So I was originally planning on having my bridesmaids wear navy blue, and the groomsmen to wear grey suits with navy ties. Buuuuut I would really like my fiance to stand out among the groomsmen so we've decided that he will wear a navy blue suit. So my dilemma is, now that the groom is wearing a navy suit (color palette of our wedding is navy, copper/goldish tones) I would like to switch the bridesmaid dresses to something other than navy. I was thinking of having the girls wear a nude-ish/champagne color dress, groomsmen wear a grey suit with navy tie (to tie in the navy color) and the groom will wear a navy suit. Does this sound okay??? Or have I completely lost it??

So my first bridesmaid got her dress in and unlike the pictures the front of the dress is sheer and the back is lace (like I wanted). The front was not supposed to be sheer. Does anyone have any ideas how to combat the front being sheer without losing the open back look?

I attached a picture of the front and back. In the back picture it looks like there is something under the dress but the back is just lace. The front is the same lace but has a sheer black covering... Its just too sheer.

MOH and Pregnant BM Question

Okay, two questions:

1. My little sister (19 y/o) is my MOH. She is very excited and in her excitement told me that she thinks MOHs get different bouquets and dresses. While a little miffed that she quickly made this about her, I got over it and decided to do whatever. If it makes her that happy to have some different flowers and a different dress, then fine. I talked to a potential florist and he picked flowers for a slightly different bouquet, no problem. My question is about the dress - is it typical (or acceptable) for MOH to be wearing something different than the rest of the BMs? How different? Like a different dress, different color, etc.? If she ends up with a different color, do we match the best man to her instead of to the rest of the BMs/GMs?

2. My SIL, who is a bridesmaid, is pregnant - yay! She's very early, only like six weeks, and she asked if we could go dress shopping soon so she can get a dress before she gets big. She's due about two months before the wedding. I immediately told her she can wear whatever she wants - completely different dress, maternity type dress, literally whatever. She insisted that she wants to get the same dress as everyone else and just do it soon while she's at her regular size. This is her first kid. I mentioned that she might be putting too much pressure on herself to lose a lot of weight in two months with a newborn, but she didn't seem to care. Do I just go along with this (i.e., have her get the same dress as everyone else), or do I privately talk to her about this again (we only talked about it with my family around at the time they told us that she's pregnant) and like either make sure she's sure or try to convince her to do differently? I just really do not want my wedding to be something stressful for her and I'm worried she's a little too optimistic about what will happen once the baby comes. But I also don't wan to be condescending - she's a grownass woman and if she wants to get the dress soon and at her current size, then so be it. Has anyone dealt with this before?

Thanks as always for your help!

ETA: One problem with getting BMs dresses ASAP is my sister in out of the country for a month and I do not think she will like it if I shop for dresses without her. As far as pregnancies go, will SIL still be about her same size in a month (so about 10-11 weeks into her pregnancy)? Or do I really need to go like ASAP and tell my sister I don't have a choice?

I have tried it with a simple sash that has some beading in the middle (as opposed to all the way around) and I like it in person but in pictures, it cuts me up and makes me look short (I am short, but!). So I'm debating buying a sash (the bridal shop quoted $160), buying a cheaper sash and deciding closer to the wedding date, or just going no sash. Thoughts?

Most things for the wedding are coming together nicely, but I'm stymied by accessories. In particular, my veil.

My wedding dress is light gold with true gold accents. I'll be wearing my grandmother's gold and diamond bracelet and earrings, which are beautiful pieces but quite small and discreet. To add a little more oomph, I'll be wearing gold hair cuffs on my dreads. They look like this:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/183263472/gold-plated-hair-cuffs-set-of-20?ref=market

I also want to add a bandeau veil, at least for the ceremony and pictures. This is the look I had in mind:

https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/56267967/silver-or-gold-metallic-mini-bandeau?ref=related-3

My question is, if I order it in gold, will the overall look be just way too golden? I like the idea of being shiny; I'd rather not look like a chandelier. I could get it in white instead, but that won't match as well.

Any thoughts?

Help! I would love to wear these sandals on our wedding day but can't find them anywhere. Does anyone out there know where I can find them, or something very similar? I definitely want to wear low wedges or flats, and sandals like these would be nice because we'll be having an outdoor summer wedding. Thank you in advance!!

So my friend is getting married July 2016. She already chose the bridesmaid dress but I have only seen it in a picture, not in person so I have not tried it on. We also cant see it in the actual color until it comes in. The dress costs $212 after the "discount". I feel like it costs too much and I have already tried explaining this to the bride and so have 2 other bridesmaids. She doesnt understand why we wouldnt want to do this for her wedding. She isnt changing her mind. I told her I have a family to worry about and dont want to spend that much and so her response was to ask if I didnt want to be in the wedding. I feel like shes being rude. She didnt ask what our budgets were to begin with. Should I back out?

I recently purchased my dress (pictures attached) and am trying to figure out what to do for a bra. As you can see, the dress has a VERY low back, making a regular bra out of the question. Do you think I should try to find a low-back bustier? A stick-on, backless bra? Or do I even need a bra? I'm a 32 C...

I was considering having the seamstress sew in cups. If I do that, what should I wear to the fittings? I'll be honest, being completely topless while trying on my dress made me a little uncomfortable. I would be even more uncomfortable if I was braless while the seamstress was messing around in that area.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Hello everyone!
Quite a while ago I posted about some wedding dresses, I started looking for my dress early on, when most stores didn't have their new collections in.
I have tried loads of dresses by now and I just haven't found one that has blown me away. I'm horribly indecisive in general and I'm finding this decision really tough.
I don't have a set style (as in princess, vintage, boho, Grecian, etc) and now I've lost weight I fit in almost any style, which doesn't help!
I'm heavily influenced by what the vendor says and then go home and stare at the photo and I'm unconvinced. Or the other way round: I'm not convinced with the dress on and then I try to convince myself to like it.
I seem to have become a little picky too as I seem to fault them...
Here are some recent ones I've tried:

Yolancris: stunning back but my dad hates the horizontal lines and I wonder if the skirt looks like a curtain.

