As of today I am officially an MSW!! I graduated on Sunday, and I received all of my grades today. My family, Emmett and my FI all came to the commencement ceremony and took me out to dinner afterwards. It was awesome!

I am so happy that I have this degree and I am even happier that my family was able to support me through out this time. I also wanted to thank NEY for keeping me sane and for supporting me through my rough times while I was in grad school.

All mushy things aside, at dinner my FI pulled me aside with Emmett in the carrier strapped to his chest and Emmett had a little card in his hand. The card was from our local Jewelers informing me that FI had set my grandmothers stone. I went this afternoon to pick it up and I am stunned. FI asked me to wear the rings interchangeably. I think it was so kind and sweet of him to do this for me. My mother helped him pick the setting.

Goooooooood morning!

It's Thursday! It's almost Friday! And it's sunny and beautiful here and I am in a great mood :)

FI and I are officially in our house! I spent the whole weekend packing up my apartment (while he went and had fun in Vegas for his bachelor party...) and he moved all my stuff yesterday. I do not know how I fit so much stuff into my tiny apartment, it was staggering to see the number of boxes I had packed up. I had to go back to the apartment to clean and pull together the stuff that I told him not to move, but I got that all done and I am no longer a downtown-dweller. I was actually sort of sad to leave my apartment; it was tiny and expensive but I lived there for almost 2 years and I will miss downtown for sure. BUT our house would fit like 4 of my apartment and we have a backyard soooo I think it's a great trade! The painters are almost done and FI and his uncle installed all of the laminate over the last few days, so things are looking pretty good.

My only irritation with the move is that I was meticulous about labeling all of the boxes with what was in them and what room they needed to go to, to try and have some idea of where stuff would be for the next few days. I got to the house last night (at like 10:30, after cleaning and finishing packing for like 4 hours) and FI and his guys had just stacked everything up in the kitchen. I was unimpressed to say the least, especially because all I wanted was a shower and I had no idea where the boxes for the bathroom were. Of course FI had stopped at the drug store to pick up body wash for himself...but not for me. I chose not to share the fries from my dinner as a result.

Thursday theme: it's Throwback Thursday! What's your favourite old movie? Any era, as long as you consider it old.

I am a huge fan of Ferris Bueller, the Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, etc. Also When Harry Met Sally, because all of the hilarious hair.

Don't be afraid to admit it lol.

I noticed this morning that we waste a lot of energy in our household with leaving the lights on or not unplugging things like the blender, toaster, coffee maker, etc...I don't know how much that would save us in our electric bill but I figured we aren't doing good by leaving it all on like that.
Good morning everyone! How was your weekend?

Mine was pretty uneventful. BF had a fencing tournament all weekend so I didn't see much of him at all, and he wouldn't spend the night last night because he wanted to help his parents with the laundry... which is sweet and also annoying lol. I hope he's as dedicated to laundry when we move in together as he is now because I HATE it!!!

Today I wanted to go for a run before work tonight, but I HAVE to clean my house first. It is SO messy, I've seriously been neglectful. It never takes nearly as long as I think it will so hopefully I'm overestimating time and will actually have time to run and shower before I gotta leave this afternoon.

Weekend vent: Yesterday a customer of mine who works at six flags, who heard that BF ditched me to go a few weeks ago, gave me his email and told me to let him know when me and my friends want to go and he'll reserve us some flash passes, which is SO nice of him, and one of my coworkers overheard us talking and he was like "hey let me have that email." And I'm just like uhhhh no? This guy is the BIGGEST trouble maker and talks the most shit about me and my boss out of any of them, and given how much I am struggling with everyone right now, I couldn't BELIEVE he had the nerve. I obviously wont be mentioning it to anyone else, I never even meant for anyone to hear us talking about it. The entitlement is just UNREAL. (I should mention that we are NOT by any means allowed to ask for things
from customers so the fact that he offered to give me passes is allowed
and I am allowed to accept, but I can't just be like "hey you work at
this place can you hook me up?") Just because I am nice to customers, am well liked by them, and they offer to do me nice favors doesn't mean that I am gonna even take them up on those offers, much less share them with assholes!!!

phew, just had to get that out. Whats your weekend vent?
Right now the housekeeper is here cleaning, so that makes me happy.

