Hi Ladies! I finished Pre-Cana this weekend so thought I'd post about it. The experience was good although I didn't get as much out of it since I've been living with my FI for four years. The main point of it was to get couples to chat about finances, children, etc. I thought they were going to ask about our beliefs, involvment in the church, or even about living together but they didn't. The only religious parts were a few prayers that were said, the theology of marriage, and that was about it. The thing I found most surprising was they had a "happy hour" with beer, wine, and snacks the night before. I did like that because we got to know the other couples and it made the next day less awkward. Has anyone else been to Pre-Cana yet?

Check - Uplights!

I found my uplights! I was originally quoted $350 for 6 uplights. While surfing the net I found diyuplighting.com and I can rent lights for $19/light. That means for $350 I can get 18 lights! Jackpot! Only thing is they have to be packed up and sent back via UPS the Monday after your event. Me and FI will be on our honeymoon, so we're gonna ask my mom to take care of that little detail. I'm excited about that because that was one of the main special items I wanted! I'm planning on 20 lights for $380. Best thing about it, they hold your lights for only $25 deposit. Can't get any better than that! =)

So, FI got my ring from a very reputable and well known local jeweler. We've been engaged since May of 2010 and in the past few months, my diamonds keep getting loose- especially my center one.

Thanks to my jeweler's lifetime warranty that covers pretty much everything, FI and I haven't had to pay a dime and they've redipped my ring every time. I had to have my ring sent out again since my center diamond was loose, again. They think I might have to have a new setting- and I won't have to pay for it.

That lifetime warranty is saving us right now :-)

Hi Ladies!

I went dress shopping this last weekend and ALMOST said yes to the dress! I tried on some dresses at David's Bridal, and finally put on one of their Vera Wang dresses and it was so perfect, I loved it. I can't stop thinking about this dress; I think it may be the one!

The one caveat: it's at the very top of our dress budget. Not out of the budget (never try on a dress that's out of the budget!), but I was wondering if anyone knew if those dresses ever went on sale. I know about their famous "99 dollar dress sale", but I don't think one of these dresses would be included. Sometimes they mark down all the dresses in the store though, and even a few hundred bucks would be awesome.

If it doesn't go on sale, I might just buy it full price - I love it that much. However, if there's an opportunity to save some moolah, I'll take it!

Just wondering. Thanks for any advice!

I got my Will you be my MOH and BM's cards in the mail on Friday and I LOVE them. I ordered them from seller off of Etsy. I will also give each girl their favorite bottle of wine too.

And onto the venue situation...

We have decided that we are going to get a new venue so we began the search yesterday by going to look at a potential venue. Well the outside of the venue was PERFECT!!!! for our Southern Country Chic theme... But the inside of the house was kinda small for what we were expecting. We have looked at few venues for our wedding and NEVER I mean ever has a vendor told us other venues for cheaper options. She had no clue of our budget and she kept saying you can do this for so much less this way. We got kinda got the feeling that she didn't want us to book our wedding at that venue. So now we are continuing our venue search.

So I went to the dermatologist today...first time ever going to just get checked out. I ended up having 2 biopsies done of 2 moles, one on my thigh and one on my arm/shoulder area. Have any of ladies ever had to have this done? And if so, how long afterwards was it sore? Mine are pretty sore and I just want to know if it's going to ruin my weekend. =)

Have you guys figured out/asked your BM/MOH yet? I want to figure that out, but FI is resiting figuring out his side. I know I will have my sister and his sister, then depending on his numbers I want some of my friends. He doesn't like "ranking" his friends ot figure out Best man, ect. Anyway, when did you girls start doing this stuff?

We just figured out place and date in the last two weeks, so most of the planning is just getting started.

So it looks like I have my photographer!!!! He is emailing me the contract and I'm making the deposit tonight I'm super excited he's the one I wanted from the beginning and he couldn't lower his prices but he totally made the deal sweeter I couldn't pass it up! After talking with my FI and dad and since were not doing the videographer were splurging!!!!

I'm sooo excited!!!!
