I want to get those little fans and some parasols for our beach wedding. We are getting married in August on the beach and there will be about 20 people. I was thinking the parasols would be good for making shade and the fans for keeping cool.

I have gotten everyones thank you gifts who are in my bridal party except the kids. I am at a total loss as to what i should get them. I already have gotten my flower girls and ring barers, but I have One usher who is 12, two girls who are going to do the programs and guest book (8 & 12) and A little boy who is passing out the bubbles and such (6) any ideas?

Wedding Fans-how many?

I would like to supply fans for my guests because our ceremony will be outside in July! We are thinking approximately 150-175 people will be at the reception but not sure how many will actually come to the ceremony. The ceremony and reception are at the same location. I assume only the women will want to use a fan. How many should I order?

Our wedding is VERY Southern! Fried macaroni-and-cheese balls, fried green tomatoes, a grits bar, etc. I know it seems like a lot of starch, but the menu is more extensive, I promise. I'm giving Krispy Kreme Donuts as our favors; however, I'm not quite sure how I should have them displayed. I have thought of two options. 1) Have them in their boxes (like how you would buy them at the store) with clear, plastic bags and ribbon for my guests to tie and with a label on the bag. 2) Have them individually wrapped and placed back in a new box, but having the boxes displayed. Guests would just grab the pre-assembled donut as they left. I hope these options make sense. I'm just not sure which one to do. Also, I'm trying to come up with a saying for the donuts. All suggestions are welcome!

Im so excited, ok so my colors are navy blue, eggplant purple and silver. I ordered silver two piece boxes with our names and wedding date on them in purple, and blue and purple Hershey kisses with blue and purple wrappers!!!! All for under 50!!!!! Enough for 100 guests!! So I'm planning to get "chair" shaped favor boxes that double as placecard holder. The box is 1.5 inches on every side. I have many people coming from out of town. I could keep it easy and just do candy inside but doesn't anyone have any useful items that would fit in the box but also have a purpose? Its going to be silver with a dark purple ribbon. I've included a picture of the box and the box has to close. Any creative ideas?

Hey everyone! We are having a destination/cruise ship wedding and I was wondering if anyone else was doing the same thing or had ideas for favors I could give. Since a good portion of people will be flying down, I want them to have something that isn't breakable, but also something they could use. Has anyone been to a cruise ship wedding and gotten favors? We are driving there so we aren't worrying about our part of the transportation. Any ideas would be great. Thank you!

Favor ideas for country/winery wedding!

Anyone have ideas for a country/winery themed wedding? I prefer to use something closer to 'country' rather than giving away mini wine bottles. There's about 30 people total. I'm looking to do something somewhat easy, or not too costly. I'm open to do-it-yourself as well. I'm also hoping to have something people can keep, rather than consuming and throwing away.

Some ideas I had:
- Engraved leather key chains (I'm from Canada Ontario but can't find anywhere that does this, but I love the idea)
- Engraved picture frame, not sure how much this would cost, doesn't really go with the country theme

Candy Buffet Ideas Please!

We are having a candy buffet at our August 25 wedding. The ceremony and reception are both outdoors, so chocolate is pretty much out of the question. I wanted to have candy and other things (like chocolate covered pretzels/cookies/etc) but I can't have anything that will melt because it gets pretty warm where we are having the wedding. We aren't going with out color scheme, so all types of candy suggestions are welcome...what type would you like to see at a wedding???

Candy Buffet - How much to put in apothecary jars??

For those of you that have done candy buffets at your weddings, how much candy did you buy for each jar?

I have a few different sizes of jars - tall ones, mid-size, short - you get the idea. I also have a list of candies that I'd like to order/buy for each jar, but am unsure of how to measure how much I need.

For example, I'm going to put red M&Ms in mid-size jar - for the most part, everyone likes them, but they don't take up a lot of space. How many pounds is good, do you think? I will probably put bigger candies (foil-wrapped hearts and fireballs) in the larger jars because they take up more room....I think.

I don't know - what are your thoughts!? Any advice is totally appreciated!!
