Here's a thing. My maid of honor is sort of a Tomboy, I've never ever seen her wear dresses. She said she doesn't mind wearing it on my wedding day, but I know that's also because she doesn't want to "announced" that she's tomboyish. I partly understand, but I also want her to be more comfortable, be herself.
well..any suggestion for a proper bridesmaid "dress" for a short-hair, fun, humorous tomboyish gal?

So I mentioned a few months back that I had purchased a Groupon for a Boudoir photo shoot, that I was going to use for FI's wedding gift. Well, I had my shoot yesterday!!
It was such an amazing experience and I couldn't be happier with how everything went! My photographer was awesome, and she made me feel so comfortable and safe that I had absolutely no problems stripping down to my undies for her and the camera! I went in completely nervous and not knowing what to expect, that I almost cancelled my session a few times. But I'm so glad I didn't .
Also, I recently lost 25 lbs, so I'm still in that stage where I don't feel like I lost the weight and am uncomfortable with myself. But after seeing the pictures, I have gained so much more confidence. The photographer made me look so good!
If anyone is interested/thinking about doing this for their FI, I highly recommend absolutely doing it! If you're in the NYC/tri-state area, this is the photographer I used, and I can't praise her enough! http://www.boudoirbykoren.com/about-boudoir-photographer.html

She sent me home with a low-resolution CD of all my shots, but I can't wait to get my prints! Now all I have to do is find a way to hide them and keep it a secret from FI until the wedding!

The FI and I had wanted to stay away from Mexico for our HM since I had been quite a few times, but now the prospects of buying a new house has become more important to us than spending a whole lot of money on a HM. We were thinking of skipping one, altogether, but I feel like I would regret that if we did. My parents have a time share at Avalon resorts, one in Isla Mujeres, Mexico and two different resorts in Cancun. Their time share would save us TONS and allow us to afford a honeymoon! We went to the resort last yr in Isla Mujeres so we don't really want to go back there so soon. I've been to Cancun when I was 18 or 19 and I loved it, because mostly everyone there seemed college-age like myself. Im wondering if I'll still enjoy Cancun in my late 20's? I know it has a lot to offer people of all ages, j/w if anyone has been recently and how they liked it?

I just wanted say hi and to pass on a mini list of things that went on at my wedding, along with some wedding porn to go with it. I was married November 11th, 2011 and hang out on the South Florida Board and November 2011 board if you have any questions. Or you can just reply here or send me PM.

Perfume: Estee Lauder, Sensuous.

Lesson learned: Have extra flowers for corsages.
Ok, so I am not a flower person at all and I really don't care too much about centerpieces and such, but I don't want them to be stupid. Right now the plan for the center pieces is to have 14" mirrors with a 7" very simple vase with moss, a cream/ ivory rose (fake)and an ivory floating candle. Then there will be 4-5 red volives arounf the vase. The venue has very soft light that is a lot like candle light. I was thinking that this will be enough because the mirrors will make it appear bigger and create dimension. But, I am reading stuff online and seeing tv shows that say with a 60" round table the centerpieces are tall, or short and big. The table setting is just the silverware and a napkin with a water glass. I was also thinking about using some sort of classy confetti on the table if need be. Our theme is music, so maybe music notes as confetti. What do you all think. A) will these be too small? B) is confetti stupid?

I am looking around for ideas and figured you girls are so good at giving advice or good ideas, or anything that I would post and see what you guys thought!

My wedding is going to be I guess what most people would call "redneck" but formal! My FI and I are HUGE outdoors people and 90% of the year we are wearing our camo, weather we are going out to eat or to church or things like that. So needless to say, our wedding colors are camo and black! (I am very excited) well I was trying to think of center pieces for the longest time, its actually one of the only big details I have left to really figure out! I love the idea of mason jars...

SO after all this my question is, being that we are getting married in fall. Knowing what our colors are (p.s. the flowers are fall colors with orange and cream and such) What do you think would be a good idea to place in the mason jars. If you have any ideas! Please post. Pictures are welcome!!

Thanks Ladies!
