Aside from buying parents and wedding party gifts, and of course doing the dress thing for me over Memorial weekend, I am done planning this thing.

I hired my DOC on Sunday, and recently paid my DJ and photographer in full. Now I just have to follow my timeline for paying everything else off, which should be done come November.

Luckily I have some DIY projects I started that I can now wrap up to keep me entertained til FI gets home in July.

I contacted a woman that was recommended on my local board for samples. They are awesome! We narrowed it down to 2. We both really love the outside of design 1 but the inside of design 2. Reason being, the card stock on the ribbon side on design 1 is held in by only that ribbon. So, a little shake and they both fall out. When we get invites we'll usually put them on the fridge and my thoughts were that people will lose the information. 
I want to suggest the changes to her but I don't want to insult her creativity. They really are amazing invitations. It's a tough decision.

recently on my local nest board they were asking when people bought their dress/how far out, etc. LOTS of girls were 15-12 months out!!!! That seems SO soon to me :-/ My close friend also recommended shopping soon as it could take anywhere from 6-9 months for your dress to come in.....

My Fi and I are typically play it by ear people. we don't plan a whole lot and never plan anything so far in advance. But obviously our wedding would be different. but i'm explaining that because this is sorta out of our comfort zone, ya know?

So what's your plans on dress shopping?!

We went to Davids and the salesperson said that we were the best and easiest bridal party that she has seen in her 10 years of bridal sales. My girls went in, immediately found a dress that they agreed to try on....tried it on...and they all fell in love with the gown...they looked fabulous! (And they are all completely different in size and shape...yet it looked great on all of them)

Success with the first dress!!!!!

Not to mention that they all purchased them on the spot...so i dont have to worry about anyone slacking with ordering or anything.

Our wedding will be very wintery - Im using crystalized branches for centerpieces, lots of white twinkle lights, etc. Our main color will be a pewter/charcoal color!
