How many people do you think will arrive to work late at your work? Then of course I'll probably do a new pole tomorrow evening to see how many ACTUALLY were.

Haha, I wanted to vote for the last one, but I figured I was the first vote and should be a little serious.

It's spring break this week at my university, and most people don't have a defined start time, like 9 or 10, and just show up at some point during the morning. So it's unlikely anyone will really be LATE.

  • Teachers/staff - None.  Parents/kids - at least a few hundred, though that's pretty normal at my school.  We have major traffic issues (1000 K-9 kids, so everyone gets driven cos little Johnny will get kidnapped if walks across the street to school) so parents have started dropping their kids off late to avoid it.

My co-workers and I (all TAs) have comprehensive exams tomorrow so I'm sure everyone one is going to check all their clocks and set a million alarms to make sure they are on time!

I'm a grad student, and being late would mean me not showing up to teach my class on time. If I'm ever late it's usually by a minute or two. As for my collegues, I don't know. I know one guy just didn't show up for his class sometimes, so they basically fired him. I also take classes. I am generally on time to my grad classes, but I'm never on time to my undergrad Spanish class : / As far as my professors go...neither of them are ever on time. And they're both Germans!! Their cultural identity has larely to do with being punctual! The students are never on time, except for a select few.
  • I'm pretty much the only person who is ever on time at my office. Since I took the day off, everyone will be late!

Day light savings time is the worst! There always seems to be at least one employee, who is 'that' employee who walks into work late, and blames day light savings. There was even one, a couple of years ago, that was late in the fall.....when it goes *back*, & tried to say they didn't know the time changed, when really, they should have been an hour early if that had been the case. Worst part was, no one said anything..:S

  • My bosses were early, as they always are. I unwillingly dragged my ass out of bed this morning to arrive at the same time I always do. Coworker is still MIA. I seriously considered calling out sick today. But I don't think Daylight Saving Time is a valid excuse.
  • In all my years of working, I've never had a co-worker late because of DST. Everyone was on time today.
  • My office is flexible on start and end times as long as you're there roughly during business hours.
  • It depends on what you define as 'on time' and 'late.'

None of my co-workers were substantially late -- like the kind of late that's indicative of time-change problems.

But all of us were late because of the stupid traffic jam that caused a 5-mile back up on the main road.

I'm gonna go with 'not my circus, not my monkeys.'
  • I take a commuter train, which cruelly arrived a few minutes early today. The train is usually packed and I would say the number of people on it was less than half of normal.
  • I have a coworker that shows up like 2 minutes late and that's about it. At my work you're almost expected to show up early to get med checks done so that the person whose shift you're taking over can leave on time. It's really extra rude at my work to be late since that means the other person can't leave until you get there, and it very rarely happens.

I've been That Guy on Daylight Savings... but I showed up an hour early. Ha.

  • No one was late here. I think it's because they had Sunday to adjust to the hour change.
  • I set my own start and end times.   I'm never late or leaving early.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • My boss lets us set our own hours as long as they are reasonable so no one is eve really late for work.

Ha. I was all, "NAH WON'T BE LATE."

J forgot to change the time on his alarm clock, and woke up 30 minutes late for a doctor's appointment. Although I DID change the time on MY alarm clock, I still managed to sleep in by 45 minutes. Oops.

  • Thank God for cell phones. Ever since I got rid of my alarm clock in favor of the alarm on my phone, I've never had this issue.

FIVE of my teammates are off work today. I have no idea why, but that means that there are three of us holding down the fort. Kind of wishing I worked from home in my PJs as there is no point physically being here.

Seeing as there was a police stand off on the freeway this morning with shots fired... a lot of people will be late.

Edit- we don't do day lights savings time here, so if anyone is late, they've got other issues. But for some reason, my fiance's LG G2 and his friend's G2 both set the clocks back an hour, despite having it set for local time.

My phone keeps me from being late during time changes. Cause I know it's right.
