What is your fave song that is fun/ upbeat about just having a great time?

BESIDES BLACK EYED PEAS "GONNA BE A GOOD, GOOD NIGHT" Looking for the same general message but not that song.

I despise that song, no it is not going to be a good, good night because I hate you BEP, that's why.

'Best Day of My Life' - American Authors has been putting me in a good mood lately but it's over played...so it may just get annoying. I like it at this point though and it lifts my spirits.

'Ain't it Fun' - Paramore is upbeat and I love it but it's general message is: 'You're an adult now so suck it up.'
  • Well, I don't know if these are the style you are looking for.. but:

    Waiting For Tonight, Jennifer Lopez
Good Vibrations - Marky mark & the Funky Bunch
The sign - Ace of Bace
    Show me Love - Robyn
A little part never killed no one - Fergie
    Allstar - Smash Mouth
Only wanna dance with you - Ke$ha
    One week - barenakedladies

Very eclectic but (to me at least) all feel-good!

@doeydo I'm obsessed with the Beatles so twist & shout is actually a really good answer for what I'm looking for!!

Trying to think of the final song for my wedding videographer when it's the reception/ dancing scenes. I don't want something what will be too outdated in a few years.

  • We're planning to have "Right Round" (the Flo-Rida version) as the second-to-last dance song of the night.  It sounds fun when you're not actually paying too close attention but at closer look it's probably about strippers...? Oh well.

Others have already written some of what I'd suggest as well.

Oddly, the first thing that came to mind is Pink's "Get the Party Started" but that's from like, 2001-2002 and might fit your "too outdated" bill.

I have not heard this song in such a long time. Thanks for bringing it back into my life!

  • It's old but it's good I love the song I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston.  I also like the song Happy, but it's getting overplayed in the radio quite a bit now.

i hate that song, lol. It was definitely on my "do not play list..."  except my bridesmaids did not know this and had set up a surprise flash mob in their toast and they used that song!  At first the music started and my first reaction was "WTF I told the DJ to NOT play that song!" and then I realized what was going on and I forgave them, haha.

all I can think of to add is "Here for The Party" from Gretchen Wilson, but I am a country fan... that or anything Justin Timberlake! Like I Love you, Sexy Back, etc...
