Meals for Motor Coach Driver?

Hi Knotties! My fiance and I will be providing guest meals for our photographer and her assistant as well as our DJ and his assistant. We're just curious if we need to provide a meal for our guest motor coach driver as well. This person will be working for us from 3:30-11:30pm, and the coach will be parked outside our venue for the duration of the reception (i.e. it's shuttling guests to the reception and from the reception). Thoughts?

Re: Meals for Motor Coach Driver?

  • He or she will be working during a meal time (dinner, in this case) so yes, IMO you should provide a meal for him or her.

  • I would say yes. They are being paid for a service the same as your DJ and other vendors are.

Yes. I would provide a meal to this vendor. If they had some soft of break or gap in the time ie: dropping you off at the venue and then picking you up again 5 hours later, I would say no, they can use that time to get a meal on their own. But since they will be working through a meal time, yes they should be provided a meal.
