Had the final meeting with the dj and got a finalization check! Wooo.

Anyway, the dj made me drop my jaw. I utterly forgotten this. I put down a deposit to secure my date, well he informed me I'm getting a $500 credit to my all inclusive venue. Yippee!!!

Add on to my cake credit of $200 as I used an outside vendor but technically have to pay out of pocket for. But way cheaper and much more quanity for what I was quoted.

I cannot wait till I can get these 12 people I'm getting ready to hunt down and find out yay or nay so I can get that finalized before the final venue meeting the 12th.

Credits! It's like tax returns!!!

Hey everyone,

So my RSVP deadline was July 1st. I'm still waiting on now 9 people. Out of them a family of 7. They are FI's family. I logged on his facebook to see if he received any messages and I found a posting from 1 on her wall. She just had a baby mid June and the new momma is ill and still in the hospital from an undiagnosed illness.

I cannot be rude and message her at this time to find out if the family is coming. I don't want to assume either. FI doesn't have phone numbers for this group. I can have him contact his other half sister to call the half sister mother of this clan, but again with what is going on, I am not clear on how it should be done.

I need to know my final numbers so I can contact the venue and get my end balance and pay off. My final appointment and payment is due July 12th. Also note, I need bank check for final balance due, so I need that total a day prior to ensure correct $ amount.

If this didn't effect $ totals, I would just say scrub it. I am at 120 right now. My inclusive is based on 125. If they all showed, I bump to 130 and will have to tag on another $500 to my current balance.

What would you do in this scenario?

I haven't been sleeping well, having trouble eating and just absolutely sick with worry about my fitting that was last night..... well now I am RELIEVED. The seamstress at Alfred Angelo did an INCREDIBLE job -removed the train, changed the zipper back to a corset and pulled in the top. I was SO happy. She still has a little more work to do and needs to add a panel behind the laces on the corset and finish the hem- but wow - the relief I felt and feel right now after a good night's sleep is just incredible! Only have 2 pics - and the one -I'm directly under a spotlight or something...

So, FI doesn't use his fb. I log on and play games and if family messages I tell him so he can respond.

Well I logged in just now and found a message invite from a "friend" to him and 12 others, from the momma to be saying she is having a baby shower and these 12 people are invited. Proceeds more into how she is eco-friendly and prefers gifts of that nature. I ignored the first message and now there is a follow up "I need to know if you are coming or not to tell my BSplanner." (At 6am, I read that as Bull poop and gave myself a giggle)

So tacky. I know FI wouldn't go even if he had the day off.

Now it is my turn to gripe about doing seating...

We are having 100 guests but the tables will not be even. Oh, well...We are having 12 tables plus a head table which will sit us with our BM and MOH. In front of us will be 4 tables and then the dance floor. There will be an additional 4 tables on opposite sides of the dance floor (so that basically 3 sides have 4 tables each, with the 4th side sitting the band). My question is how do you decide who sits where?! Are you supposed to sit your BP in front of you, or parent/family tables? I feel like whoever we put in front of us should be like the VIP tables...I KNOW I am overthinking this but wondering if there is some sort of rule of thumb to follow...thanks!

We're officially legal to get married after 72 hours. That's pretty exciting! We're going to get our floating lanterns tonight and we're going to get the rest of our fireworks after the 4th to score the biggest deal. It's all starting to fall into place. I had my final fitting last Saturday and it went great! Besides the fact that FSIL talked about herself and her issues at work the entire time (nothing new btw, she always has drama going on at work) making everyone ignore me and the whole ordeal. Whatever. I looked awesome anyway! ;-) She has better pics on her phone but is taking forever to send them to me, so here are the best I have!

I didn't post when I got my veil in because I didn't have a pic but I was sooo excited! I got it from Gingerweddings and it's perfect!! Thanks Butterfly!! Or Bride! So sorry, I mentioned it in the PIP thread but I always get you two mixed up. I'm probably the only person who confuses your avatars cuz they're both pastel-y colors haha. Anyway, love it thanks for the tip!!! :)

And I got my haircomb today!! It was coming from Singapore (gotta love Etsy's cheap intl shipping!!) and I was already preparing myself to not get it in time for my hair trial this Friday. But it's here and I love it!

