Looking for Illusion Piece for my gown

Hi All!  I'm looking for advice on where I can find just the illusion piece from a David's Bridal gown.  The dress is Vera Wang's Satin Faced Organza, syle number VW351023.  I have a very plain dress and I think this piece would look fantastic with it. Problem is that that I do not want to buy the entire dress, just the illusion piece because it is just too pricey. Any ideas?  Thanks! Kristen

a lot of illusion pieces can be purchased separately - go to a bridal salon and they will have some you can try on to see what you like before you purchase it.

But honestly, I would just call around to bridal shops to see if they would sell you them as separates.

This may be an extremely stupid question but I literally did not know you could buy illusion pieces separately until this thread.  

How do they work separately? Are they sewn in during alterations or do you wear them like a jacket? I am obsessed with lace gowns, don't even get me started on lace gowns with an illusion neckline.  The only thing that would concern me with a separate illusion piece on a lace dress would be the obvious change in pattern or fabric where the lace overlaps. I have larger breasts so the cleavage and whole idea of strapless dresses scares me, I would be so ecstatic if I could buy any dress and then have an illusion piece added to it.

They can be buttoned in, so you can remove it if you'd like.
