Is there anyway to order a wedding dress in 2 months?

I'm getting married in early October and I don't have a dress yet.

Feel free to chastise me now.

I've been through 4 shopping sessions so far and haven't liked anything I've seen on the rack.

To make matters worse, I am a hard size to fit with sample dresses as I wear a street size 00. Many just can't be altered small enough.

I've been exploring used dresses, and I am not opposed to them. My budget is generous. $3000 and down.

But, I am not seeing any dresses I am interested in, since I prefer dresses that aren't sleeveless. They also can't be backless or have satin.

Is there anyway I can still order something?

I am ready to loose all my deposits and postpone the wedding at this point because I cannot find a dress I like.

I am not comfortable spending money on a dress I don't like.

Please help, any suggestions are welcome.

Firstly, I'm having a destination wedding.. In vegas to be exact... I'm having the most difficult time deciding how to get my dress there on time.... And i only have 3 weeks until the big day... Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.I did plan on carrying the dress with me on the plane, but im not altogether sure on how to go about it... Also, I got my shoes in the mail the other day. They are only 3.75 in., but the heel is so flimsy I cant even walk.. And I have many other heels the same height.... Ive been 'practicing' with them almost daily, but to no avail... Let's just say that now I'm stressing out majorly..

I found and purchased a dress that I really like - awesome, right? Well, except today I went over to my mom's to try it on with a few different bras, thinking that because it has wide straps, I'd have my pick of pretty lovely bras to wear with it. I was so wrong. So, so so wrong. The back is a low V, lower than I thought, and I need some sort of bust support that starts one vertebra/about 1" below where every single one of my bra bands end. Complicating this significantly is my bra size - 28G/30FF. Braless is not an option, and those sticky bras would probably be worse than braless. I don't know if it would be possible to put supportive enough cups into the dress, which is chiffon and doesn't have much in the way of structure beyond princess seams.

1. Is my assumption about putting cups in wrong?

2. Is it possible to alter a bustier/basque to lower the back?

3. Is there the Holy Grail of bras out there - a bra with a low back and a relatively short (~2" or less) gore in a 28G/30FF?

Ladies,

I know there are more of your out there.. I have wide width feet - i.e. 'D' width. Most women's shoes come in A/B widths... sometimes C widths... but NEVER D... believe me I have looked.

I love all the beautiful SJP, Mischka Badgley, Jimmy Choo, Ivanka Trump shoes I see online at Nordstrum and they just don't fit.

Any other wide foot brides find options out there?

** I am 100% opposed to flip-flops...

Just a little bummed as I see all these beautiful wedding shoe pictures and it just isn't working... at any budget.. :S

Brand new w/ tags still attached. White chiffon dress. The wide set straps help to narrow the shoulders, while the sweetheart neckline emphasizes the empire waist band and it's sparkling details. The remainder of the dress features rushing and an A-line silhouette. It's a size 6, but runs a tiny bit small.

I have 8 ladies with very different bodies and modesty preferences, spread out over various states and three different continents. I'm thinking about just telling them all to get a floor-length Alfred Sung in Coastal and call it a day. They seem to have a lot of options and can be found pretty easily online.

My FI and I have just booked our venue for the 11th of December 2015, and giving wear we live, it will probably be very snowy at that time of year, so it will be very wintery looking. We've already decided our colours are going to be royal blue, bright yellow and white, and I really really want to wear a bright, sunshine yellow wedding dress, but my mother and sister think it's ridiculous, and says I should just wear white, given the time of year. I desperately want to wear yellow, but it means a lot to me that I wear a dress that my mother likes and she wants to pay for it. Should I just white white, or wear yellow and run the risk of having to pay for it myself (which isn't actually a problem) and having my mother hate it?

When I tried on my dress the consultant couldn't find the actual sash that comes with the dress right away so I tried it on with a different one (just to get the idea)...turns out it was a happy accident because once she found the one that actually went with the dress I liked the other one better. I couldn't switch out the one it came with so I had to pay $200 for it but the dress is coming with the original as well. I might sell it to make up for the extra money I spent. Or should I take the consultants advice and use it somewhere else like around my flowers? What would you do??

