The Muppets Take Manhattan was on TV!

Every since I was a kid this movie ALWAYS makes me cry (happy tears) at the end. I would get so crazy that my parents would have to sneak a channel change because I'd be WAILING. "They're getting MAWWWWWWIEEEEEED!" It's a huge running joke (and I just KNOW we will say it at my wedding!).

I've told my Fi this story, but the movie was on TV yesterday so OF COURSE I had to watch it (texting my mom the whole time!).
And of course, at the end, my Fi had to cuddle my sobbing uncontrollable mess. :)
I love love!

Any movies that always hit you in your sweet spot?

  • Home Alone around the holidays! It is like my personal tradition. I must have watched it about 5 times this last holiday season. Also, Father of the Bride, I love, love, love that movie, plus all the music in it. I watched that movie right after I got engaged again :) My parents had to buy both movies for me because I kept making them rent them for me at the video store.

  • Agree with FOTB. Also, My Best Friend's Wedding was on tv the other night -- one of my all-time faves! Makes me mushy inside every time :)

  • I always get a little teary eyed when I watch Jerry Maguire. Oddly enough it isn't the relationship between Tom Cruise and Rene Zellwigger's characters that get me. It is the relationships between Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding Jr.

Aw yea! I watched that too!

We should totally do a live-chat TV movie watching event on the board. :P
  • That would be awesome! I forgot about My Best Friends Wedding, I love, love, LOVE that movie!

  • That would be hilarious. I don't know if the boards could handle that... haha

  • I adore the A&E version of Pride and Prejudice, all 5.5 hours of it. I always watch it when I'm sick and it makes me feel better. Plus young Colin Firth is dreamy...
