Stupid tech question

How do you turn a link into a word? I'm not the most tech savvy person, my FI is but I hate asking him tech questions because then he goes in to preachy mode. Lol

On here? You type the word as you want it to appear, highlight it, then click the "Insert Hyperlink" button (the one that looks like a chain with a green plus sign) to add the link.

You mean on the knot, how to make a word a link?   Assuming you are on a computer, you can highlight a word and thin click on the chain looking thing next to the picture on the upper right.  Then enter the URL and press submit. 

I'm not on mobile much, so I don't know about that.