This weekend we have a lot of errands to run.

Morning ladies! I know some of you may still be a little rough yet from a certain someone's BP over the weekend ;) so I thought I would start the weekly check in discussion.

I did really well this weekend. Had a great workout on Friday after work. I tried splurging again on Friday by ordering pizza for BF and I since he had ZERO in the house. Long story short, it took an hour and half to get there and we refused the pizza since it was in his car for at least 45 minutes at that point and we were not called saying there was a delay or anything. We were pretty ticked off so we got ready and went out for Indian food. Yet another sign that I should not even try to cheat once, FML...

Saturday I worked in the restaurant and had no time to eat all day so BF took me to Chipotle for dinner and I had my usual veggie bowl. Sunday I had another great workout with leftover Chipotle for lunch. For dinner we had cilantro chicken and a sweet potato. It was delish. I went grocery shopping and bought some PBD so I will try that soon too.

Today I had a luna bar for breakfast (I forgot I brought boca sausage patties) and for lunch I am having an english muffin with a California boca patty and an orange. Planning on making fajitas tonight with ground turkey for dinner and working out to get rid of this bitchiness inside me (it's that bad).

How is everyone else doing? Anyone try anything new lately like a healthy recipe? New exercise? Learn any tips they want to share?

HAPPY MONDAY! :P

Well, that was probably the most fun night of my entire life.

Saturday morning, my best friend/MOH Nicole drove up with my youngest sister to pick me up along with my middle sister and one of my friends. The five of us drove down to AC together. When we had about an hour left in the trip, my youngest sister (who turned 21 in October) realized she had left her purse on my kitchen counter. With her ID in it. UGH. Anyways, it bummed us out for the rest of the ride but it ended up not really affecting anything!

We arrived at Harrah's and Nicole and my middle sister went up to the room, while the rest of us had a drink at a bar. Then we went to the pool. It was AWESOME. It was in an atrium and it was all warm and humid and tropical inside, with palm trees and a big pool and a bunch of hot tubs and cabana areas and multiple bars. We had some nachos and more drinks and then finally went up to the room, which they had decorated! @Swazzle @Buddysmom80, @GoldenPenguin and @Csousa1 had arrived by that point and I went and hung out with them for a little while and then we all got ready to go out. We went to Buddakan at Caesar's for dinner, and the food was phenomenal. We did a chef's tasting menu and there were some kind of edemame ravioli that were really good, and steak, and Asian BBQ pork, and ginourmous onion rings, and reeeeeally good dessert, and sangria. After that we went.....to a male strip club. Seriously. At first I was mortified and like "omg are we really doing this?" but it ended up being a hilariously good time. As evidenced below, my lovely friends got me up on stage where I was then decorated by them with dollar bills, for the strippers to then collect with both their hands and...mouths. It was interesting. There was onlt one stripper I thought was legitimately hot, and I didn't get to touch him, but @GoldenPenguin got her butt grabbed by him!!!

After that, we took a cab back to our hotel to go to the pool, which turns into a club at night. We had to wait in line and there was a reaaaally high cover to get in, but it was SO COOL. I am NOT the clubbing type at all, but being by the pool with palm trees around made me feel like we were in Miami or something, which was amazing. We kind of joined up with a bachelor party for a little while so that we could sit down at their table. I distinctly remember hanging with the bachelor in that group, and while he had his arm around me I said something like "This is great! We can hang out and flirt shamelessly all night but since we're both getting married next month we know absolutely nothing can happen!" and he said "Okay....but I was trying to fool myself into thinking that something could happen and you just ruined that for me." Oh well. My sister basically fell in love with some guy, and she wound up jumping into the pool with him. With all of her clothes on. She dried off and that at about 3:30am, so we decided to go get sandwiches and get back to the room. I had lost everyone else at that point other than my middle sister and MOH (youngest sister went back to the room after the strip club), but a little while after we got back to the room my friend was walked back to the room by some guy.

