Hey ladies! Lets get to know eachother!! List one WR thing you have checked off your list and one NWR!

WR--I was excited to find someone on my local board that was selling her burlap table runners an a few rustic crates that I am going to incorporate to the candy buffet. So we took a ride to pick them up. I also had three 50% off one regular item at MIchael's so my mom ,sister ,and I went to purchase some tall candy buffet containers and got them at really great prices as these tend to be more pricey.

NWR-I have this horrible cold, so other then getting some wedding items which got me excited to get off the couch, we laid low this weekend. I watched the movie called "Something Borrowed" and I loved it, total chick flick as FI did not really enjoy it :):)

The next two Saturdays I have meets with the two venues we are looking at, and the following two Sundays I am going to Bridal shows. This is SO exciting, since I've been engaged for almost 2 years (Feb 19), I've been gathering ideas for 2 years, and all of a sudden I'm able to OFFICIALLY start planning. Just wanted to share my excitement on here since I don't want to annoy all my friends who are not in the middle of wedding fever =]

i cant wait to go on the honeymoon but not sure where to go. im from toronto...im even thinking of going somewhere in the usa....like a vegas/san fran/hollywood trip....or wondering if i should just do a beach all inclusive...what are your ideas? have you planned where you want to go?

DIY projects

Hi everyone--
I just wanted to see what everyone is planning on "tackling" for any DIY projects. I often run through my list and get overwhelmed! Everyone keeps on telling me to get started now so I don't get overwhelmed, which is probably right and a good idea since we are still a lil over a year out, but that year mark is slowly creaping up on us!
So far on my list--
Burlap table runners
Table numbers (i have already played around)
Save the dates (one of my bms dad is a graphic designer--but they will require some assembling)
Invites
Candy buffet (pricing out and purchasing candy, decorating and labeling the candy containers etc)
mason jars (decorating them of some sort for centerpieces to tie in our rustic chic theme)
personalized hangers and wine glasses for bm's

I think that is it right now-- but so many ideas always pop into my head!

Dress help? Cant decide!

Hello April Brides!!

I went dress shopping this weekend and **think** I found the one. I originally envisioned a very simple dress as my church and venue are quite grand but when I went shopping I found something different. So my question is.... do you girls think this dress is too much for an April wedding? I'm worried it might be too over the top! Any advice would be great!

We took our engagement pictures yesterday and now I'm patiently..ok maybe not so patiently...waiting to hear from our photographer/friend when we can see them!!!!!!! and while we were taking them it totally dawned on me that we are actually getting married!!!

SO! I am incredibly overwhelmed, I went to Hobby Lobby today to buy some Canvas for Jeremy and I to create a new livingroom piece of art <3

I was just browsing and ended up buying some paper for our invitations, and 10 yards to gray ribbon (1.5") and blue ribbon (1.5") and then I walked down the flower aisle. I am choosing to do fake flowers to cut down the cost and to be able to keep my bouquet forever!!

Anyway, I am thinking white gerber daisies and tulips for the bridesmaids then in the Gerber daisy I would get large(ish) blue gems to glue press into the middle and then for me I want White Roses and Calla Lillies!

I am just worried that it is going to be too bland, I really like the clean look of all white I just want everything to be perfect.... I stress out about the stupidest things so I just wanted to see what all of you thought of the idea! Lemme know!!

Hello all...I was planning an August 2012 wedding but we decided to make it spring instead of Summer. I am planning from abroad in Germany, having the wedding in FL. The extra time will help out a lot to enjoy the process and not stress so much, also allowing our friends and family more time as most everyone will be traveling for the wedding. Considering I was already planning for an Aug wedding next year, I do already have my venue, caterer, cake, and decoration ideas picked out! So this is a big help already :) Also, I think a April FL wedding will be a lot nicer than August bc of the heat in August.

Best wishes to all of you fellow April 2013 brides! Does anyone else feel like it is forever away???

I was a bit nervious about picking the 13th, but then i realised

My mom was born on the 13th

We live in unit 13 and have had nothing but luck here.

and i don't give a damn about supersitions.

Plus, the 27th is out, cause we have a long standing commitment on the 28th, the 20th is out since we have too many stoner friends, and it would always be a joke, the 6th is out since it's his uncles birthday.

so the 13th it is!

So we have picked April 13th, but the 13 freaks me out a bit. I am not very superstitous but my mom is. She would never let us have anything 13. She would change airplane seat, hotel rooms, etc. anything if it had the number 13 on it. I think her superstition rubbed off on me a bit.

So my question is: anyone else who has this date feel this way? Are there any American holidays or other interferences in April that I should know of that could affect the date if I pick either the 6th or the 20th? He picked April so the month is set, I just don't know what to do with the date.

Wedding I swear this is the 3rd time I've set my wedding date, but my fiancee swears he's going to stay out of trouble so I don't have to change my wedding again. So now its set at 4/20/13 the 4th anniversary of the night we met. I'm hoping for a wedding on the waterfront right near a spot that is sentimental stuff.
