now, after putting off wedding planning altogether for the last year, we decided yesterday to invite our family for an impromptu wedding on... April 2nd! All of the plans we had are out the window, and I'm looking for suggestions on where to hold the ceremony and reception in Milwaukee (perhaps just a restaurant with private or semi-private dining options). Had had had to post since I was looking forward to my engagement pictures more then my wedding pictures. Who says Wisconsin snow could look so pretty especially in a gravel pit!

Tent Lighting?

I was hoping someone might know of a company that could provide lighting in a tent. Our rental company only offers these HUGE white bulbs... definitely not the look I was hoping for. So I need to find another company that would be able to provide strings of lights (sort of like christmas lights) and could install for me...

Any ideas?
