Jojo, one of my friends is a beekeeper.  He posts the most hilarious updates on FB talking about his bees.  Why?  B/c bee breeds are named things like Italians, Caucasians, etc.  

One post was:  "The Italians have turned on me and have become highly aggressive.  The Caucasians are still playing nice, but I'm going to need to get heavier clothes."  I was seriously blinking and rubbing my eyes for a good minute, but my brain piped up, "Oh wait, he's talking about his bees!  Whew!"

Also, anyone buying out of WS should have a stand mixer, which is WAY easier to make fresh butter in.

Varuna, that was my thought with the butter--I make mine in the mixer because I don't like shaking (although I do hand mason jars w/ clothespins to kids sometimes as a sciencey project

I wnat to keep bees.  I want one of the very gentle varieties like the black velvets.  I've, unfortunately, researched this a bit :-P
