TGIF!!!

Good morning!  Hopefully the boards will be more active then yesterday!

I've been at work since 6:30am.  Picked the wrong day to wear a heavy sweater and heels!  Busy busy morning, but the afternoon will be slow I'm sure.

No big plans for me this weekend.  Work tomorrow and Dukes game tomorrow night!

TGIF!  Have a great day!

Hey there. TGIF! We're meeting with two realtors tomorrow and picking one to help us find our house after that. I'm SOOO excited. I'm ready to get that whole show on the road! DH is going by the book (literally - that he got in a home buying class) and I'm sure it is all a good diea, but I'm so impatient.

That's really exciting M!  DF and I are trying to sort through home buying for dummies!  Seriously, they need to teach a "Life after College" course.

    I hope everything goes well!

Thanks, Meg. :)   DH took a homebuyers course through PNC so he is in the know. It is good, but it also means that we have to do things in a more thoughtful manner. I'll keep you updated. :)

    Morning!
No school today because of the icy roads this morning-good because I can get some things done-bad because it pushes school back further into June.

My dad is supposed to have knee replacement surgery next week, it's been scheduled for 4 months now, and he's been in a lot of pain.  The doctor called yesterday and told him he has to go to Haiti, so he's cancelling it, and doesn't think he can reschedule until April.  My poor dad-it's really difficult for him to do his job with his knee being like it is, so if you can spare some thoughts for him I'd appreciate it.

    Molly-exciting news about house hunting!

26- Vibes for your dad! Hopefully he can find relief somehow soon!  Is there another doctor that could take him on as a patient?

    Morning!  TGIF indeed.

DH's work shower was super cute yesterday and his coworkers got us the cutest stuff.  Seriously, this child will not need clothes for an entire year.

I'll be pretty busy today and my boss is in the office all day.  I'm approaching 5-ish weeks of work left and starting to feel a little overwhelmed, so I may not be around as much anymore.  I just have so much to do in that amount of time (including finishing a huge web redesign that has had so many issues lately, ugh!) that I really should be spending more time working.  Sucky.  I'll still be around and will check in though...not GBCKing yet!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!  :)

Good Morning! I tried to post this before, but got a "web forum service not available" message, and it didn't let me back on for a while. Anyone else get this?

Anyway, weekend plans are up in the air, since I still don't know any funeral arrangements for my grandfather. I'm kinda on edge- I thought I would have found out last night at least. My dad is calling as early as possible this AM (3 hr. time difference). If I'm around this weekend, plans include maybe meeting Sara for the first time (!), and movie night with friends.

The March for Life is going on in DC today, and it is nutso already. Of course all of the events end at 5- right when I leave. I am dreading the commute home already. Why can't it be on a Sat.?? Sorry if I offend any of you that have participated, I just really don't feel like dealing with the extra people today who are completely ignorant of metro etiquette.

GL with choosing the realtor, M! Smile
Many vibes for your dad, Heather- I hope either they can find another Dr., or fit him in sooner.
Hang in there, KR- hope you can get a lot accomplished in the next few weeks!

KR- Sounds like the work shower was a blast!  I swear, teachers have the BEST baby showers-we go a little nuts around babies:-)
Kim-I hope you find out the arrangements soon so you can plan what you are doing-waiting around is so difficult.

Good morning ladies!  I got to Zumba last night and had a fun admitted students event for one my potential grad school programs.  Getting really excited about that :)

Meg, 6:30?!  Yuck!  Hope the rest of your day flies by.

Molly, that's so exciting!  Good luck finding someone awesome to help you find your house!

Heather, sorry to hear about your dad.  I hope they figure something out to get him in there before April.  Vibes!

TGIF indeed! This has been a very emotional week for me for several reasons I won't get into, and I am looking forward to chilling out a little bit this weekend. I'm back in school and work got really busy this week, so I'm getting hit on all cylinders. Better than being bored, I guess.

Heather, I am so sorry your dad's operation got cancelled. Many vibes that he gets through the pain ok!

    Molly, woohoo for house hunting!

Kim, hope you figure out your plans soon! And not that it really matters too much, but this time of year AZ is only 2 hours behind you. They don't observe daylight savings time.

I thought so! When my dad texted me this morning, he said 3 hours, and I got confused. I hope you have a good, relaxing weekend- sending good vibes your way!

GM all - best Friday ever for me, besides day before the wedding.  We got our wedding proof albums, amazing!!!  Also, we leave at 7:30am to go look at a puppy in Lebanon, see pic below.  He's a schnorkie, which is a designer hybrid of a purebred miniature schnauzer and a yorkshire terrier.  SOOOOO EXCITED!  We would be able to take him home tomorrow.

Heather, vibes for your Dad.  I had to wait quite a bit for my knee replacement and the entire time sucked.  I can't imagine having the surgery postponed.

Molly that's so exciting about finding a realtor.  I am taking Real Estate Transactions this semester in law school, so after that class is over, we're going to start the search.  I hope I can learn from you.

speaking of realtors, allow me to indulge by mentioning some of my own legal knowledge as a WOT -

Don't forget even though you are interviewing realtors, they still work for the seller in that their duty of loyalty is to the seller.  They have to tell any relevant offers/info/basically anything you tell them to the seller.  So don't tell any realtor anything you wouldn't tell the seller, it may come back to haunt you!!

Bri - when we bought our house, our realtor was a buyer's agent.  She didn't have to disclose anything that we said to the seller as she wasn't working for them.

Well I was just repeating what my real estate law professor spent an entire hour on yesterday, that there are no real "buyers" realtors.  Which is totally against common sense.  So maybe he's wrong?  IDK, was just putting a warning out there.
