Bridesmaid Gowns being purchased online any thoughts?

How do you ladies feel about purchasing bridesmaid gowns online? seems like more of a selection and can be compared easily however of course you have to be wary of sizing.

let me know your thoughts as I am looking to have my bridesmaids purchase their gowns online
how soon should they purchase for a June wedding the site will deliver within 20days

I personally wouldn't be pleased to be your bridesmaid and asked to purchase a dress I hadn't tried on or seen in person. 

What sites are you looking at? 

You have to be very very careful ordering online. There are many scams and knockoff dealers out there. Where is the company based? Are they listed as an authorized retailer on the designer's website? Have you read reviews of the site? What is their return policy (PLEASE do not make your ladies order a dress online that they cannot return)? Do a reverse image search on the pictures they have on their website and make sure they haven't stolen the picture from another site. 

Have you tried David's Bridal or even a designer carried in tons of stores like Alfred Angelo, the Dessy Group, or Mori Lee?

My wedding dress was actually a bridesmaid's dress that I ordered from www.ShopJoielle.com. It was a great experience. But you do have to be careful to avoid knockoff sites.

Check out Pearls Place.  They have a website and are a brick and mortar store in NOLA (I think).  They carry most designers.  My DD's BM's tried on dresses at David's and a couple of other salons and are ordering from Pearls Place.  One of my other DD's ordered a BM dress there about 5 years ago, saved a boat load of money.

The bride DD checked reviews of them last week.  People who are going in the store don't seem to be happy with the face to face customer service.  People who are ordering online seem to be really pleased and her BM's are comfortable doing this because they have tried on the dresses.
