Can't decide on bridesmaids dresses

Need some advice. I dont want to tell my bridesmaids what to wear, but I also want to make sure their dresses go with mine. Should I just pick out the dresses they wear or should they show me the dresses they like to pick out the one we all agree on? I don't want to be THAT kind of bride but we are having a hard time agreeing.

Wanted to share my recent experience so that everyone can learn from it and hopefully not have the same thing happen to them.

Ultimately, I bought my wedding gown in Milan and the tailor completely destroyed it and they have yet to take responsibility

so I ended up looking at one more store and found this other dress, now they are both higher necklines even tho I thought I would get strapless! Lol funny how that happens! Help me decide between these two! the one that is more lacey I would be customizing it to take off a large amount of the lace at the bottom and have it have a trickle of lace design coming down onto the skirt rather than the whole skirt being lace.

Hi there! I was wondering if anyone out there has accessorized plain sweetheart neckline dresses. I purchased the Allure 9254 gown in the hopes of adding some “bling” but cannot seem to find any. I do not like belts, which is the majority of the options I have seen and were given at the bridal store. Does anyone know of any sweetheart appliqué they make that could be added onto the neckline? I purchased an applique off of amazon but feel that the stones are too big and would cheapen the look of the dress. I searched around and found one picture on another site from a couple years ago, and it’s more like what I had in mind. Does anyone have any suggestions? After Party Attire

Hi all...just secured the hotel bar for our after party, and MOH suggested I find a cute outfit for it. We'll be going right from our reception to the after party though, aka I'll still be in my wedding dress...do brides typically change into other outfits or is it "ok" to stay in the wedding dress? (I feel like I have 50 different pre-wedding event outfits..AH!)

I hope this will information will help.
My best friend asked me to be in his wedding and asked all the bridesmaids to wear white. He and his fiancée chose JJSHOUSE due to the variety and lower price-point. I will say that I did not read any reviews before I ordered my dress as I too am planning my wedding and am on a time crunch for both events.
When you order the dress they MAKE you pay an additional $17 to $20 for expedited shipping which they say will arrive with 6 to 8 business days. 30+ days later I received a terrible dress that looks nothing like the dress, nor is it White. This dress has a blueish grey tinge... the quality is so cheap... It's empire wasted. I would NEVER wear an empire waist dress. Plus you can see the dried glue from where they glued on a rubber strip as a means to support this dress being described as strapless.
I was surprised to find no RETURN information in the box so I contacted them online. They responded that at best they could refund me 40% of the amount of a 50% future credit...(as if I would EVER order from them again). They ask for photos and then they decide if the dress deserves refund. This is outright theft, fraud and a scam. I am so hurt, mortified, and distraught by this entire fiasco.

Was not expecting to love it as much as I did when I put it on...I will say my other favorite dress is the complete opposite. It is also a mermaid style but has swarovski crystals all over it! But is this one too simple looking? I don't want to look "boring" on my wedding day!

I hate dress shopping. I have been to 4 appointments and have only had one positive experience.
I went with my mom and FMIL and my mother actually said "I don't see the big deal, she could just wear her old one (from my 1st wedding) and we just won't tell (FH)" to FMIL.
Another boutique didn't have anything I had picked out in their look book complete with the sales consultant telling me "that won't fit to try on" when I pointed to one on the mannequin, and I found it in my size by myself 5min later.
A third quoted a dress at 575 just for me to get to the checkout and "our bad, there's a 1 in front of the 5, it's hidden in the dollar sign "
I actually broke down crying because nothing has been fitting and consultants tell me to buy and then we can see what it would look like in the right size. Other boutiques are telling me I'm running out of time to even get a dress. FH wants me to be happy but going to any dress appointment now just seems like a chore or getting a root canal. I don't want to go anywhere at this point. I don't know what to do.

Tuxedo help

Hi,

I am hoping to get some advice about tuxedos. The bridesmaids chose their own long dresses in either gold, champagne or blush. The mothers are wearing long black dresses. (The general wedding attire is "cocktail attire")

The original thought would be that the groom, fathers and groomsmen would be in black tuxedos. The groom is now questioning how to handle the men's attire. The fathers and some of the groomsmen own black tuxedos, but they would then all be different. The groom is also planning on buying a tuxedo before the wedding.

Would it be ok if the groom asks the groomsmen to all rent the same tuxedo and get matching ties, possibly coordinating with the bridesmaids' colors? If so, should the fathers rent the same tuxedos as the groomsmen or can they wear their own? It was also suggested that the groom could wear a black tie, the fathers wear black bow ties and the groomsmen wear the coordinating ties.

I realize these are personal choices, but can someone please give advice about what might look the best. At this point, the groom is even wondering if the groomsmen should be in grey or navy. Help please!

Guest attire for fantasy themed wedding

Hi everyone! My fiancé and I both work at a creative video game field, so naturally we wanted a fantasy themed wedding (think medieval times, lord of the rings, game of thrones etc)

While I am going to be all fairied up, I’d like to have the guest to (at least try) match the theme. I’m not asking them to ensemble corset with robes and armor, it’ll just be nice to see some flowers crowns with long dress.

Where I’m having trouble is what to write on the attire as for when I send out the invitations? Semi formal? Cocktail?

Hi Knotties, I need some “intimates” help...

My dress is very form-fitting in the butt and hips, so I’m not really sure what underwear would be best. For the top I’m having cups sewn in, but I’m in need of some “bottoms” advice.

I am just wondering if this is too much for accessories? (I am generally a less is more style person). I’m afraid I got a little crazy.

Here is a link to what my dress looks like, the headband I bought and a link to the belt/appliqué I’m thinking. The dress doesn’t look right without the belt I don’t think.

Sorry. Changed my mind on the dress. I Managed to change it last minute. My friend actually has a headpeice that looks like this one and offered to let me to borrow it. I prefer it to be honest. I may sell the other one. Finally, with the change in dress and headpeice I managed to get a different belt. I really like it. It’s worth the price. It really goes with the headpeice. The only thing staying the same is the pearl earrings. Hahah.

My wedding dress is not completely open back, but the back is lower than a traditional bra strap. It is also strapless. Currently, I am thinking of buying a lowline strapless bra/bustier that comes a bit lower in the back, but every single one I find has very mixed reviews. Any suggestions for brands or specific bras that work well? And preferably is a push up? And maybe on top of that, reasonably priced?

:P *sigh*

Keep in mind that my real band size is like 27", but I wear a 32C on the tightest hook because it's the closest I can find that is reasonably priced. I can do a 32C lowline bra, but it has to fit tightly around my torso, which is what I'm mostly worried about, since my torso is not even close to 32" around. I've never worn a lowline bra, so I don't know how they are sized normally.

Also I live in the middle of nowhere right now and I cannot go into any professional lingerie stores (or even anything as simple as a Victoria Secret). It pretty much has to be online.

[I also considered a sticky bra, but the one I tried before didn't really stick, and my wedding ceremony is also outdoors in the Houston area, so it will be hot af and I don't think it will stick at all.]
