My boss is out of the office and has forwarded his calls to me. Normally he forwards them to my coworker, who has worked here longer than I have. Well, my coworker must have issues with this because every fucking time my fucking phone rings, as soon as I hang it up she comes over and asks, "What was that all about?"

Um, it was about MIND YOUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS, that's what it was about. If it concerns you or I need your help, I will let you know.

Generally we can all hear and/or listen to each other's conversations when our doors are open, but just because we can doesn't mean we should blatantly let the other person know we were eavesdropping.

I wish I had the balls to just tell her it's not something that concerns her, but I don't. I'm with her 40+ hours a week and just don't think the tension would be worth it. As punishment, I'm just going to eat my very crunchy apple here at my desk for the next 10 minutes or so.

ETA: Typo.

  • LOL I'm usually lonely in my back office all day with no calls, no coworkers walking by, no friends in the lunchroom, nothing. But this makes me a little glad I don't have to interact with people!

Eat something stinky too like a can of tuna :)

  • Ugh, that would be so annoying. Today in my office-world I got to listen to my co-worker across the hall from me clipping his nails (which he does every week). It takes everything in me to not say anything! GROSS!

  • That's so annoying.
  • I live with this!

Any time a phone rings, there's a conversation, the TV volume increases (like for a commercial) or anything happens, FI's son runs out of his bedroom asking what happened. He spends most of his time in his room by choice but seems convinced that he's missing out on something amazing.
