mom's veil doesn't match gown

I've planned on wearing my mom's veil long before I got engaged. Even though she had preserved, it did yellow a bit to the point where it looks ivory. (She did get married 40 years ago! ) my gown is pure white. Would it look to awkward together or would it still work?

I wouldn't wear it as-is. I think it'll look pretty off based on how you've described it. I've never tried this, but what about this method: http://www.ehow.com/how_10067053_yellow-out-veil.html Or, are there pearls, rhinestones, etc that you could take from it and apply to a new one so you have a part of it with you?

It's hard to say without a picture. Sometimes the differences between ivory and white are so subtle. Why not put the dress and veil on next time you're together with your bmaids and see what they think?