I've fallen in love with Claire Pettibone's "Flora" dress, but I am unable to find it anywhere! I've looked for used dresses on every site I can find (Tradesy, OnceWed, and PreownedWeddingDresses among others) and cannot find anything. I'd love to buy the dress but can't afford the price to buy it new, so used or a replica is likely my only option (and I really don't want to buy a replica... The ones I've seen are just not good quality at all.).

If anyone has or knows someone who has one that would be willing to sell it I'd love to contact them!

Or if you have suggestions for a lookalike dress I'm open to suggestions!

I found the dress I want on preownedweddingdresses.com. It is a size too big, but $450 less than what the dress retails for. I would have needed the one in my size taken in a little bit anyways. Should I pull the trigger? (I'm terrible at making decisions.)

This may seem a strange one, so any assistance is appreciated: I'm looking to buy a dress for my future step daughter for our Oct wedding. She turned 9 in May. Im having a few issues with this atm.

2 of the 3 shops that sell flower girl/party dresses only sell them from Jan-June...so the dress I was hoping to choose will be unavailable soon. (I have no idea why this is...)

Her and her mother are away until E goes back to school so Im limited as to when and what I can buy her.

Should I pick up the dress that caught my eye now in a bigger size? (Its pink with a tulle skirt) or should I wait and hope we can find something closer to the date?

Yellow Bridesmaid Dresses - help!

Hi everyone,

I went shopping for the first time with my bridesmaids, and I really feel like I would benefit from a little advice/guidance!

We're getting married in May in Punta Cana, so it'll definitely be hot, and our wedding is going to be in the garden gazebo (I didn't want to be too typical with a beach wedding just because it's Destination). The only thing that I'm really set on is that the girls will wear a light yellow, but I'm struggling to find nice dresses that any of us really love. I'm open to all patterns, lengths, etc. I've been to 2 other weddings so far this year and each time the girls were wearing long chiffon dresses, so I'm hoping for something a little, DIFFERENT but still elegant. I'm drawn to lace, but many designers don't have yellow, or it's more of a mustard colour.

Any suggestions? I'm definitely overwhelmed!

Okay, I'm having the hardest time on deciding on dresses for my bridesmaids. I'm having a March 14th wedding, the ceremony will start around 4 or 5. My dress is ivory and the bridesmaids dress will be dahlia (a shade of purple)& floor length. Now the dilemma, is chiffon or matte satin better for a spring wedding or does it even matter? We're going for a elegant vibe for the night which is why I think the satin will fit better but I feel like chiffon will look more flattering for the ladies. I have so many pros & cons idk what to do. I would love your opinions!

My fiancé has his heart set on wearing a dark gray/charcoal suit or tux to our wedding which I think will go perfect with my bridesmaids teal dresses. However, my dress is ivory. My question is, will an ivory shirt for him match his charcoal gray suit or will it look dingy? I've seen pictures of the charcoal gray suits but not with an ivory shirt.

I have been overseas for 3 years and just got back. I just purchased my wedding dress with my wedding only 2 weeks away. I needed a bolero jacket to complete the look. The store had one jacket in my size that fit perfect and looked good but I noticed that it was ivory and my dress is soft white. The sales associate told me it is better to mix the two colors and that is done all the time. She also talked me into ivory shoes which I really wanted the white ones. Am I crazy or is she right? I can notice the different colors in the mirror. Doesn't look bad but should it perfectly match?

I have one female BM and one male brides man in my wedding party. He's wearing the same as the grooms men (ivory vests and viola ties). My female BM couldn't find a dress in her size that matched the men's ties exactly, and now it's too late to order one made. She found a dress that fit her, but the shade is off. Not by much, but it's a more reddish violet as opposed to the bluer viola of the men's ties. By the way, my dress is ivory with a bright red train. She'll be standing between me (in ivory and red) and my male brides man in the viola ties. Do you ladies think it will look okay of the purples are off?

National Chain Tux/Suit Rental

I'm looking for a national chain in the US that offers tuxedo (or suit) rentals. So far, the only one I know of is Men's Warehouse, but they are a little pricy for us. The groomsmen live along the east coast of the US in different states, so a national chain would be great, so they can get measured at their local store. Any suggestions? Thank you so much!