My face looks funny as I'm anxiously waiting to see what it looks like on. FI was taking a pic for me and I was afraid it looked smaller than I wanted. But it's the perfect size and I'm sooo excited! :) Now I just can't wait til my H&MU trial this Friday!!

It's probably premature for this, but do you have any vendors who have really impressed you or have gone above and beyond while wedding planning so far?

For me, it's a toss up between:

Invites - Cards & Pockets
My hotel contact/hotel in general - Bridgewater Marriott
Travel Agent - myvacationlady.com

These 3 have really made my life so much easier this past year and a half. Hopefully I can add my venue to this list after the wedding...... :)

I had my shower this weekend and it went great. My MOH did such a good job. She threw an afternoon tea party at a local golf course. It was a beautiful day! Now I am so excited for the big day to come :)

I'm pissed! I'm prone to getting huge disgusting pimples before my period so they're hormonal and there's nothing I can do about it. I haven't gotten one in MONTHS and I've been paranoid about getting one before the wedding because since they're usually so massive, I'm stuck with a dark mark for about 3 more months. Lo and behold, this month I get one. Thanks hormones, love ya too.

If there's anything lucky about this whole thing, it's smaller than usual. And on my chin instead of dead right in the middle of my face where it usually is. I'm not freaking out about it cuz I know it will have died by the time the wedding comes.. I'm just pissed! I'm hoping my MUA has some awesome concealer because I'm going to need it. My appointment is this Friday so she'll also to be a good luck at the son of a b!tch and get an idea of what she'll need to do to cover up the left over mark.

Anyone else get as unlucky as me? :(

If someone at work is out sick or has a family member pass away, our admin assistant normally will send out an email and include the person's home address so that people could send cards to them if they'd like.

Is it weird that when this happens, I always pull up a google street view of the address so I can be nosy and see what their house looks like???

We are having a photo booth and now I need to decide on the layout. Our colors are purple and apricot so that will be incorporated. I was very anti having our names on the photo and was considering just the wedding date. Our vendor sent us a couple of samples that included our names. Is it tacky to have names or even the date on it or would it be better to have nothing wedding-related and just have the backdrop be our colors? I've only seen one photo booth in person at a wedding and they just had strip photos and one 4x6 given to guests, no color or wording. I went to a sweet 16 that said "Sweet 16" kids name and birthdate. FI has no opinion so hoping you guys can advise!

I'm trying to write the welcome letter to go in the OOT bags. The letter will include a timeline of the weekend and lists of where to eat and stuff to do for people coming in early. It will also tell them to join us in the suite for snacks, cake, games, and general hanging out. The bag will also have snacks and other stuff. I need a short note to put at the begining and I can't think of anything to say that doesn't come off as a form letter. Help!

Had such a great bridal shower!!! I am so thankful to have all my friends and family in my life. We got lots of cool gifts and $ that will help with the wedding and our honeymoon. One of my bridesmaids emailed me in the morning that she wouldnt be able to make it because she had the stomach flu, 5 of FI family members were sick too! I said stay clear from me! Thats the last thing I want! But I had 1 person no show and was going to never tell me. My step mother! WTF? An hour after the party started I had my sister send her a texts asking if she was coming? She responded to her and said no that someone called into work and my dad had to cover so she had to watch my little brother. Still no word from her personally. No email, phone call, fb. Nothing.. Its really odd because she is very "family is the most important" kind of person.

Here are a few photos from my final dress fitting. My mom absolutely sucks at photos so I'm sorry that the dress wasn't laying properly in the bustled one and I'm also sorry that she didn't tell me when she was taking the photo because I would have smiled in the far away ones.

Anyway, Butterfly, I know you were interested in seeing how she did the sweetheart. It was actually a bit MORE of a sweetheart than I originally wanted, but I think it looks good.

I'm a July 28th bride and I feel like the wedding is going to be here in no time! I cannot wait to marry my bestfriend

I have yet to buy or fill out my escort cards but I did just finish my seating chart last night (thank god). Wednesday i'm buying all my centerpeices items and then i'll be able to start getting those together. Other then that, I just have to fill my favors with the mints.