I will admit to flirting shamelessly with many people that night, and then dancing with a guy who....kissed my neck. And then tried to kiss my lips, but I told him he had to stop. I told FI about it last night and he said "Uhhhh.... there were literally vaginas in my face at that strip club, so I think we're all good." I love that man.

In the morning, I went to the NEY room, where I heard tales of - and I quote - "SO MUCH BLOOD." @Swazzle had somehow hurt herself really badly, had to be seen by medics, and then wheelchaired back to the room!!! I hope she heals quickly.

Anyways, sorry for any typos, rambling, etc, above. I am exhausted and am going to need about a week to recover. Here are pictures!!!

Ask your guests to use their digital cameras or smartphones to capture the moments even the best photographers sometimes miss. Add a line on your “I Spy” card with an address where guests can upload photos (try one of these apps!).
How was everyone's weekend?

@Hummingbird125 I hope you had the most epic bachelorette night ever!

@KeptInStitches It's your wedding week!!! You're nearly there!

I woke up to a thunderstorm today so I decided I'd rather work from home than battle traffic. Plus I have some early meetings so this saves me from having to rush rush rush.

On Friday H got a promotion!!!! We had been hearing some whispers about structural changes at his company and we were both worried that while he'd get a promotion, it would also be a move to manager position on swing shift....but instead his boss called him aside Friday afternoon and told him he'd been promoted to Senior Systems Engineer. He's been staff for something like 3 or 4 years now so this was a LONG time coming. We're both so happy and excited....plusalso this means a raise! Woo!!!

Otherwise, I did nothing exciting other than work my butt off in the yard on Saturday in between rain showers and then I hung out with @southernpeach89 to watch GoT. Any thoughts on this week's episode? I thought it was better than the season opener.

Hey ladies - @SouthernPeach89 sent me a PM and reminded me that I hadn't updated everyone about the baby...and the I realized I've been MIA this week...so hopefully I didn't worry anyone!

We had an ultrasound yesterday and baby flipped! Everything is looking good and our doc says it's VERY unlikely baby will flip back again at this point...so most likely we won't have to schedule a c-section or try the version thing. H and I were so relieved.

Also lots of fuzz around the head, so apparently our little one is going to come out with lots of hair! Baby is measuring 6.5 lbs. right now...so they're guessing 7.5-8 lbs by delivery time. I'm already dilated to almost 2 and haven't even felt any contractions...so here's to hoping it will be an easy delivery (or at least as easy as they can be)!

Thanks for everyone's support last week. It really meant a lot to know how much you all care...helped get me through a week of worried. You ladies are the best!

But at least it was something and I'm planning on doing yoga when I get home from work tonight.

I think I need to skip up to week 2 on 30DS. I've done week 1 SO MANY times in the past that I could literally lead a class on it. I think that's what my major problem was this morning (I was really bored and uninspired) so I might bump up tomorrow and hopefully that'll help!

I only have one sister. I was in her wedding August 2013 as a bridesmaid. I haven't decided on anyone in my bridal party (as per good judgement) beside for her. She's my sister, it's a bit of a no brainer.

This weekend I went to visit her and we were chatting about the wedding. She made a point to say well there's a thing called matron of honor.

It was like asking to be MOH without directly asking to be MOH. Although I definitely have considered her, I'm not sure who I want yet because I haven't decided! Am I overreacting by being a bit turned off by this?

Well, I ate a cup of ice cream with chocolate sauce last night, but I factored it into my meal plan at least. It was GORGEOUS out on my drive home and the last thing I wanted to do was to go to the gym and be stuck inside, so I called FI up while I was on my way, and asked if he wanted to go to the park to play tennis instead! We played for about 30 minutes, and it felt like a decent workout but I know I would have done more if I had gone to the gym. When I got home and got our chili simmering on the stove, I spent 15 minutes doing the P90X ab-ripper workout. I haven't done it for a while and it was HARD. My abs are sore today, so I think it was effective!

