Shapewear for fitted, low-cut gown -- HELP!

So my main concern is my belly. As you can see from the photos, there is a pooch there. Even if I suck in, there's a small (but noticeable) pooch at my lower abdomen, and since this dress is fitted, there's no way to hide it. I'm actively trying to lose weight but am on several medications that cause weight gain/increased appetite, so I've been unsuccessful so far. I am not wearing any undergarments in the photos (except for regular underwear -- no bra, though). I really want to use a waist cincher, but ones I have tried create unsightly back fat. An added complication is that, as you can see, the neckline and back of the gown are quite low, so it's been hard to find shapewear that is not visible. Any suggestions?? I'm freaking out!

I am getting married in February and am having some dress issues. I am not having a big wedding less than 25 people in a small chapel. I'm looking into a wedding dress but don't know if I should rent one or buy one. I will probably have to have alterations done since I'm only 5ft 2. Has anyone had any experience with renting a dress vs. buying one?

I'm looking at possibly having my bridesmaids order their dresses from their since the prices are really reasonable, and they can have the same colour in a different dress if need be.

The reviews all sound great! Has anyone had a bad experience? Or any good experiences as well? My issue is they use really tall slim girls, and my bridesmaids 5'3, 5'4, 5'6 and 5'9, and they don't have the option for people who have purchased dresses to post pics (ie: like modcloth does).

Hello!

After looking at the basically translucent swatch that didn't tell me too much what the color looked like and the online version of the dress, the online version look WAY more green than I would like. I wanted the dresses to be a soft aqua blue.

Has anyone bought or used Belsoie dresses in the sea glass Tiffany Chiffon? Was it more green or blue? I know that specific, but the colors are very different for this brand for different materials. If you have any pictures, I would really appreciate seeing them.

OMG!!! Please tell me there are others out there that have bought a dress, then exchanged, and have still doubted their choice. I am in that predicament now!! I am in the process of making another appointment to try on a dress and if I purchase this will be the 3rd one. I don't even know if David's bridal will let me exchange a 2nd time.

Has anyone purchased these dresses for their bridesmaids? I really like the style and think it is very slimming, however, a bit of the fabric was puckering at the neck line making it not look smooth across. I asked the woman in the store about it, and she said it's just how it is, however, it doesn't look like that in the photos online. I was hoping it was just because so many people tried it on The dress is the Mori Lee 20415 Bridesmaid Dress.

I've attached photos of both what it looks like online and the photo of one of my bridesmaids trying it on where you will see the bunching.

Alterations - DC area + general q.

Hi everyone! I'm getting married the first second week of May 2015, and I bought my dress at a sample sale. I'm embarking on the alterations process (much needed because the dress was a sample), and wanted to see if anyone had feedback.

1. Does anyone have recs for a seamstress in the DC metro area? I'm struggling because my mother is orthodox jewish and cannot travel in a car on Friday evening or Saturday. We both work full time, so coordinating time off during the week has been challenging, and as far as I can tell most of the popular boutiques and seamstresses are not open Sundays. Any advice on a quality shop, or someone with more flexible hours?

2. Because I got my dress at a sample sale, I haven't been able to get a ton of feedback from the boutique re: fittings schedules. What worked for you? How many fittings did you have? Am I late already? Yikes!

Hi! I was hoping for some guidance on how to choose my accessories. I have a form fitting ivory lace gown with a sweetheart neck, which I will be wearing with a rhinestone belt. I am not sure how I will be wearing my hair, but I hope to balance all all the accessories. I am thinking about earrings, a necklace and a head piece for the reception. What styles do you recommend? I don't want to look to over the top, but I do love the glamour of jewelry. Basically, how did you decide what pieces to wear? Thank you in advance

I have a Kenneth Pool Knockout dress for sale. I purchased it this past October for my May 2015 wedding but have since changed my mind and purchased another gown. I'm highly motivated to make a sale.

It has never been altered. I'm a size 0-2 but the dress is a size 4. I have the original receipt from the Chicago bridal store. The dress retails for $6,800 and I'm willing to part with it for $2,900 $1,900!

I would consider myself a little bit of an off-beat bride...I have worn a turquoise ring for as long as I can remember, and am toying with the idea of wearing a bold turquoise ring for my wedding, and by-passing a necklace or bracelet. I am getting so bored looking at all these pearl bracelets and stuff, and I know I would absolutely never wear something like that again...I'm not one to wear a lot of bling...My earrings have a tiny bit of bling, but nothing crazy..

What do you guys plan to do for your bridal jewelry? Anyone else doing/or did do bold statement jewelry?

Dress that is past floor length?

This is probably a dumb question, but does anyone ever wear a dress that goes past floor-length (drags on the floor a bit)? I know this will be hard to walk in, but the reason I ask is that in all pictures of wedding dresses, the model is always wearing a gown that not only touches the floor, but sits on the floor a bit, and I think it looks gorgeous when it does that. I don't plan to dance at my wedding so that won't be an issue. Will it just look stupid if my dress drags on the floor?

My dress is allover lace and sparkles a bit.It is a mermaid style. I have a sash similar to the one in the picture that is white ribbon, white flowers, and has a few pearls on it. I tried on a veil with lace along the edges, but I think it might be too much lace. Would a veil with beading or pearls clash? I'm leaning towards a simple satin edge veil. My wedding is outside in August at my fiance's farm, so I want an elbow or fingertip veil.

Opinions needed please!

Ok, so, I'm trying to keep things really simple with the bridal party. Ha! The main problem is that I look awful/jaundiced in white, so my dress is champagne and ivory. The bridesmaids are wearing black and carrying colorful, mismatched wildflowers. The men do not want to wear jackets (July wedding in the South - I don't blame them!). How can I dress the men without adding too many more colors, or having them look like the servers at the reception dinner, i.e. Black pants, white shirts, matching ties??? Can they wear white shirts if I'm wearing champagne and ivory? Or do they need ivory shirts so we don't clash?

Our top options right now are:

Black pants, Black shoes, Black belt, Ivory or white shirts, Black ties

Black pants, Black Shoes, Black Belt, Ivory or white shirts, color coordinating but not matching ties

Navy blue bridesmaid dress with what color suit?

My BM's will be wearing a Bill Levkoff long navy blue dress. My initial thought was to do tan suits (the wedding is in March..outside ceremony in the hotel courtyard and the reception inside the ballroom). I just started the search for a tan suit and I am not loving the options. I don't really want to do gray, so my question is, would black suits be okay? The ceremony is at 4:30pm. I want it look classy and romantic.

Ok so I have my bridal gown that I am so in love with BUT I am concerned that I will not be able to dance that well in it and I love to dance. It's a drop waist gown so it hugs my hips and rear and shows off my curves but since its snug I worry about the dancing. So I was thinking of getting a reception dress something pretty and elegant maybe something that reflects my theme which is 1920s, so maybe flapper inspired? but nothing crazy expensive. Is that silly? Should I get a dress for my rehearsal and wear it again as my reception dress or is that tacky? Or forget about the second dress all together and just get used to my gown? And if I were to get another dress when would I change into it? Looking forward to some input it's much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have 2 bridesmaids that have not ordered their dresses yet. I'm freaking out because it's less than 3 months until the wedding so I'm pretty positive they won't arrive in time. Leaving them out isn't an option. I'm searching the internet for the exact dresses but if I can't find them what are my other options? Any thoughts or experiences are welcome. My wedding is 14 months away however I don't think pink shoes are going to be easy to find. Any idea of where I can get them or where they can rent their tux that will supply them...
