I'm helping my friend plan her wedding and we are looking at the Baseball Theme for it however I find a lot of awesome ideas to use but can't find anywhere to either order or get the supplies. My fiance and I are being married at Citizens Bank Park. It is natural we are both diehard Phillies fans, considering we both grew up around it. I am just begining planning but we have our dates reserved. I'm trying to come up with different ideas for the reception and such. any ideas anyone has would be greatly appreciated!

Help!! My FI and I have fallen in love with the personalized tickets as place cards that we've seen on a lot of the wedding sites. We just can't figure out how to do it! We have a baseball theme and so far everything else is rolling in nicely...we just can't figure out the tickets...any ideas?

Football themed projects - PIP

I thought I would share a couple things that I have incorporated into our wedding for FI and his love of the Chicago Bears and Football in general.

We came up with this for our table numbers. Each table will be named after a different Chicago Bears player:

Our seatching chart is below, don't mind what it says. It was a joke from my brother. He didn't actually make it that and it actually says seating charts. Boys and their humour. lol the names for each table will actually be laid out like the laces of a football. This whole thing was actually my mom's idea. :)

me and my fiance are huge steelers fan and we love our city. our city colors are black and gold. i figured out that i want to have ticket-type invitations. not sure about centerpieces. & when we leave the church after being announced man & wife, i have no idea what i want the guest to do. i don't want rice thrown, or bubbles. i was thinking possible waving terrible towels but idk. i can't have flags thrown or whistles blown because those are not good things lol. our table names are pittsburgh landmark names, we are getting married in church or on roberto clemente bridge, photos at the bridge, mt.washington, heinz field, the casino, on the T (subway). if anyone has any ideas, they're greatly appreciated. thank you.

Hi! FH and I are getting married 01.22.12, so its coming really quick and I'm starting to freak out about all I haven't done. He's a huge Yankees fan; I'm a huge Red Sox fan, so we want to incorporate some baseball touches in our wedding day without butting heads. So our thought was to custom make a baseball jersey in our wedding colors with "Just Married" as the team name on front, and our last name and the #12 for the year on the back where people can sign their well wishes. We will frame it and hang it in our game room.

So problem is that I can't find anywhere online to make this that doesn't require a minimum order, or that will be done in time and not cost a ridiculous amount of money. Has anyone done this before and can suggest some websites? I'd really really appreciate it! Thanks!!

Ticket Escort Cards and Baseball Table Names - Please help

So, Fiance and I are avid baseball fans and spend our summers traveling to baseball parks, so that eventually we can say we watched a game in every stadium. I really want our reception to be a representation of us rather than a standard wedding reception, so we are incorporating little details like having baseball tickets as our escort cards and naming our tables after the ball parks. Our colors are pewter and eggplant and I was thinking of printing black and white pictures of each stadium and placing them into bling frames or something....but I cannot find good pictures for the life of me. Anyone have any ideas of how to present the table names and do you have any idea of how to create ticket stubs using a template? Thanks in advance!

We are doing a more traditional wedding and reception. I plan on doing a groom's cake that is a football field and has Giants(my team) and Jets(his team) on the endzones. I have also decided on doing a Koozie as the favor but am not sure what to have printed on them. I'm not a big fan of putting the bride and groom's name and the date on there but am unsure of what an alternative would be. I'm also trying to think of some other ways to tie football/our teams into the reception without it being overdone.

Military wedding

Okay. I have to admit. Picking a wedding gown was so overwhelming I went with my Army dress white uniform (white military jacket, black full length skirt and gold insignia - I am/was an E 4 honorably discharged). Simple. Elegant and appropriate considering my pride in serving through two wars.

My question is this in case there is a former drill sgt or company commander out there who wishes to help me out.

I know according to military regulations I must wear my hair up. BUT, since no headgear is authorized with this uniform is any type of viel appropriate during the ceremony ?

That is NOT covered under regulations that I can discern. And even as I am no longer active duty nor reserve, I still respect the uniform and the regulations governing the wearing of such. My fiance just looks at me and shakes his head. (I love him though - he puts up with me he HAS to be a saint)

Phillies fans... need help with a drink

My FI and I are huge Phillies fans and therefore are having a Phillies themed wedding using the throwback colors. One of the things I'm having the hardest time with is coming up with our signature drink since we aren't having a full open bar. I thought it would be fitting if we had a drink that was a signature drink for Philly, the Phillies, or baseball but I'm not from Philly and therefore don't know if there's such a thing. Any help you can give me is much appreciated!

My future husband is a huge packers fan, so I've decided to let a little bit of that "packer pride" seep into our wedding. My fiance and I are trying to come up with ideas for our wedding. His best friend just got married and they had a Detroit Tigers themed wedding, my fiance would love to have one too. I want something classic, elegant. I'm trying to come up with ideas that would incorporate both ideas into one theme. I don't want anything that screams "THIS IS A BASEBALL THEMED WEDDING" but touches of a baseball theme would be ok. We're thinking about going with the color scheme of Navy blue and White (the teams home colors). Any ideas are welcome!

FI is an Iowa fan and I'm a Nebraska fan. I grew up in Nebraska but now live in Iowa. I was thinking of having 2 garters one that's Hawkeye colors and one that's Huskers colors since our wedding guests will be about half and half (half from Iowa, half from Nebraska). I found a great site that has both of these.

Should I do 2 garter tosses (one for each team) or just leave it to one garter/toss.

Racing theme

Just curious if anyone else is trying to incorporate racing into their wedding. My fiance is a race car driver...

So far my only thoughts without being tacky is our save the dates and my garder...any other ideas?

I looked into having the reception at the race shop, but they are way to expensive and it will be too cold to have it at the track.

We had our wedding rehearsal a bit ago and EVERYONE was messing up!!! WTF? No one was paying attention except for the hired help and then liz was all like "well at DIANA's wedding..". Dude, its MY wedding and its MY special day and its like everyone is setting out to ruin it!! Willie couldn't even be there so hopefully he will actually remember the 2 things he is supposed to do. ::sigh:: Oh and no one wanted to wear the cute name tags I made for everyone so they could all get to know each-other better. Fine, be awkward for all I care.

I gotta go practice the carriage part in a bit - ugh. How hard can a carriage be to get in and out of - jeez they make such a big out of everything and I wont even be wearing my dress yet so ????. Don't worry they will still find some way to f**k it all up. I mean, hey why can't we just take our time the day of? The whole freakin' WORLD is watching ME surely we can just take a moment and not worry about the stupid clock!?

Ack! Am I over reacting? I just want this to be OVER!!!!