Pronovias: can't fault it, quality noticeably not very good and I don't feel it's very exciting

Jose Maria Peiro: very well fitted top, don't like skirt and the top is actually see through

Jenny Packham: I like the idea of something unusual but it doesn't feel bridal, it's like a party dress

Any tips or opinions? Will I really know when it's THE DRESS?

Thanks so much!!

Two will be 5 & 6 year olds as flower girls, one will be 8 as ring bearer and one will be almost 10 who will be bringing up Mary's flowers - which she's done before and asked to do again vs junior bridesmaid.

So, my sis will have had a baby 6 weeks out from my wedding. Since we first started talking about my wedding, she makes comments about how she can wear something different since she's matron of honor. Totally fine. I originally wanted everyone to wear something different. Feel comfortable, buy something you think you'd actually wear twice. The color scheme is neutral, pick a winner! I was told I needed to give them more direction than that, so I picked 4 or 5 dresses from a line and said "go forth, try on, find something you like!" I should mention that I'm overseas and can't be with my girls to try on dresses, which is difficult. One of the girls helped narrow down the colors in the dress brand to a light, soft peachy/blush color, a "mocha" color and a light creamy/bronze color. Everyone went separately and wound up picking the same dress style, so I cut out the color no one wanted, and have 4 girls, 2 in one color, 2 in the other. My sister makes 5, so I said wear whatever. My sister looked at that designer online and was like "they're all open back, I'll have too much back fat, I won't be able to wear a bra " and I said, fine, pick something else, just keep it a neutral tone. You don't even have to pick the same brand. She says, "that's just not as easy as you think it is. Why don't you have the girls wear the same things and I'll wear something different." And I'm like," go find something different, you don't have to pick this brand!" So she goes, tries on lacy dresses of that brand (my dress is all over lace), which doesn't even come in the same colors as the rest of the dresses anyway (which i informed of both before her shopping trip and during) - and her options are ballet slipper pink, white, turquoise blue, and dark grey. Apparently she's about to cry over how post pregnancy fat she's gonna be and nothing fits and on and on and this is the only dress that works. My mom is sending me texts the next day trying to convince me to let her wear the pink dress. I'm like, she could literally have picked any damn dress in the store she didn't feel ugly in, and she chose only to try on the designer that she knew she didn't like the backs of dresses of, and then wants to wear the only dress that either a) isn't even close to anyone else's or b) looks like mine. Then, she sends me an email (which is very uncharacteristic of her) explaining that she understands that I gave her a choice, but it's just not that easy and someday I'll understand and we'll all just have to agree to disagree and she'll just pick one of the dresses from the same line that matches the other girls. I'm just confused. Am I being bitchy here? I don't feel like I'm being bitchy. I've told her like 4 times to go try on literally anything and find a color somewhere between cream and mocha, any brand, I don't care, whatever she feels comfortable in. I've suggested having back panels sewn into the dresses that show her back, on me, and she says that won't work. She says "it's not that easy" but I know exactly what store she's shopping in. Another bridesmaid sent me a picture when I said, "pick a neutral color" of about 50 dresses in blush/cream/ivory neutral tones (she was making me narrow the playing field!). I know my sister only tried on the one brand I continuously told her not to try on. And the only thing she comes up with is a lacy dress that looks like my wedding dress that comes in white pink and blue. I don't like pink, and it was the color of her bridesmaid dresses. It almost feels like she's creating difficulty where there doesn't need to be. Help! She just sent me this email, and I don't know what to do with it. Sympathetic? Just move on and chalk it up to pregnancy brain on her part? I'm getting angry with the situation so I don't want to respond. Can someone unbiased shed some light here? Please tell me if I'm being the asshole. Our relationship tends to be that I'm the pushover little sister and she is often the bossy Let-me-tell-you-what-to-do type, so I feel like I'm letter our dynamic influence this situation. ok, I'm down now. Looking forward to your thoughts.

He's decided he wants to buy a nice suit for himself, which is fine, but he certainly shouldn't make the same request of his men. I don't have any special requests except that they wear grey, but I don't know how to find a brand/style that they can find worldwide. I guess I don't really even care if they all wear the exact same suit, but it sure would be nice to pull off. Any suggestions?

Hey everyone! Im getting married March 5, 2016 and just bought my dress a couple weeks ago. Im having major anxiety that I didnt choose the right one. There was another one that I tried on and had that emotional "say yes to the dress" moment but wanted to go to one last store before I made up my mind. I ended up buying another dress because at that point I kinda just wanted to be done shopping around but when I look at photos of it I just don't feel like its "The one". It said final sale on the reciept, which makes me even more anxious. I've attached photos of the one I bought and would love some opinions (maybe I'm stressing for nothing). It still needs lots of tailoring to fit me better. Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do?

Hello all,
What are your thoughts on accessorizing this dress?

Just some background info .. I am wearing my hair half up, half down and to the side - I have very long dark hair. Not sure if that type of hairstyle would even look good with a veil - but I do love the idea. I have tried googling the style shown with a veil .. to no a"veil" (see what I did there) (too much coffee).

I also have a half sleeve super colorful tattoo of a peacock on my left arm, and some shaded stars falling down my right shoulder down my back to my thigh.
