No rehersal....is that bad???

I am trying to decide if we need a rehersal or could we just skip it.  Here is the situation....Our wedding is at a country club and they have dining for their members on friday evenings.  If we wanted to have a rehersal it will have to be done by 4pm.  I thought 3pm to start rehersal is a little early, especially when most of my bridesmaids are 3+ hours away.  The other options is to have it in the morning the day of the wedding.Here is something else to throw in the mix.....my ceremony starts at 4pm.  My bridesmaids are not getting their hair or makeup done so there would be very little to do on the morning of the wedding (besides rehersal and watching me do everything).  I guess that is why I started to lean towards not having rehersal because that way the out of town bridesmaids don't have to spend money on hotel the night before my wedding and to sit around and do nothing on the day of my wedding.  Since pictures for the ladies do not start until 2pm, they truely don't have to be there if they don't want to.Any thoughts??

Is the wedding very complicated? If it's simple enough I think you could definitely get away without one. Just try to email your party any pertinent info ahead of time. If it's really involved, you might want to try and squeeze one in. But really, why stress yourself out with an extra task.

You might want to just arrange something between you two and your officiant. It does not even need to be the night before. It is nice to know how things are going to go. I don't think a rehearsal is necessary. In fact your BP might like not having an extra wedding related event to go to.
