So I came across this program, and totally fell in love! It's not exactly in line with the concept of what I've done so far (as paper goes), but its sleek and modern, which is what I am ultimately trying to achieve. Here is the inspiration:

Here is the mockup I did.
FI and I went to a wedding near the U of MN campus yesterday (so I took today off for the heck of it thinking we'd be out late).

Today we went and booked our limo! Our BP will have 9 people (including my personal attendant) and I didn't want to get a 10 passenger car and be squished. Prior to the visit I was email quoted the same price including tax & gratuity for a 12 passenger car, a 12 passenger Ford Expedition or a 16 passenger luxury coach bus.

We went with the coach bus because it is designed like a limo on the inside and you can see everyone in the vehicle, not just sitting in a straight line having to crane your neck.

The other thing I got done today was buy sheet music for "Bless the Broken Road" which our soloist will perform. My brother is the pianist so I bought 2 copies and mailed one to him today!

So here lately I have been searching for a design for our invites. We are doing the pocket fold type invitations. When it comes to the enclosures I can only think of 2 things to put in there which is the RSVP card with the envelope and a directions card that will also have a map on it. What else can I add? We don't have any out of town guest except 2 which is FI sister and husband so we don't have a hotel block. Any ideas?

I'm hoping to become more regular with my posting again. I've been swamped with work stuff, but am starting to see the light again.
We're back on planning and today we paid off the DJ, photobooth, and paid a chunk on the Photographer, as well as bought/paid for P's ring. We also got more supplies we need (almost everything, actually) for our popcorn bar.

On top of that, Patrick received a job offer which he was looking forward to getting, however the pay is less than he was expecting it to be and he had another opportunity related to going back to school come up, which seems to be a better fit. He's doing well with his transition and only has 9 days until he's officially retired. I've loved having him here with me each day, but I'm really seeing that he's developing the need for something more (school, hobby, something....) so hopefully he'll find that soon.

My brother and his GF and her 2 kdis came to visit last week and we went to the texas state fair... perfect timing since today Big Tex (the 52 foot icon of the state fair) caught fire and burnt down. Yikes. Got a pic of all 4 kids in front of it though before he was gone. :)

http://distilleryimage7.s3.amazonaws.com/8aab10ea189111e2939222000a1de7b2_7.jpg
Mine are the middle 2 kids.

P's exwife is giving us issues. She split up with her longtime partner/fiancee back in June and started dating some other girl right after. 3 weeks later they got engaged, and now they are etting married 2 weeks before us. Everyone in the family is sure it's a race and is all upset about it. I'm not. I figure if she's this good at racing to the altar, she'll probably be just as good about racing to the divorce lawyer ;)

That about wraps it up in my world. Things are going well and I hope to post some pics here shortly.

Hope you all are doing well and I'm about to dive into the boards and catch up on everyones stuff. LOL

Okay! I'm in a bit of a bind & freaking out. Last night, FI & I went to look @ a SUV limo & put down a $200.00 deposit but didn't sign a contract. The lady said she would send me it today/tomorrow for us to sign & then send back. This morning, I looked up a limo company that offers a better deal on a limo bus. Now, I might be interested in going with the limo bus company over the one we saw last night. Can they cash our deposit even though we didn't sign a contract? Technically they have a $200.00 cheque from us for just looking at their limo last night (I saw her write out a contract but again we didn't sign it). I just need a couple opinions to see if I have to stick with the company we saw last night? Or will they cash our cheque if we decide to not go with them & didn't sign anything??

so i know its a little early but im just looking into invitations. at first i couldn't find anything i like but then while i was at davids bridal picking up the BM's dresses i found this and fell in LOVE. the BMs agreed but my mother made a comment its not formal enough for a wedding. is this true? my BMs are wearing lapis and our ceremony is outside on a stone garden patio overlooking a fountain lake so i like thst it goes with the colors and the "secret garden" concept...opinions please :-D

So after the initial shock and fear passed, I started feeling a little better. There are no major changes coming at least for the next 9 months or so, which will definitely get us through the wedding and then some. Because I am in a Sales Position, any future changes will most likely be production based and Im doing good there, exceeding goals and all. My manager also said she would work with us to develop a plan that will prove to be successful next year.

In the meantime, I will have a chance to start looking for other opportunities more agressively. The good enws is that we are continuing to save money while I am still here. We are going to hold off on booking honeymoon plans for the next month or so, and I think at this point we are still thinking Europe in May. We might just hold off on some household upgrades we were planning on doing that and reserving those funds instead.

So I just wanted to update you all. Its been a tough week and Im looking forward to getting back inspired with wedding plans again next week.

Just curious if there's anyone else & maybe we could start a weekly board in regards to our lost (& gained) pounds?

So it's not like I've rushed from one marriage to another.

Do you think some of FI's guests that don't know me yet will judge when they find out it's my second wedding?

FI doesn't judge me, neither do his parents or sister, my parents knew I was in a bad relationship before I did. I guess I don't know why I am paranoid.
