We are looking for something in the South West Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. We really want something different, not just a banquet hall (more me than anything haha). I would really like something outdoors, if you have any suggestions please help!! We are looking to have about 120 guests.

Hi all-
FI and I are in the very early stages of planning a June-ish wedding for next year. I am of the mind that I'd like to do a small, family wedding in my Aunt & Uncle's backyard, they have a lovely home with a huge yard on a lake. I'm thinking renting a tent, hiring a caterer, going that route, you get the picture. However, as I'm thinking of all the 'moving parts' to this production, I'm getting cold sweats and palpitations over the logistics of it all. I have some very basic questions, and I'd love your input:

Who sets up the tables and chairs?
Who 'sets' the tables and chairs with linens and dishware/glassware/silverware?
Who sets up the chairs and decor for the ceremony?
Who takes care of the audio for our music and singer?
Who decorates the tent?
Who cleans up at the end of the night?
What about trash?

We're trying to decide if we should go the less-expensive route and DIY at my Aunt's, or pay a premium for something at a restaurant or inn. This is a second wedding and we are on a budget, hope that helps.

I've never orchestrated an event like this, so please, be gentle even if some of my questions are basic. Any ideas are welcome!

Thanks.

I am getting married at a Ranch in March and would like to reserve heaters to be on "stand-by" just in case it gets a little chilly. The venue can easily be closed off from the outdoors (it has roll-down sides like a tent), but does not have central heat. Also any suggestions on type of heaters would be great too!

Thanks!

I was thinking of even a vineyard or even a barn..the wedding is going to be very casual and fun. I want to be able to bring in our own vendors and caterer. Does anybody know of anywhere like this? My research just keeps bringing me to places that have outdoor receptions but you have to do the whole wedding package. I appreciate any info!

There's tons of land in the woods, no light from neighbors visible! It was exactly what FI and I wanted and when the friends found out we were thinking of an outdoor venue they insisted! They already have giant banquet tables he made from local trees, amazingly landscaped ponds, and he's a bonsai master so there are tiny trees everywhere. OMG. We're giddy as school girls. We'll probably rent something like a food truck to feed people, and we have friends who are professional DJs with fancy equipment. It will be exactly what we want. I'm SO excited.
Hi all,
It seems we have come to somewhat of a problem regarding the parking for our wedding. We are having the wedding at a cabin that is up a long narrow driveway (that is uphill, I might add). There is really nowhere at the location for guests to park, and the driveway is owned by an elderly lady, and we have been asked to not park along the sides of the driveway.

The owner of the cabin has offered us an area around 1/4 a mile away from the actual location, which is wonderful. However, it is too far to request that guests walk the entire way, especially for those in heels or who are elderly, so we would like to offer some sort of transportation for the guests to get from the parking area to the ceremony and reception site (same location.) At first we'd thought about asking my uncle to drive either a rented or borrowed van to shuttle guests, however decided that he would not be able to enjoy our wedding for having to take so many guests back and forth.

I was just wondering if there is anyone else out there who has had to deal with major wedding parking issues, and through what means you were able to park your guests and transport them to your wedding location. We are on a tight budget, as we are both still in college and paying mostly ourselves with some help from our parents. Any ideas or suggestions?

However, if you wish to plan a civil or religious ceremony, you should at least plan 30 days in advance because you have to book the ministry of faith or the civil governor.

If you wish to have all the civil paperwork prepared in your country, you can just choose to have a religious ceremony and/or a lovely wedding reception.

Remember a wedding in Europe is an exclusive wedding: a combination of tradition and chic lifestyle.

post address: http://wedding-concepts.com/index.php/portugal-as-a-wedding-destination/

Did you rent a dance floor? If so, did it feel sturdy and stable? Or did it feel flimsy and flexible?

Our venue is outdoors, and we'll be renting a dance floor. However, the more I think about it, the more I'm freaking out a little bit about how it's going to feel underfoot with a bunch of adults dancing around on it.

Hello,

I am not a fan of the traditional banquet hall or hotel weddings. I love the tent wedding idea because it's a blank canvas that I can add all my own personal touches. I've been looking all over for outdoor wedding venues that I can set a tent up, maybe rent out a house with a nice size yard. I found a few parks and gardens but none that I can go pass 8:30pm. Do anyone know of any place(s) in New Jersey please HELP!!!!

Thanks
