So my wedding is only 5 weeks away and I have not exactly nailed down my hairstyle. I have decided that I'm going to have a 1/2 up, 1/2 down 'do, probably with some soft curls. I'm not sure exatly how I should secure the top half. Do I use a clear elastic and wrap some hair around it? Should I just use bobby pins? I have a headpiece that sits right in front of my veil, so I think it'd be weird to use a barrett (plus, my hair can never hold them). My sister is doing my hair, but lives across the country, so I won't really be able to figure out my hair until about 4 days before the big day. Any ideas?

Hello!
So my wedding is a little over 3 months away and I've been growing out my hair. It comes to about middle of my chest. Should I get an inch trimmed off?
The hairstyle I think I am going with is just half up/half down with loose hippy curls. The problem is I don't want to loose the length but I do have split ends since I do straighten my hair on a daily basis. They are not noticeable with some frizz control.
My hair has not been cut in a year. I had it cut short and then wanted to grow it out. It no longer has layers either. Should I get a trim and add in some long layers or since my hair will be wavy curls it won't make a difference?
Thanks guys!

This is basically my trial run before the wedding.

Hairstylist is charging 40-45. I always thought we were suppose to tip.

MUA- charging $50 for trial, $75 for wedding day, and $35 for additional attendants. She works on her own..coming to my house.

I've only had my makeup done by people in the mall like clinique which didnt really charge anything so I always tipped. But anyway I don't want to stiff anybody nor do I want to overpay people when its not necessary.

Hello! I just booked my hair appointment and also tentatively scheduled make up with it too for the day of my wedding. I say tentatively because usually I do not wear any make up. Make up has never sat well with my skin (rashes, acne, general redness) and even mascara irratates my eyes after a couple hours (although I recently found one that seems to be OK if I wear it for a full day).

I figured that when I go in for my hair trial I'll also try make up, but I was wondering if anyone else is in a similar position or had any suggestions. I'm fair and have blue eyes, if that info helps. Any tips or things that worked (or didn't!) for you would be appreciated. Thanks!

I need help. I'm unsure what to do for wedding day make up. Regular make-up usually doesn't stay too long on me. My job isn't that stressful and I'm not touching my face often enough to be having this problem. On a good day, I'm lucky if after 4 hours it still looks like I have make- up on.
I recently got the very excited phone call from a someone telling me that she was engaged. What followed was her TELLING me that I was going to be a bridesmaid, what color I had to die my hair for the wedding, and several other things that I was not very happy to be told.

Two days later, I received a phone call asking me if and when I was going to have a baby and her telling me that I had to make sure that it did not interfere with her wedding.

The first day I was hoping that she was excited and that she would lay off some of the demands. The pregnancy comment sent me a little over the edge.

Without giving too much detail so that no one recognizes her here, I cannot just refuse to be a bridesmaid. However I am considering being 9 months pregnant so I don't have to deal with the wedding. How do I tell her to calm down and stop making demands? Two of us are already about to explode over this.

Hi everyone,
I went the other day looking to invest in some new makeup for my wedding and had my makeup done at Sephora. I actually saw an earlier post with someone that had a similar experience that I did. I usually don't wear any foundation and I tried the smashbox primer with Makeup Forever - looked great from far away and i'm sure would be great in pics but just up close looked sooo "make-upy" and was not a fan.

On top of this about 5 hours after wearing it I started to get itchy - the next morning I washed my face a 2nd time (1st before bed of course) and my skin was still itchy and a little red but I was fine by the afternoon. Does this sound like I had some reaction to the primer or foundation formula or could it just be that I generally don't wear anything except for a moisturizer and it dried out my skin?

Anyway I would love any suggestions for a long lasting foundation that does not look very "make-upy" - I guess I only need light-medium coverage to even out my skin tone.

So, I want to get a Brazilian for the wedding/honeymoon and I've never had one before. All the things I've read say to get one 6 weeks in advance so you know how your skin reacts and then get another before the wedding, but that poses a problem.

I am 4 weeks away from my wedding.

If I got one a week before the wedding would that give my skin enough time to calm down?

Looking into purchasing this.
I've looked on Amazon and it's about $100 - I have a couple of questions though before I buy something this expensive!

1) Do you have to replace the end piece (the brush cleaner piece) ? If so, how often and how much does that cost you?

2) Can you explain to me how you use it?

3) I've read that Murad cleanser is good and Cetaphil - can you use ANY facial cleaner with it?

I've also read that the Olay one is just as good! (It's only about $30)

I'd love to hear your alls thoughts! I used to have super bad acne & it's gotten better, but I still have breakouts more often than I would like to.