Today I plan to go to the gym for cardio after work, and will use my weights throughout the day to do bicep curls.

I seriously can't even believe it. I was having some buyer's remorse this weekend. Mainly I was wondering if we should have spent the money to go somewhere we haven't been before and then I was also like crap, we just spent A LOT of money. But when I got the vouchers this morning I got really excited all over again and I can't even believe it and I can't wait.

My weekend was really nice! The weather was absolutely perfect. I spent both days doing house stuff. H and I finished our dining room chairs yesterday and they look amazing. We're going to start working on the china cabinet we found on CL this week and hopefully by the weekend, the dining room will be DONE! I also rearranged the living room a little bit (I added a table behind the couch). I want to pick out blinds for both rooms ASAP and I need a rug for the living room. Then we'll move on to painting the downstairs guest room and FINALLY get to work on the master bedroom :)

Here are some pics complete with a Brody photobomb:

Sorry I've been MIA the last few days, I was on vacation and just got back last night.

Listen to this though, my best friend was supposed to be in our mutual friend's wedding next month and the bachelorette party was last night. I got a phone call from her at 1am but didn't hear my phone, just got the call and a text saying "i need to talk to you" so I was really concerned all day and tried to reach out until I heard from her a little while ago. The bride and the rest of the bridal party TOOK OFF and left her at the club they were at while she was answered a phone call outside. She literally watched them get into the limo and drive away. I feel so terrible that I wasn't conscious to get her call and couldn't help her because I am two states away anyway. I just have no words. I was seeing facebook updates this morning and looking for my friend in the photos and OF COURSE she's not in them because they ditched her in the middle of the night. She could have been hurt. Now, obviously, she isn't going to the wedding and pretty much isn't going to speak to anyone ever again. I just feel terrible, she asked me to go with her but I missed my pets and wanted to come home, crowds and clubs really aren't my thing anyway. Now I wish I had gone to be with her. In what universe is behavior like that acceptable?!?!

Yesterday we found out that FI's kids' 5 year old cousin has cancer. He was diagnosed with a stage 3 Wilms' tumor. Because of his age, the doctors suspect he may have had it for a few years but that it went undiagnosed. They were originally going to remove the kidney & surrounding lymph nodes today but couldn't because he started running a pretty bad fever last night so they put him on a bunch of meds and were postponing until tomorrow. Today, however, they came back and now think that the reason he's been in so much pain is because he fell and part of it burst and that now some of the cancerous cells have been released into his blood stream. The doctors were waiting on second opinions before proceeding any further.

Everybody's taking it really hard, but still trying to keep chins up and wish for the best. He's a really sweet kid.

-Update-

First off, you guys are awesome. Thanks so much for the T&P. - Little man is still in a lot of pain. I guess blood is still regularly pooling in his abdomen so they had to do transfusions today. Turns out it was 2 tumors that ended up fusing together which is apparently unheard of for this kind of cancer. Surgery to remove it tomorrow, part of it is going to St. Jude's and the rest is going to the National Wilms' Tumor Study. He's looking at a minimum of 19 weeks of chemo. I occasionally do superhero themed charity events so I'm trying to network with other performers to find a Superman in the town he's being treated in to go visit on his birthday in 2 weeks if the doctors will allow non-family in by that point.

-Update 2-

Surgery went better than expected. The mass they removed was around the size of a child's football. We're still waiting to get back some of the test results from the lab.

They did get his feeding tube out yesterday so he started on jello and popsicles. Optimistically, they're hoping to have him home by the end of the week.

So I finally listened to @peekaboo2011 and went to a curvy brides salon in DC yesterday. Both Peek and another BM went with me. I had a lot of fun. I went in with a list of dresses I wanted to try, and the consultant pulled everything they had on my list....and one more. I tried on all the ones I asked for and none of them were quite right. Then I tried on the consultants pick and BAM! She was spot on. It was not at all what I asked for, but it was perfect! I'm so excited!!

Soooooo...without further ado, the dress:
